Filming Fireworks on an iPhone - auto and manual settings

  • In this video I share my initial experiences filming fireworks with an iPhone, in my case an SE2 (so any newer iPhone should equal or better these results). First, a fireworks display in full auto to see if it's any good - it's actually surprisingly good - then I delve into some manual settings using an app called Filmic Pro.
    This all leads to some recommended settings as a starting point. I end by talking about the infernal ghosting effect caused by lens reflections which is obvious on any night footage filmed on an iPhone.
    Filmic Pro is a paid app but I think well worth the money for manual control over video settings, other apps may also be suitable however.
