Why don’t worms like fresh air? Where does a woodpecker go for contemplation? What do slugs think about organic gardening, and when does a pond become a singles bar for frogs? All is revealed when the garden dwellers discuss life in their urban turf.
Nick Park’s Creature Comforts took the classic documentary style and applied it to the lives of wild animals and pets, matching a cast of clay characters with human voices to charming effect. Originating from Nick’s 1989 Academy Award®-winning short film, Creature Comforts was unique for using unscripted vox-pop interviews with the British public in a stop motion series that has become an Aardman classic.
The success of the short film led to two TV series, which broadcast on ITV, and an iconic series of commercials for the Electricity Board’s ‘Heat Electric’ campaign. Creature Comforts also went across the pond to the USA where the unique format was used once again to tell real-life stories from people in America. The claymation characters portray very human traits and contemplate absurdities of the universe such as, ""Do bald eagles ever feel self-conscious?"" and ""What makes pigs feel sexy?""

I like that the interview with the hedgehog is at night because hedgehogs are nocturnal. Nice detail there.
I sincerely hope that fan favorites “cat and dog” show up again in future episodes. I would like to visit them some day.

Woodpeckers segments are hilarious, 😂😂
So I’ve watched a few of these and initially thought it was dialogue written before hand. But it appears to me now that it’s really off the cuff. Give people a topic, such as gardening, and record them. Then do the claymation to match the dialogue. It’s brilliant really. Am I wrong?

Currently being fussy about my apartment and about a new car. I could imagine myself being fussy about a garden and making it perfect also. But I think there is such a thing specifically as a 'garden person'. I don't think I am that person. At least not yet. Maybe as the male cat says, when I have lots of time and nothing to do I'll be fussy about a garden. Right now it feels like the harder chore, and one where you can't enjoy the fruit of your efforts, if the weather's bad you're not in it. But you're in the apartment and the car regardless of whether. I guess I'm like the male cat haha :D
Plus points to gramma for remembering the name of the unfortunate plant :)
Think of a garden, especially a small one as an extra room.
Start by growing herbs that you like, Mint and Basil in large pots, or tomatoes and chillies.
And buy a comfortable deck chair!
