I'm glad he's finally appreciated by artists with his ability to do research. If you go back and watch a lot of his older stuff from the '90s and early 2000s a lot of the artists were really upset with him and easily angered by him.
At least artists now are a little more humble and enjoy it.

I love how the young generation really likes nardwuar and respects his craft. A lot of the people he interviewed in the 90s and 00s just blew him off. It's probably because they knew him very well from CZcams prior to being interviewed by him where the older generation got a crash course of nardwuar. I don't know how I would act with this random dude asking me crazy questions acting all weird tbh though if I were in their shoes. I'd love to meet nardwuar now though
Some of the older folks like him too. I think some are just super private so they get a bit uncomfortable.
CZcams wasn't huge back then tbh and wasn't really used as a news outlet for a long time.
The older generation(s) tends to be much more reserved. Internet, mostly social media, has broken that barrier for a lot of people. Plus he doesn't exactly give off a 'professional' appearance at first. It's more of a satirical approach in all reality. He shows he is incredibly well informed while the interviewee tends to have a good time. Similar to a magic trick. Even nowadays a freelance no name wouldn't get the time of day from most people. Especially since interviewers and paparazzi tend to be quite parasitic people.
