-In the Snapshot 23w04a minecraft now brought an armor trim system that allows you to customize your armor with other ores, and also a new item called netherite upgrade!
This video shows the features that were announced and added in version 1.20...

-Minecraft 1.20 update will officially arrive in 2023 for Java and Bedrock Edition (Windows 10, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Playstation (4 and 5), IOS and Android. But part of the features can already be tested now in betas and snapshots

They should really add a backpack you can wear on your chest plate armour slot. Idea: Will increase your amount of inventory slots.
They have the shulker box

they’re adding bundles, bundles and shulker boxes would give you many space + the ender chest
Imagine if it had a portable crafting table inside
The way I see this is more of like the elytras and chest plates
1.20 has lots of potential to be a large update here are my ideas:
1.excavation sites. structures that gives you access to archaeology by brushing of the excavative variants of terrain block.
2.tamable sniffer. sniffers can be tamed by feeding any seeds ex.the ancient seed.
3.more decorative blocks such as colored bricks with its stair slab and wall variants ceramic pots more painting varites etc.
4.ocean monument changes that focuses mostly in the interier by adding chest areas library rooms tables in the guardian meeting areas and a treasure room.
5.more uses for sniffer it can help you find fossils or excavation sites by feeding it with the ancient seeds.
6.ancient seed plants should include
Moonflower
Swiftberries
Creeping vines
Spikebush
7.structure rework speaking of the ocean monument any other structures added before 1.9 really needs a minor or major rework excluding the ones that already had a rework.
8. 2 new hostile mobs the sunken skeleton and the unused mob the illusiners sunken skeletons spawn in the ocean while illusiners spawn in raids there spawn rates depends on each difficulty.
9.update name the update should be called the justified and ancient update
Or the ancient revival updates.
10.uses for fletching tables it should be the new way to craft tipped and spectral arrows maybe along with some new arrow variants like the intangible one or something.
11. Bug fixes and optimization siriously mojang really needs to fix all of the bugs bedrock has and improve the performance in java.
Btw these are all of my ideas i can think of let me know if you have any other suggestions for 1.20 minecraft

I find it really cool you can pretend the wild trim is emerald with netherite or any ingot. Thank you Mojang for at least giving us some emerald trims
It is in fact emerald. The trim only gives the desing, you need to choose a ore for the color
To be honest, I think Minecraft copied Philza's idea (custom armor)
I never knew chain armor could be decorated as well.
The spire looks best by far in my opinion, there's just something about black/dark grey and purple combos that's so appealing to me.
Netherite Armor with a diamond Ward trim looks amazing
I love how they made armour crafting like in The Witcher 3
One thing I forgot to mention is that armor templates can be crafted...

I like that this is turning into an ancient times sort of update, focusing on mythological sort of creatures and new treasure and such
I hope the netherite upgrade thing isn't hard to get. Me and my friends are starting a new world when 1.20 comes out

@@Lord-Voldemort1. yes. but its worth knowing that new structures will not generate in chunks that were loaded before the update. so if a new structure is added, you will have to explore new chunks for the structure to be generated

They really should add toughness to templates and extra knockback to netherite armor like (16%

Adventure and culture update
its function is only for decorating armor but why should it be hard to find and to duplicate templates you have to use a lot of diamonds which of course will make us wasteful of diamonds, I think it would be better if the duplicate template material, namely diamonds, was replaced with phantom membrane because until now phantom The membrane has only 1 function, namely repairing the elytra.
the phantom is only in the game because people chose it so they don’t care about adding features for it. it will most likely stay as diamonds. and it’s not too expensive. you can buy armour and tools from villagers which means it makes players want to explore villager mechanics and also it’s supposed to be expensive, the whole point of the update is to make netherite harder to get
