Listened to this while recovering from heart surgery in the hospital. Very good vibes helped me make it through some dark days. Great band

First time I listened to this song was a few years ago when I woke up with a huge hangover after the party and someone had that track in stories on Instagram. Loved it, felt like heaven

Mark my words these lads from Newtown, Australia. Will become one of the, if not the biggest bands to leave our Aussie shores, although these days Aussies are only into what's trending in and at the moment. These guys are innit for the long run and a BIG run thats for sure. Mark My Words.

I got recommended these by a friend about six months ago - he said I'd like them and they were really good. He wasn't wrong

These guys had to be Oasis fans. They embody what Oasis was when they were at their best...

    • @schwarzblatt

The influence is clearly there, among many others. I feel like DMA's write more intricate pop songs than Oasis ever did. Both great bands.

    • @scotty20040

They sound nothing like oasis, stop repeating nonsense. If anything, they sound like the Roses.

    • @tonymoran141
      @tonymoran141 Před 5 lety +1

They don't sound "nothing like oasis" the influence from both bands is obvious.

Try Flowered Up, The House of Love or the Pyscadellic furs and your getting warm... Oasis...No, sorry, you’re way off target... Admittedly- speaking very loosely - at best, there is a faint resemblance to one/two Oasis B-sides (namely Underneath the Sky and Listen up) but that’s it. Even the Roses reference is tenuous; how can a band sound like the SR without a proper rhythm section, when Ian Brown and the boys were the blackest white lads this side of Harlem? Really... if you think this is reminiscent of Oasis at their peak, in sound or scripture, then I question if you were even alive in the 90’s!

  • @27shocking
    @27shocking Před 8 lety +2

Bit surprised the album tracks that aren't singles are quite slow and not as good. Still a cracking band though, remind me of the start of my oasis obsession.

    Losing expression
    Facing the order
    Step up the morphine
    Stand by my side
    Bored of rejection
    Caught in the heavens
    Planning a new one
    Taking the sky
You were the silence in my brain
I'll tell her by the weather
We built a kingdom in the rain
    I think we're getting better
Sometimes I wonder why we bother at all
    Under impressions
    Growing and cooking
    Sideways and under
    Cure my glances
    Fortune and memories
    I should be loathing
    I couldn't find you
    And I shouldn't care
You were the silence in my brain
I'll tell her by the weather
We built a kingdom in the rain
    I think we're getting better
Sometimes I wonder why we bother at all
I ll rise to the sun
Sitting in the back of the ride
I ll rise to the sun
Sitting in the back of the ride
Sometimes I wonder why we bother at all
Sometimes I wonder why we bother at all
    Grant me a new one
    I'm growing slowly
    Sign of reflection
    Queued by a goddess
    Loaded and ready
    More than I wanted
    Step up the morphine
