Started as a joke, then I started to recording but for curiosity I searched the day of his death, April 30th...I saw this on April 16th and all I did was cut some parts and add James' whistle, I said FUCK gotta film fast. You have no idea how much time I spent to do the route and the animation edit at the end.

Nicely done! You took every single detail of the original Brave Engineer into consideration and applied that to this remake. The bridge exploding, the collision, the yard scene... I don't know how to describe it!

"Oh no!" He said. "I'm running late!"
As soon as the mail was loaded onto James' train, he took off so quickly that he would've made Gordon jealous!
2:09 As soon as he was out of the storm, James returned to his full speed. "Hurry, hurry, hurry!" He said. He wasn't pretending to be like Gordon. He really meant it! But then, there was trouble! A cow had strayed onto the line, and James had to stop again! His driver applied the brakes, and James stopped with his buffers a few inches away from the cow. "Shoo! Shoo!" He said. James blew his whistle and let off steam. Fortunately, he didn't have to wait long, as the cow, walked off the track on her own accord, allowing James to zoom past.
Steam Attack that was FANTASTIC. Your visuals were superb and meshed beautifully with the audio. I love that Disney Short!

Wow.... this was impressive. Non only did you synchronize the original audio and your remade video, AND perfectly splice in the parts of the original animation you couldn't recreate in trainz, but you took the time to make the yard he left from! That was awesome!

Any commendation you get for this is well earned. It was surprisingly endearing to watch this. You did everything right and even went out of your way to create complex sets just to facilitate the yard scenes. You've certainly earned a sub from me :)

I just watched this after I watched like 15 seconds of Bertha: the True Story. Thomas is like my go-to after watching spoopy vids.
But really though, this was amazing! The animation for the guards was spot on, and frankly, Bertie makes a good bandit!

Though.... I would have used Donald and Douglas instead of Bill and Ben personally, cause they match better to the Disney short, amazing how you kept everything matching up to the original short. Especially the water out of the funnel. Would have made Bill and Ben at least move a little slower to match with the huffing sound when it cut to them but that's just me being nitpicky, Still a good short. Loved it!
22Tesla it would makes sense if D&D came out from the little western branchline, but since Edward's branchline is near to Gordon's hill I use B&B because they work there

Y’know, I was thinking of doing this myself with James as well, in wooden railway form, but I have no idea how to do those points at the beginning. I also like how James has express headcodes. I remember watching the original Casey Jones cartoon, and instantly thinking of James.
The meme steam engine well, that headcodes is also for newspaper express. In trainz there's not a real mail headcode so i choose the most close, and logical, one. For the points the only thing i can say is you don't need to be accurate to the original cartoon like me. So try, i'm sure you can do it

Y'know, James being this conscientious about his timetable actually works well for a little headcanon I have; engines with lamps on their running plates have little clocks behind their lamps that they can look at.

I think i’d rename this “Casey James”.
Edit: maybe not, because i’d rather choose Edward to be Casey’s engine for three reasons:
1. He and Casey’s engine are both number 2
2.He and Casey’s engine have the same wheel configuration
3. He has a better tired face than James
LOL two problems with that, though. #1: Casey Jones’ real engine was numbered #382. And #2: It was a 4-6-0 Ten-Wheeler design.
Casey 4-4-0 engine is Johnny.
