Amagugu - Full Episode 8 : Martha Ntshawe

Lizzy's mother Martha raised her with a sense of community and self-pride. Lizzy and her sister, Dipuo join a burial society to make sure they can afford a dignified funeral for their families. When their mother dies of Alzheimer's disease, they call upon their money from the burial society to pay for the funeral. The secretary of the burial society -- who also acts as undertaker for the funeral -- shocks them by saying she needs more money than the R30, 000 the sisters contributed. She also arrives to pick up their mother's body in a BMW X5 -- the first sign that the funeral is destined for disaster. Thereafter, the sisters are buffeted by a series of setbacks while organizing the funeral, including additional costs, dirty tents and no toilets. Lizzy eventually calls on the neighborhood and family to help. By standing together as a community, they arrange a dignified funeral as per their mother's wish.
