The 'Tell Me the Old, Old Story' hymn, brings back lovely memories, My mother use to go to a small church, for an afternoon Tuesday service, the service was given by my nan's cousin's auntie, always called her 'Auntie Cissy Sherman'. My infant school was 5 mins away from the church, i use to creep into the church and sit with my mother, 'Auntie Cissy' always saved 'Old, Old Story', until i was there. I had a lovely 'Bible Story' book, inside was written, 'with love from the womans hour'.
One of the best old songs I remember now is this great song "TELL ME THE OLD OLD STORY". This old old story,is actually still young. It creates youthfulness in our hearts and souls. Wonderful song to remember till death. M.L.Francis.
Amen just please don't change the lyrics- Verse 3 is grave not grace And comforter not comfort And verse 4 makes thee whole not "you" I am sure A. CATHERINE Hankey and William H. Doane would appreciate it-LOL!
