  • Today in Huntsville, we had the opportunity to complete two distinct stump removal jobs. The first task involved removing two small stumps, which was efficiently taken care of for a fee of $100. In the second project, we were entrusted with the removal of multiple trees along with grinding their stumps. We successfully accomplished this comprehensive task as well.

@mikesorg6746, yes, it did Mike. I think because it's really hot this week. The guys don't want to play around all day.

Why does the guy I hired to grind my ash tree stump took 5 hours? He has something like yours. The stump was about 33 inches wide

I’d rather do 10 hundred dollar stumps then 1 thousand dollar stump.
    Grind on

@traceys9035, you're right. I would rather do the same with small stump remova jobs over huge stumps any day.

Mt new neighbor was having his new house built. There was an 85ft pine tree in
the contractors way so he called the logger who lives at the head of our lane.
The logger quoted him $100 to drop it for him. The new neighbor said
'Oh, Hell no. I'll have the crew helper do it'. He got a chainsaw for the helper &
the help dropped the tree. Right on top of the far neighbors garage. It cost
the new neighbor $30,000.00 to build the far neighbor a new garage.
    !

@Ourv9603, that sounds about right. I guess trying to be a tight wad just cost them some money and time instead of using a professional that does it every day. Thanks for watching!!! Keep grinding!!

Incredible, $100 here where I live , will hardly be enough to take the misses out to eat.

@hilldweller8610 In my area the cost of living is cheap. Sale taxes %5 and land taxes are $100 to $300 for a medium-sized house a year. Thanks for watching!!!!

I'm sceptical about the easy $100 when really that monster-hog and operater probably bill out @ much more per hour, .... but ya,

Chris has the cost of the drive time and maintenance of his equipment. Plus the cost of the machine. I would be more than happy to pay Chris $100-$200 per hour to remove stumps from my property. Plus Chris is professional and doesn't have an attitude like some of the folks out there.
