    I work at Starbucks we don't use torani syrup... Starbucks has there own syrup line ... you can actually purchase some of the syrups (excluding seasonal syrups) it saves a lot of coin 🙂 love this recipe though

    This seems easy enough to try at home. And it'll for sure save my wallet. I've got a couple questions:
    Once cooled and put in a mason jar how long does the syrup last?
    How do I store it (refrigerate or cupboard)?
    How many oz does a 1:1 ratio make so I know what size mason jar to use?
    If I want to add vanilla extract, when would I incorporate that?
    This next question is not related to this recipe but do you know how to make the Starbucks toffeenut syrup from home too?

    I tried doing this i used dark brown sugar and it didn’t taste the same as Starbucks. Did you use light brown sugar?

    • @TheHangryWoman
      @TheHangryWoman  Před 2 lety

      I used light brown sugar. Dark brown sugar has more molasses in it.
      But the ratio for all syrups is 1 cup of water to 1 cup of sweetener.

  • @kissmesoftly2

    • @TheHangryWoman
      @TheHangryWoman  Před 2 lety +4

      It’s similar! It does end up crystallizing once it cools (I’ve tried with stevia, allulose and eyrithriol); but if you hear it back up in a pan, it will dissolve right away!

But i can handle this for sure. See ya in the next one

    So, are we saying brown sugar is ok for diabetics? Even in moderation? I’d love that. I’m doing keto, so it’s still probably not allowed for me.

    • @TheHangryWoman
      @TheHangryWoman  Před 3 lety +6

      Keto for sure is strictly no sugar, but brown sugar is ok in moderation otherwise. 1 teaspoon is 4.5g of carbs. I add a teaspoon to my morning coffee, which does spike me about 5 mg/dL, but I know I'm sacrificing a bit for it!

    • @TheHangryWoman
      @TheHangryWoman  Před 2 lety +2

      You can store out of the fridge for 1 week, and in the fridge for two weeks. It may crystallize once you chill it, so just reheat before using to get it incorporated again.
