So basically, both Salamence and Palkia are dragon type Pokémon, and dragon type Pokémon are super effective against dragon type pokemon, so Salamence is strong against Palkia, but Palkia is also strong against Salamence. However, google in the past reffered to dragon type as a whole as "Salamence type", which became a meme in the community. Therefore, instead of saying that Palkia is weak against dragon types, google says that Palkia is weak only against Salamence. Hope that helped! (Google recently fixed it, but it was there for a long time).
Rock type also used to be called Onix type.

12:50 she was being sarcastic about "it's alright, she also had a deoxys" if you didn't know, Lugia and Deoxys are both Legendary Pokémon and both Pokémons are really tough, not to mention a gym battle with it.
Though Deoxys is a glass cannon unless it's the Defense form Deoxys.
11:41 Jan (pronounced Yan) actually did the damage calculations and Micheal the Sandslash might have actually survived if it wasn’t a Critical Hit.
for an explanation of Azumaril, it
A) has a 50% percent chance of having an ability that doubles its attack stat, so a watet bunny mouse with a natural attack stat of 60 could functionally rock a 120 attack stat.
B) a walking mass of health points, meaning even with a hard hit, it can can tank it and hit back even harder.
C) has a type advantage over The Nidoqueen, so a single physical water attack, which azumaril can learn, would have nuked that nidoqueen.
Azumarill's base attack is 50 so it had base 100 instead. Which is still kool.
@@flameemperor7047
Actually about that. Stat boosting abilities don't boost the base stat but boosts the current Attack stat. So really, Huge Power Azumarill is more equivalent to having a base Attack Stat of 148-149~
@@golork3267 Weird. Ive always heard it boosts the base stats 0.o i mean its pog either way.
@@flameemperor7047
No, none of the special abilities or stat boosting items do that.
They all directly affect the current stat at the current level. It gets pretty insane results as you'd imagine. It's why Meditite and Medicham hit so hard, they're attack stats being much higher than a base of 120.
Medicham having a base stat more akin to 169 instead of 60, since they always have Pure Power.

Nuzlocke rules:
Nickname all pokemon you catch
You can catch only the first pokemon you see per route. If you flee ir it is knocked out, you can't catch any other pokemon that route. It has to be the first one you encounter in the wild.
If your pokemon us knocked out, they are dead and you are supposed to release them but most people usually just put them in a seperate box in the PC.
Common optional rules: no items, only one pokemon of each type, HM slaves can be knocked out but can't be used in battle afterward.
*”if your Pokémon is knocked out...”
Common optional rules *no items in battle
Another optional rule is the Dupes Clause.
The one you started with is Chimchar. A Pokémon who evolves into Monferno, and then Infernape.

16:24 Entei is one of the Legendary Dogs together with Suicune and Raikou, they're first introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver
Everyone has explained the rules, but since they’re are different versions of various nuzlockes. I would recommend the most basic one where you nickname Pokémon when they’re caught, the first Pokémon you see in a route out in the wild is your encounter and can only be rerolled if it is the same Pokémon or Pokémon evolutionary line like charmander charmeleon charizard for example, if your Pokémon faints it is considered dead and can’t be used in battle (dead Pokémon are ether released, or kept in the Pc under a box that some name dead Pokémon/unusable Pokémon), and lastly you can use items in battle like potions. Aside from that you can put berries for Pokémon to hold on to that will be used when they reach orange or red health to heal them by give or take 10-30 hp for them to survive longer from possible or eminent death in Pokémon.
The items in battle one is not standard. That is considered a harder version of a nuzlocke that is not recommended for beginners or people that aren't confident in their tactics. It is popular with nuzlockers like Pokémon Challenges and other seasoned nuzlockers.
@@Good_Hot_Chocolate yes it is standard, because most will not use items in battle or in general that is not reccomended for beginners. maybe you read it wrong?, but nonetheless even if it isn't correct based on how you read it i think these are good basic rules of a nuzlocke.
Salamence is known as "the dragon pokemon", so for a few years, Google had confused Salamence and "Dragon-Type", so... yeah.
5:34 They’re catchable. I’ve catched at least seven of them down there before making it to Veilstone City to battle Maylene.
Regarding your pokemon run, if you're in the caves the best pokeballs to use underground are called Dusk balls. Their catch rate is way higher than normal balls when in the Dark!
16:07 Zangoose and Loudred aren't bad but they're not legendaries while at the original scene, it's supposed to be legendaries, but since its a nuzlocke, the pokemon are randomized.
They’re also both normal types, so per the rules of soul links, they can’t use them.
Since it's a randomized* nuzlocke. Randomizer are not standard for nuzlockes. Just a fun option.
Palkia is a legendary pokémon that was first introduced in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond and Pearl, if I remember correctly Palkia is a Dragon type and Dragon types are weak against their own. The reason why they were teasing Palkia with "If I only had a Salamence" is that Palkia is weak against dragon types, Salamence is also Dragon type, although if you google Palkia's weaknesses it would state only 'Salamence' instead of 'Dragon'.
So they're saying it like as if Palkia a legendary pokémon has some type of phobia against Salamence no other Dragon type, just Salamence.
(Sorry im bad at explaining because English isn't my first language but i hope this helps ;v;)
The only issue that I saw in your grammar is it would be "Dragon types are weak against themselves" not "Dragon types are weak against there own"
@@jacobstrangman7564 ''dragon types are weak against their own'' is technically correct, is just not what is usually used in english because it isnt specific enough
Ok.
4:48 Houndoom is easily my favorite pokemon and has been since gen 2. The ones in the underground are difficult to catch, but worth it since underground pokemon come with egg moves (moves they don't normally learn, but can be hatched with if one of their parents knew it).
If you're having difficulty catching pokemon in the underground, I'd recommend getting a pokemon that can put them to sleep or paralyze them. Yawn is a good sleep move that has high accuracy, but takes an extra turn to take effect, however it's available early on and is reliable. Thunder Wave is a really good paralysis move, but is kinda hard to get early on (I think) and doesn't effect ground types. Doing either will make them easier to catch both by raising their catch rate and by making them attack less often. Hope that helps!
There's also the various "Powder" moves, like Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, & Poison Powder.
The Middle Finger is a pokemon known as “MissingNo”, being an unfinished or glitched up code of a Pokemon, in The games Pokemon Red, and Pokemon Blue.
It’s also stupidly overpowered
It's also bird type
@@Good_Hot_Chocolate hehe i didnt know that. That makes it funnier
@@gothic_ace2037 Yeah, the only one of its kind
And it can also break the game, literally. Which is why it's pretty much a bad idea to ever use the damn thing.

"That's a lot of pokémon to go against"
I mean, it *is* the champion. It'd be weird if he *didn't* have a full team of 6. The whole "stacked" comment was referring to the strength of the pokémon, not their number.
About the Palkia joke:
Palkia's typing is Dragon/Water, so that means it's weak to Fairy and Dragon. Buuuuut there was a time Google called the Dragon type as Salamance (Salamance is a Dragon/Flying pokemon)
yes that was 😂
You NEED to watch emirichu’s new video “the worst thing that’s happened to me on tour”
Yes, you can catch them, just use better poke balls! Like a dusk ball might work.
I felt yours and Alpharad's pain there concerning Houndoom. It took me SEVERAL attempts to catch one in Brilliant Diamond. But I finally got it...in a standard Poke Ball, even.
Catch houndoar (i think it it's name) it's really easy to catch with a great ball
@@Peloisreal Which would be great advice... except that you can't catch Houndour in BDSP; only Houndoom.
Try premier balls, I know they have the same catch rate as pokeballs but somehow I have been able to get everything more easily with them. Even did several runs in different games using only premier balls. Got multiple legendaries within 10.
@@Good_Hot_Chocolate I actually caught every Legendary Pokemon in one of the Gen 7 games in Premier Balls because I wanted to.
@@montyeggman3075 good stuff! It's pretty much the only way I play now when I'm just 100% the game, or playing for fun.
The nuzlock rules are.
You have to catch the first pokemon you run into per route. If a pokemon faints it dies and you can't use it anymore. And you have nickname them to get more attached to them. You can also make it harder for the nuzlock by saying you can't use potions or over level them.
I hope this helps love your videos and I hope you do a nuzlock😊😊😊
You can
You have to nicknam
One other rule Jaiden probably mentioned (and I might’ve zoned out 😅) but in a Nuzlocke, you can only catch and add the first Pokémon you find in an area to your team, so you only get so many chances to add new team members, before you’re out of luck.
“Soul Link” is pretty apparent in hindsight - the Pokémon both players catch have their use linked. If one player wants to use one, the other player has to use the other Pokémon in that pair, no exceptions. If one of them flat-lines, the other one by extension is also 6 feet under, and the pair becomes unusable. One player just being super unlucky and losing their Pokémon can cost both players this challenge sometimes; it’s pretty grueling 🥲.
The blue Plapp you saw is Piplup, a water type starter from Sinnoh, the fourth generation, if you restart Diamond, you can choose Piplup.
Hey friend, just wanted to say I enjoyed your reaction very much. But also, I wouldn’t recommend attempting a Nuzlocke until you become much more familiar with the Pokémon games in general. Just keep enjoying Pokémon your own, casual way. And don’t give up on trying to catch a Pokémon after only two balls!
Palkia (and Lugia, Dioxus and Suicun, who were also mentioned in the video) is a legendary Pokémon
They ran into a lot of legendaries because the Pokémon were randomized
Alpharad mentioned the chicken sandwich was from a local restaurant, and he also mentioned that it was really good.
Fun fact: That "middle finger" is actually a glitch Pokémon from Red Blue and Yellow.
5:25 Alright, I just HAVE to know, are you referring to the pokemon Beldum because I can honestly say that trying to catch Beldum in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE for me so if you're talking about trying to catch Beldum then believe me I totally get it...!😨
6:36 The joke is that fairy is a type and salamance is a Pokemon which normally you wouldn't see a pokemon as a type weakness😂
0:50 his name is chimchar🥰
Seeing as its dragon type it should say that palkia is weak to dragon type (derived from the belief that only a dragon could kill a dragon) but it just says salamance, a specific dragon type pokemon
There are many types of Nuzlockes. Another one is called a Monotype Nuzlocke. Monotype Nuzlockes rules include: Pokemon only can be a type of the players choice and the standard Nuzlocke rules are still inplace.
Nuzlocke Rules:
You can only capture the first Pokémon you encounter per route (every time you arrive at a new route, it notifies you at the bottom of your screen (cities also count as routes))
If a Pokémon faints, it dies and you can’t use it anymore (so you have to free them or put them on a box in the PC at the Pokémon Center as a Dead Box)
And you have to nickname your Pokémons to get more attached to them.
There are some other rules that are optional like the Dupes: Basically, if you encounter, as your first encounter in a route, a Pokémon from the same evolutionary line that you have already caught, you get a second try to capture another Pokémon.
Or there’s also the rule that no potions during battles but the Dupes one and this one are optional.
There’s a lot of other ones but these are the main ones, hope they help
Thanks this helped alot
In the underground I farm for the stones but I keep getting fire and nothing else also yes houndoon is catchable I caught him
Lemme tell ya 2 things.
1. It's possible to catch pokemon in the Grand Underground. The problem is, they'll always match your average team level, but if you catch a Pokemon in the Grand Underground, it can know Egg moves, which are moves that pokemon can learn from breeding. (The pokemon that you breed won't learn it, the pokemon from the egg will know it.)
2. In Floraroma Town, there are two old people near the entrance, if you have save data of Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee! or Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, they'll give you a Mew! Mew can learn every TM and BP (Battle Points, a post-game thing.) move!If you have save data of Sword or Shield, they'll give you Jirachi! The problem is, you get them at level 5. (P.S. before you reach the pokemon league, I'd suggest that you get any of these 3 pokemon: Garchomp, it starts as Gible, then evolves into Gabite, then it evolves into garchomp, Weavile, which you get by leveling up a sneasel while it's holding a razor claw at night, and Togekiss, which you get by evolving Togepi into Togetic and then Togekiss, Togepi is a friendship Evolution, Togetic evolves with a Shiny Stone.)
Slight correction on the Togepi evolution process: Togepi > Togetic is a friendship evo, but Togetic > Togekiss evolves with a Shiny Stone :)
@@tra12048 Oh ok. I'll fix that.
Btw Pokémon like houndoom you need an ultra ball to catch them with
Yesssss I've been waiting for this!
Regarding Salamence: It’s a specific Pokémon, which usually never happens when the game tells you what’s effective against a given Pokémon. That’d be like a Pokémon being weak to a couple specific elements and Pikachu or something- just really random.
I haven’t played Pokémon in a hot second so idk if it actually specifies Salamence or if Jaiden is summarizing Palkia’s weaknesses in a funny way (ie. maybe Salamence’s type classifications match perfectly with Palkia’s weaknesses).
Congrats on 690k subscribers! Keep up the great work!
The nuzlocke rules are:
▪︎If a pokemon faints its dead, and you cant use them anymore (put the fainted pokemon in pc inside the pokemon center or release them)
▪︎Your pokemons must not be over level against the gym leader's ace pokemon
▪︎ Must catch 1 pokemon per route
▪︎ Must play on set mode
▪︎ And must give a nickname to every pokemon you caught
▪︎Can't use items in battle against other trainer but held item like berries still can be used
-Optional Rules-
▪︎You can also add the rule where you must only catch 1 specific type of pokemon (base on your choice)
▪︎Can only use gift pokemon or pokemon that are hatched from an egg (for short you must not use pokeball to catch wild pokemon)
( This is just the rules i know im not sure if they are correct or complete but i hope it help you Aychristene can't wait for you nuzlocke💛💛)
Basically, in a nuzlocke you can only catch one Pokémon per route, you have to name the Pokémon and if a Pokémon faints it dies. Also salemence is a Pokémon.
Nuzlocke rule:
1.if a pokemon dies its dead and you need to delete it (release it)
2.you need to name your pokemon
3.you can only catch 1 pokemon per rout
The Nuzlocke Challenge has only two rules that must be followed:
Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead and must be released.
The player may only catch the first wild Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first wild Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. If the first encounter in the area is a double battle, the player is free to choose which of the two wild Pokémon they would like to catch but may only catch one of them. This restriction does not apply to Pokémon able to be captured during static encounters, nor to Shiny Pokémon.
(does this help …?)
And you must nickname every Pokémon
The Rules
1) If one of your pokemon faintes it dies instead meaning u can use it again
2) Every pokemon u catch u must name it
3) Every route that u enter or a new named area the first pokemon u see you are forced to catch it and not the others
Rules are
If it dies you cant use it
You can only catch one pokemon per route
You have to nickname every pokemon
Rules that you dont need
You can have only 1 of each pokemon
You have to realise dead pokemon
Finally it is happening

the rules of a nuzlocke is that if it dies you can't use it

Rules of a Nuzlocked
Rule .1: you can only catch one pokemom per route
Rule .2: you have to nickname all your pokemon
Rule .3: if any pokemon faints they "die" and have to be realesed or put in the box forever
Rule .4: you cant catch the same pokemon on a different route if you already have it or it alredy died.

One important rule that I believe makes nuzlockes interesting is the one where your Pokemons can't go over the lvl of the strongest Pokemon of the next gym leader or the champion.
NUZLOCKE RULES:
1) You can only catch the first pokemon you encounter per route. If it faints or if one of you flee, there are no second chances.
2) You must name every pokemon you catch.
3) If a pokemon faints, it is considered dead. It must either be released or permanently placed in the PC. Either way, it cannot be used again.
4) If every pokemon in your party is defeated and you “black out”, the game is over. Regardless of whether or not you still have pokemon in your PC.
5) To win the Nuzlocke, you must defeat the Champion and make it into the Hall of Fame.
6) Nuzlocke rules don’t go into effect until you receive pokeballs.
There are also additional rules, as well as exceptions to rules, to make the Nuzlocke easier or harder that you can add if you wish…

i am not gonna lie i love this video
The standard Nuzlocke rules pretty much boil down to nicknaming every Pokémon, only catching 1 Pokémon in every new area and if you encounter a Pokémon you already have you can try and get a different encounter and if a Pokémon faints, it’s dead and you can’t use it anymore. A slightly different type of playthrough I’d recommend trying is a mono-type run, it’s pretty much a playthrough where you can only use 1 type of Pokémon, for example, only using water types, I’ve done a ton of them in the past and had a ton of fun with them so I’d totally recommend trying one out
Yeah, you chose Chimchar. The best starter, with Piplup being a close second.
The easiest way to catch Pokemon, other than using a Quick Ball, is to use a stat condition--paralyze it, or freeze it, put it to sleep, and then whittle it down.
Also, Palkia and Kingdra, prior to the arrival of the fairy types, had no weaknesses other than dragons. Google just messed up on that.
It starts with ch and it's a fire type.
That's charzad

These are the rules of a Nuzlocke.
Mandatory Rules
These are the rules that every Nuzlocke has. I listed them from smallest to biggest.
1: You must name every Pokemon that you get.
2: You can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in any given area.
3: If a Pokemon loses all of its HP and faints, it is dead forever. It's up to you what happens to it's dead corpse. You can release it, or place it in a box for all eternity.
Optional Rules
Rules that you don't need, but can add if you want.
1: Dupes Clause
If your encounter is a Pokemon you already have, or if you have a Pokemon in the same evolution family, you are aloud to skip it and get a new encounter.
2: Shiny Clause
If you find a wild Shiny Pokemon but it's not your encounter, you can catch it anyway. There already hard enough to find and catch.
3: You must permanently enable Set Battle Style. That means that you need to waste a turn to switch your Pokemon instead of swapping in between their Pokemon.
4: No Items in battle. I specifically mean if you use it. So, for example, you give your Pokemon a berry and it eats it in battle, the Pokemon used it, not you.
5: No Over leveling. You can't enter a gym with a Pokemon higher level that the gym Leader's strongest Pokemon. If they level up in the gym, that's fine. I actually made this one myself.
You can also make up your own rules if you want.
I’m playing pearl and I also picked chimchar! (Mine is now a monferno)
What game do you want to see Jaiden do next?
Pokemon black and white
A Salamance is a Pokémon that you get
You can catch the ones in the underground
The underground Pokémon are cachable but they have a lower chachrate
If a Pokemon dies it dies forever and U can't us it
U can only catch 1 Pokemon per route
And U must name your Pokemon to get more attached

With some Pokémon you either have to certain amount of badge to catch them or use stronger pokéball like the a great ball or ultraball may even be a master ball but use it for Pokémon like the legend Pokémon or that one you really want but can’t ever get because you are too strong, weak, or slow mainly a Pokémon that and teleport have a ran away trait
salemence is a dragon mon and google thinks that dragon=salemence palkia is weak to fairy and dragon so you get the picture.

Chimchar?, you started with Chimchar wow Good choice, and Salamence is a pokemon, nuzlockes are randomized which means every pokemon is random even the rival battles and if a pokemon faintes it dies , there was many legendaries in these legendaries are very good pokemon and you gotta identify every one (mewtwo, palkia, entei, zapdos are legendaries) there is so much more and there is very much many strong pokemon in these.
