    She loved Naruto but wasn’t in love with Naruto.

    Sakura said exactly that in the fake confession. When she said she loved Naruto because he is a hero and was at her side while Sasuke was away and became a criminal, Naruto himself said "he hates people who hate themselves".
    Naruto himself recognize he would be just a silver medal and Sakura never would truly loves him like she loves Sasuke.
    Naruto himself agreed that Sakura did not love him, and Sakura herself during the war confirmed Sasuke as the person she loves.

    Everything indicated that after Sakura's assassination attempts, Sakura would no longer see Sasuke as that Boy she liked. And she began to be 100% with Naruto, and Naruto had a more direct reciprocity, Sasuke arrived, and Sakura once again became a kind of fangirl at times, but at serious times when Naruto was injured, it was Sakura who was at his side and Sakura's statement before Sasuke's genjutsu only seems like a nail-biter to say that Sasuke simply hurts her. And out of nowhere, Sasuke redeems himself and wants to be with Sakura, and she accepts it as if nothing had happened, throwing away her entire character, she stops being herself, she stops being what she really is when she is with Naruto. And the Narrations of which are the trips and Sarada, make it clear how Kishimito does not like the couple, despite more interviews and assumptions, so many things already planned from the beginning of the work, although the development of the work itself demonstrates the opposite, added to The same thing happens with Naru Hina, where they cannot be seen as really a couple, outside of the disaster that is The Last with so many things that destroy Naruto as a character, and Sakura is one more nail in the coffin. That added to the fact that it looks like Naruto is still closer with Sakura and even with Ino, than with Hinata, where he is direct and doesn't care about the Hyuga. And make Naruto a love idiot, this being possibly one of the shounen protagonists that most clearly makes his romantic feelings clear, and interested in relationships. Please, it's not Goku (and even less the super Goku).

      Not really it didn't imply that she would be with Naruto. She didn't throw away her entire character or stopped being herself, nah she is what she really is. How does that prove that Kishimoto doesn't like the couple? No Naruto certainly isn't closer to Sakura and Ino then Hinata who he was friends with Hinata longer then either Sakura or Ino. And he wasn't that direct with Hinata and he does care about the huyga and their struggle. I mean he was always oblivious to Hinata's feelings for him though.

    I do think there has to be some truth to this. I'll call out a moment you didn't mention: when Minato asks Naruto if Sakura is his girlfriend and he says yes, she doesn't deny it, she just headbutts him to get him to shut up. Also, it's possible Naruto wasn't thinking that Sakura was lying about loving him, but that it was purely platonic and her love for him couldn't match up to her love for Sasuke. Instead, he knew Sakura was lying about forgetting about Sasuke/getting over him. This is a part-one moment, but I don't think Sakura would think entirely of his dream during the chunin exams if she didn't love him at least a bit. We don't ever see Sakura try to ask more about Sasuke's ambition and support him in it. Sakura also supported Naruto in the exams in a way she didn't Sasuke, I understand he didn't need help, but fangirl Sakura from before the academy would've continued cheering for Sasuke. Sakura thinks Sasuke's fight is hopeless, I understand you can have doubts, but I think if Sakura loved Sasuke like she thought she did she would've cheered for him anyway. Naruto cheered for Sasuke in the prelims before Sakura did, and yes, the cheering I'm mentioning is from the prelims. Sakura also doesn't cheer for his victory like she did when Naruto beat Neji, and even when Naruto beat Kiba if I remember correctly. Sakura is also a lot more open or analyzing in both of Naruto's matches. Sorry, now I'm going on a rant about how the signs started to form as early as the chunin exams I'm gonna stop here.

    Kishimoto stated in an interview about the confession that he depicted Sakura as honest and stubborn he never said anything about the confession being false. In the scene itself after Naruto tells her she is lying to herself she is genuinely hurt by Naruto's disbelief and gets angry at him which causes Naruto to backtrack from the accusation of her lying to herself and become unsure about her feelings.
    Later in the war arc when Minato asks Naruto if she is his girlfriend, Naruto's response suggests that Naruto might taken her confession to mean they are now basically a couple even if nothing is official yet, so why did it stop there and never went beyond, well that is basically Kishimoto turning the whole ship around and retconing everything to fit his editors wishes and have pairings that would help create drama for a next gen or so it is claimed by some fans.

    Sakura’s just got a bit of a temper, and she was angry that Naruto would constantly throw himself into danger because of his obsession with Sasuke. I know a lot of Naruto fans wanted Sakura to fall for Naruto/want to believe she had romantic feelings for him/want to believe that she regrets never getting with Naruto, but that’s simply not the case. She and Naruto have an incredible and close bond, Sakura supports him, cries at the thought of him being in danger, and cares very deeply for him, but Sakura never displays any romantic feelings for him or any desire to be with Naruto. She never loved him, wanted him, or regretted not being with him.

    you're correct kishi even planned it but either him or the wife didn't like it, yea I believe his wife didn't like it, Hinatas whole pain thing was cool but out of nowhere, her character arc revolved around naruto and nothing else wasted character, sakura actually chose to revive naruto instead of sasuke in the war, alot more stuff then you randomly have end of war arc sasukes betrayal and sakura crying..in the same arc she goes backwards, naruto and sakura would look good together, Hinata is just an obsessive weirdo, sasuke wanted to repopulate his clan , so why not start some type of new uchiha town with elders caring for the new babies and sasuke donates sperm there or something maybe? because in this timeline we ship Sakura a with naruto, but that doesn't mean we should ship him with Karin , truthfully he had no options

      no. kishimoto planned on sasusaku from before the anime even aired in japan, back in 2002. he even told the voice actors this at that time. Noriaki Sugiyama, Chie Nakamura and Junko all confirmed this in 2014. wrong.

    Why is it Sakura always trying to explain feelings to naruto? Isn't his whole thing being able to understand feelings. and on top of that isnt naruto the one whos been in love with her throught the whole series. and she tell naruto basically that he doesn't know the difference between loving someone and loving food but no a single person is that dumb. and if he didn't infact know the difference how would he have known he confession was a sort of "white lie" in the moment.

    Oh wow this is the first time I’m seeing that scene in Japanese. What Sakura says in English is definitely a lot stronger than what she says in Japanese due to the ways we express those ideas in both languages. In Japanese it comes off more like a crush confession, but in English it always felt like Sakura was giving a “I’m trying to spend my life with you…to the end” type of energy. Crazy.

    • @xave3829
      @xave3829 Před měsícem

      Wow WAIT! Furthermore, for people that can understand Japanese and watched it in Japanese dub, it seems like Sakura is just saying that to get Naruto to stop hunting Sasuke…much more superficial sounding which was her original plan as stated by her beforehand. I think that was lost in translation when doing the English dub. But for those who watched it in English, it gives the impression that deep down Sakura really loves Naruto and there is a lot more truth to what she’s saying. That’s why it’s more confusing to watch in English…it’s like her plan was just to say that to get him to come home but what she says in English comes off really strong…like those feelings HAVE to be real to some extent. At least that’s how I interpret it…native Japanese speakers feel free to correct me

      @Iron700man Před měsícem

      @@xave3829 Not a native Japanese speaker, but I know enough of it, to realize her confession in Japanese comes off just as strong if not stronger than the english dub due to 2 reasons.
      The first being her hugging him during the confession, which in Japan it is not common for people that are not family or lovers to do this, especially in public. Second reason is her words just before being cut off by Naruto accusing her to be lying to herself, she was about to use the phrase kokoro kara aishiteru/masu which is possibly the strongest way in Japanese to express you love someone.

    If Sakura truly loved Naruto, why go to him in that instance. Why not wait for him to return to the village?
    And yes, Sakura giving up on Sasuke was a lie in that moment. However, if she waited until he returned to the village. Naruto would have had a different answer, or at least have Sakura explain it in more detail, but he was on mission and didn’t have time for Sakura in that moment.
    It’s why this confession doesn’t feel genuine. Or at least, it wasn’t the right time for a confession.
