I am not easily impressed, and I have seen a lot of guitarists. But if I had to pick only one, it would be Marco Sfogli, he's just the best guitarist on the planet. Always musical, toneful, exciting, daring, smooth, tasty, and just brilliant!

Why does it always have to be “oh I hear this person or that person in this one”
You hear Marco ! And to me it’s a disrespect to how great he is, to CONTINUE wanting to compare him to this person or that person.
I’ve listened to all these guys since they came out.
I can say someone sounds like someone every song if I really wanted to find a few parts that had similar sound.
But I don’t. This is Marco, and his music, his uniqueness, his story that’s being told.
So for fuck sakes I just encourage everyone to maybe instead tell him what u like about the song instead of these comparisons

I came back to listen to this song and didn’t even remember leaving a comment. After I read it, I realized I prolly came off as a dick, my apologies.
But I still stand behind what my point was, about not comparing guys.
Each time I hear this song it’s more special. And while maybe u think satch is an incredible player, maybe some people don’t like satch.
Coming from a guy who grew up listening to surfing with the aliens.
Marco imo is better in terms of melodies, it’s not close.
Not for me it isn’t. But that’s ok, that’s not saying satch sucks, that’s saying that people get better over time !
In any sport, all records will be broke, and Marco, is better rounded.
There is no one in music better at melodies then Marco ! No one !
Including Guthrie, and I personally think Guthrie is the best guitar player in the world, in terms of totality, and I still feel that way.
But when it comes to melodies, inspiration, being emotionally takin over. Marco 1000 percent

Of This Earth and several others. Sounds a lot like Satriani. It’s OK. Sfogli is a morph of Satriani and Petrucci and sometimes Timmons.

I’ve never heard satch play anything this amazing and I’ve heard all his music over and over when I was growing up.

Saw new Marco Sfogli’s track, opened, liked coz it’s gonna be too awesome. In other words, the sky is blue. Wrong era to be born, if he had been in the times before 80s he would have been considered to be one of the greatest guitarist of all time.

Azu 7 have you ever heard of Andy timmons, Gary Moore, JP? Those are the guitarists with the best melodic phrasing. Have you ever heard of Greg Howe, Eric Johnson, Guthrie Govan. Those are the guitarist with the most technicality and skills. I have listened of almost all of PG stuff my friend you Seems like you’ve only listened to Paul Gilbert and been obsessed with him? Cmon man listen to other guitarists as well.
Music has nothing to do with times. He always be one of the best. Maybe u mean the level of popularity. I dont think the level of popularity means so much than music. He does what he loves and thats music is all about
