Strangers ran for parts and eventually towed us back to camp. Then refused to accept any gifts for their hard work. Truly exceptional people.
For all the hate the Wildcats have been getting I think this vid puts it in perspective the best. Sure looks very capable of some exceptional fun, just like all the other big dogs.

Carry a can of starting fluid and matches with you. You’ll never be stranded again after popping a tire off the rim. Oh. And if you can afford that beautiful X3 you can afford tools ;)
Love St. Anthony. Bummed it couldn’t go out of Choke, had a 2012 Cat that did 1/3 way up before bail so it’s improvement. Now I own a X3 stage 2 and go out of Choke at 43mph. Love Cat they just need a bit more HP as usual.
The footage looked great. Jump scenes make me miss the dunes badly. Minimum tool suggestions for an offroad kit. Craftsman 153 piece tool set, Item # 00939153000 Model # 39153. Excelling box that holds the tools that super secure. Has damn near any and every tool you'll need in a wellorganized kit. Viair 400P air compressor or bigger. ARB compressor would be even better.

For the most part the XX did all the jumps and woops just fine. It did not time itself very good on the woops at the base of choke cherry but all the others it did very well. The only adjusting we did to the suspension was adjusting the clickers on the shock, which are nice and very easy to do. Any further adjusting I would do with out a full long travel kit is load the back springs a little more.
Mike it’s all relatively the same. I find the YXZ motor noise loud and the X3 motor noise loud. The XX is no different but for me I did have to get used to listening to a CVT revving over 9000 RPM. The XX muffler sounds tinny, would make a muffler with some a more base or Performance tone to it. As for the paddles I feel it would climb out of choke with paddles and minor clutching.
HillBro Thanks. I think the exhaust is tinny too. I'm thinking a triple merge and then out to something like three FMF powercore 4's might work to deepen in. May even need a resonator box. Hopefully some company will work on that.
there crazy overbuilt! the things crazy durable and so easy to work on, they listened to there race guys thats for sure. very easy to work on, lots of interchangeable parts from left to right side, bed has a tire hold down right in it just need to get a t handle for a spare, even the belt cover is held on with clips so you dont need tools to get to your belt. its not like it ever kills belts anyways this thing runs belts at like 100 degrees all day even in the desert they will last for ever. any one who trash talks the XX has no idea what there looking at

I will keep my X3.They made a few changes that I like but overall I don't think it will content with the RZr Turbo S or X3 even when they add a turbo or supercharger on it.
Yeah right... go check out benchmark performance boosted XX on instagram..not only that these cars were designed for rough desert more so, they are heavier because of that. X3 or RZR turbo in bone stock condition will get left in the dust in the rough desert. In the sand they will definitely out perform because of the horsepower advantage.
Any updates? What happened with that exhaust mod I spied a bit back? I still haven't bought one but that time may be here soon. Just want to be sure it's a good choice.

Great video but for the life of me I can’t understand why people go that far out 10 miles with no tools or an air pump you know things are bound to happen as they did get some gear that way you don’t get stranded
It depends on the day and tires you run. The stock big horns are good sand tires. The XX will with big horns and if the clutch is set up right. The same with any 1000 set up right like YXZ, RZR, Maverick. It’s a struggle but all are capable of doing it.
No reason other than to see if it made the ride any louder or offered any more cooling. It did help with cooling but it didn’t really change the noise level. And no we have not had any belt issues. 400 miles on original belt.
ngward79 to make it easier to change out broken belts they will break if they do at least pick them up and take them out with you don't want to be a butt but I am from Utah and I get sick of seeing the broken belts left behind all over the little Sarah sand dunes how hard is it to pick them up?
POS lol, you idiot. Not every machine made is designed for sand dunes but just because it isn't doesn't mean it's a piece of shit. On tight trails here in Pa this machine shines. We don't need 25" of travel or turbos, in fact they are useless here but that doesn't mean they're a POS. Every machine has it's purpose you mindless twit!

Hey N8. Alba is already getting 22hp out of their exhaust and reflash. And they aren’t done with development. Check CZcams for Alba racing. The sound is killer!
Honestly don't know about the rods, but I'd guess they get the same rods as the yxz. AFIK yami just ships long blocks to cat's engine plant in St Cloud

We have tried a couple of things. Nothing real exstensive. Stiffer secondary spring helps a little with the machine we have. We will look into it more when we get a chance.

We feel it could have climb out of Choke with some paddles or big horns. But I do agree with the lack of power.

Did you ever dial in a deeper exhaust and get rid of the tinny rattle before going turbo?
We have only done the custom turbo. We haven’t been able to do just the exhaust yet.

Arctic cat designed a better intake manifold, better exhaust header, and uses different camshafts than the yxz
