      @@LeeZavitz And you think right. I believe lots of creators want to see that high quality content even that is not a TRENDING cinematic b-roll thing. You are giving ton of knowledge and we need that at these times where we are we upscaling our skills.

    Really informative, really useful, great insights into practical creativity on the fly. Thanks you very much. Keep this series going if you can, it's very much appreciated.

      Appreciate it! I might do some more in the future. It seems that people aren’t really interested in this topic (based off views) so I kind of decided to put it on the back burner for now.

      With the Slide starting at 10:26, is that set design or were the flyers/paper already there? Killer location

    Love this series! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and putting in the effort to make these breakdowns. It's really helpful and informative.
    I would like to know if the practical bulbs were chosen by you, or were they part of the location already? What I wanna ask mainly, is if the bulbs and the key were at the same temperature?
    And one more, do you lock exposure in your camera and then adjust the lighting accordingly, or do you change the f/T stops to accommodate the lighting?
    This is the second video I've seen from you, and already learned a ton. Thanks for the effort!

    • @LeeZavitz
      @LeeZavitz  Před 4 lety

      Marko Kovacevic practicals were already there. Some didn’t work so I took bulbs out of lights not in the frame and put them into lights that were not working in frame. Bulbs were not the same temp as key. If you want normal skin tones and practical lights to look warm you have set whiteballance for the room/subject. If by “locking exposure” you mean leave the camera at one iso and shutter. Yes, I try to light for iso800. Sometimes I have to bump to iso1000 but 800 is the sweet spot on most cinema cameras. And I usually adjust lighting to work for that. If it’s too bright I use Nd filters

      Thank you so much for your reply @@LeeZavitz ! I really appreciate it! The key and the bulbs look (at least to me) very similar in color, so that's the reason I wanted to find out. Does it mean that your key was tungsten balanced? Yes for the "locking exposure", thank you for explaining the principle. Really, tank you for the effort, I have learned a lot, and I think the one light setup really works and compliments the location. If budget was different, what would you have added to the lighting? Cheers!

    what was the shots list like for this shoot?? what were the takes you took?

    • @LeeZavitz
      @LeeZavitz  Před 4 lety +1

      There was no real shot list for this video because it was a performance video and We’ve shot so many of these kinds of videos. We went in with a plan in our heads. typical shots. wides, closeups, detail shots. Cover what we could in a short period of time. We only had 6hrs to shoot it

    • @JohnnyBoyUploads
      @JohnnyBoyUploads Před 4 lety +1

      @@LeeZavitz Thanks for the reply. The video looks great! With a short time to shoot, you would obviously have a plan in your head which would come with experience.. that's great!
      Love your work man! Thanks again!
