About The Killers:
The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more.Their first album, Hot Fuss, was released in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The album contained the singles “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” in addition to the anthemic song “All These Things That I’ve Done,” which has since been referenced by the likes of U2 and Coldplay. The band toured for two years straight behind Hot Fuss, playing more than four-hundred shows, and eventually returned to Vegas to begin to work on the follow-up album with legendary producers Alan Moulder and Flood. The result, a love letter of sorts to their hometown entitled Sam’s Town, was released in 2006 and spent forty-two weeks on the Billboard Top 200.A b-sides collection entitled Sawdust was released in 2007, followed by their third studio album, Day & Age, which was released to widespread critical praise in 2008, anchored by massive single “Human.”The Killers released Battle Bornin September 2012, which saw them expanding their world tour into countries they’ve never visited before, and finally were honored to perform at the world-renowned Wembley Arena, one of the most monumental and significant shows of their career. After a decade of making music, in November 2013, The Killers released a “Best Of” collection, Direct Hits, which featured two incredible new songs alongside classics from the band’s revered catalogue. The band, who have sold over twenty-five million albums worldwide, and headlined all of the world’s top festivals (Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury), released their newest studio album, Wonderful Wonderful, in September 2017, where it landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart the week of its release, as well a stopping the charts in the U.K. and Australia. The album is the band’s fifth consecutive number one in the U.K., and Brandon Flowers’ seventh U.K. number one overall.

#TheKillers #TheRisingTide - Hudba
Criminally underrated song
yessir
"we're never gonna know
how hard you cried,
when you petitioned and your
access was denied."
I love this line and how he sings it. So much emotion.
"The Rising Tide"
The streets of persuasion
Are plated with gold
Your heart's in the right place,
But you travel down the wrong road
Like so many before you
The gates open wide
Here come the rising tide (rising tide) Let's go out tonight
There's a mystery underneath the neon light
Before life and dreams collide
Cause the truth's gonna come and cut me open wide
And you can't escape the rising of the tide Keep up your appearance; you're joining the choir
With everybody singing out "Glory, Hallelujah" (Hallelujah)
The time came for your solo
But there was nowhere to hide
Here come the rising tide (rising tide) And the company you keep,
Well they plan your crucifixion as we speak
So, baby 'til life and the dream collide
There's gonna be a mystery underneath those neon lights
If you can't decipher just who's on your side
You will not escape the rising of the tide Can you tell me brother? Was I deceived, or in denial?
I was there, in the back of the room, when you testified With your pitchfork tongue, you licked your lips and lied
We're never gonna know how hard you cried
When you petitioned and your access was denied
'Til the venom in your veins is satisfied
'Til you suffocate and swallow down the pride Well you can't escape
(You can't escape)
Yeah, you can't escape
(You can't escape)
No, you can't escape the rising of the tide
grammy winning lyrics should be
I didn't really appreciated the album back when it came out, but listening to this song now and it is awesome.
This song is so underrated. I can't believe this song didn't get to their direct hits album. I have many favorite songs by the killers and the rising tide is for sure in my top 3.
Battle Born is their best album and it's not even a competition. I don't understand why people are so down on it. I guess it's because not everyone has lived in Las Vegas. Anyone who has understands how special this album is.
@@WhoCanKnowIt My favorite album of theirs and it’s not close. So cinematic.
Who's listening in 2022? I'll See the Killers in Denver August 31st. =P
"And the company you keep, well they plan your crucifixion as we speak."
Perfect line, perfect song!
Such an underrated song. The Killers are incredible!
I play it often! "...With your pitchfork tongue, you licked your lips and lied..."
I think this is my favorite song off Battle Born because there's a note Brandon hits that just gives me chills. I love it so much. It's the note when he goes up on "Company" and "Dreams" at 2:12 and 2:26
In a technical and artistic sense, this song is one of the best ever created!
It's Killers meets Queen and it's just perfect
This song should have came out as a single. It is amazing!
Was this even a single? I cannot believe such an epic track just drowned away in nothingness.
Morten Bjøntegård I guess you could say it got swept away by the Rising Tide
Excellent voice, synths, guitar and production. In my opinion, one of the best songs of "Battle Born" album
Idk how some ppl can hate on this album, its amazing!
"Let's go OUTTTT TONIGHT! There's a mystery underneath the neon light! Before life and the DREEEAAAM collide... Never gonna know how HAAAARD you cried!" Dat solo! This song gets me so pumped! I scream along to it in my car! Less than 200k views?! I AM PERSONALLY OFFENDED!
***** Oh god, same here :D It's an incredible song!
saaaaaame
and companyyyy you KEEP. well they plan your crucifixion as we speak
Anika L Ahmed Yesss!
@@anikalahmed my fave part of the song!
I always knew this song's about the faith crisis sometimes everybody has in religion, but yesterday I heard from 3.27 and realised it maybe was telling about Enrique VIII denied request from the Pope about his marriage with Catalina de Aragon. In revenge, he broke up with tradicional Christianism and founded the Anglicanism. Maybe or maybe not, that's what this song inspires me.
I love the killers so much
The guitar playing on this is just plain fantastic greatness.
2:11 to 2:37 absolutely love this part, the lyrics are just perfection :)
Bloody hell, that guitar. Replay button please!

I instantly have to shout so loud that part!!!
How in the holly fuck is this not one of their absolute best. I'm getting juice newton, elvis, Johnny cash, and queen all in a combo
one word...love!
This song is about God right?
The rising the tide is the coming of God to erradicate all the evil in the world.
I mean the lyrics is there:
"We Will never know how hard you cry , when your petition and your acces was denied" Clearly talking about someone Who wasnt allowed to Enter heaven and cried in hell , a really horrible place. "We" refers to all the people Who were allowed to Enter heaven and Will no longer know no pain , so they "Will never know how hard you cried".
Theres a LOT of things like this all over the lyrics this is just one that came to my mind after listening to it.
When he says "Time came for your solo , but there was nowhere to hide" Refering to the final judge , where that guy Clearly is, thats his "solo" and he cant hide all of his sins. I love how Brandon finds a way to talk about usual and normal life things and also add that diferent message which is not too difficult to find , you just have to listen.
Wrong, this talks about our society and how you can't run away from the brain washing there is in the world until you find yourself and start giving more importance to your dreams rather than other people. And one thing you absolutely sure about, that is death will come to you as it is to everyone else. So you better do what you love before it's too late
I can't wait to see them in new york city :D
Am I the only one here that came to memorise the lyrics so I don't get frustrated with myself in the future?
love it
I love it!!!!
Powerfull
Best thing on album ! =)
Tgis song reminds me so many good things.. :)
I feel like an animation music video would go good with this song
Ü fine!!
The Killers!
You know there are (none that i can name but) some singers from the 80's that are pretty simular.
Roll on London in 2 weeks! :D
My favorite part
Who will be at the May1st show!?
woot woot

Anyone else reminded of Rush? Maybe Grace Under Pressure era. I love it!
❤️
3:18
Gabby DeLorean OW OW!
Can I just say how well would this song work for Marvel's Agents of SHIElD, especially EP4!?
Description says music video... Sure. Awesome song, but my favorite is definitely Deadlines and commitments
Que chida cancion xDDD
❤😊
parts of this totally remind me of deadbeat club by b52's
Starts off so strong and then kind of gets lost and then finds its stride again. Totally re-listenable, but i think I would dig it even more if the "great" songs were spaced out a little more more.
Which are the great songs to you? For me this was a weird album because half of the songs I found to be completely amazing while the rest didn't really touch me in any meaningful way The ones I liked were flesh and bone, Runaways, the way it was, the Rising Tide and from here on out.
Only 700000 views? What disease killed humanity? Did I miss something?
Listen to early, early U2 . SO similar.
the album isnt that bad it just lost what it was. it was just a mix of everything
This song is Blade Runner 2049 spoiler, The time came for your Solo :-)
the starting music reminds me of bejeweled.
Idk if anything will ever match spaceman and when you were young or Mr brightside
Anybody notice a subtle hint of "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins?
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Wait this isn't the BOCW MP lobby rheme
