Review and thoughts on a 2.5 Chinese mini excavator

- I review and offer my thoughts on my Chinese import mini excavator. This excavator has a Kubota D1105 diesel engine, swivel boom, expanding tracks, and hydraulic thumb. Very similar to a Kymron and a Groundhog.
If you are using issues with track wide and narrow, you are only supposed to move them when it's lifted off the tracks. Blade raising on one side and boom on the other then move track width
Yeah I’m aware, it is binding even while lifted. I’m going to try and grease the shafts really well and see if that solves the issue.
@@adVANturers Did greasing the shafts cure the problem ?
Good job, dad, love the video. Nothing attracts kids like mounds of dirt. What a wonderful place to be raised. Is there any chance you can give a link to where you bought that 2 1/2 ton. I just bought a 2 ton off of eBay. The terror eight with a d722 Kubota 17 horsepower engine. I already want your machine. Looking forward to mine too. It should be here in 5 to 6 weeks. Again, thank you so much for the video.
Would love to know the vendor, and how much you paid for each items. If you’d be so kind. Thank you.
I ordered from Shandong Nuoman Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd.
Two Mini 2.5 ton excavators USD 27135, including:
+ 2 speed 2.5 ton excavator 11400X2=22800
+ 2 units of 25 cm narrow bucket 140X2=280
+16” bucket for free(machine comes with)
+ 2 units of 20” bucket 185X2=370
+ 24” bucket 200
+ jackhammer 690
+ 2 units of ripper 150X2=300
+ 2 units of lay flat hydraulic thumb 380X2=760
+ 80cm tilting grading bucket 495
This was the cost, plus freight and import tax and fees hope this helps! Enjoy your 2 ton, I hope it works out great for you!
@@adVANturersThe swing boom being jerky is normal. Big cylinder short distance, new valves ect. It'll wear in some and with use it'll feel smoother. Enjoy!
nice excavator
Thanks! It’s been fun to have!
I’m looking at units too and came across this one. Did you buy it straight from manufacturer in China? Ship to port? Ship to home? Would love to get some detailed from you.
I did direct ship to home and had the container delivered to my house and offloaded with a crane. I ordered 4 mini excavators, a mini skid steer and a 2 ton dumper and attachments though so I had filled up a 20 foot container. I bought the container that way I could just have it shipped directly to my property. I’ll do a video on all of it soon!
Well lol I just want one haha one place wanted me to pickup at the port, but I’ve seen horror stories and the surprises they encounter and fees. Was looking at a 20 but I’m thinking of going bigger to the 25. Thanks for the reply!!
I bought 3.5 t
Will do video. These Chinese machines seem to ecaggerate their weight. The boom l is small.
My engine is d1703.
Yeah they are a little exaggerated, this machine is around 4,500 pounds from what they told me. It’s doing what I need it to though. I had to order up a size to get the weight I wanted though.
Who did you buy it through, alibaba, or a local company that imports it for you?
I bought it direct from alibaba. It was a bit of a process but I enjoyed customizing and upgrading it as much as possible. I ordered from Shangdong Nuoman Engineering
First thing I'll say as an operator and a Father, tell all the kids to stay away from the machine any time the engine is running. And IF they need your attention ALWAYS stand away out in front where you can see them.
I've seen grown men with years around escavators walk right into a swinging bucket.
Second. Do not lift on your drive motors. They are no designed to support that weight. Lift it and if possible push with blade against the load.
Thanks for the advice!

I was going to say the swing boom jerking is normal. Large cylinder short distance. It will break in and smooth out as you get use to it. Always saftey first. Enjoy!
Don't assume he values his children.
What does a machine like this cost?
If you in USA there is 25 percent duty
This one was right around 12k before import tax and fees and shipping.
I have pretty much the same machine + cabine. Actually its 2070kg total, but promoted under name kv25 in your case dd25. Allot of things are made with logic, it will never need servicing or maintenance. Its my first chinese, but yes you have to take some compromises for that amount of money. Defenetly its not close with big names.
For now on mine:
- grase nipples are all useless if you want to lubricate correctly, change them with new (do not lubricate track expansions guides - it wil bring dirt inside)
- hyd oil has to be filled to max if you dont want to get air to sistem...but when you fill it to max it will spill all over tank and excavator WHAT TO DO HERE???
- hyd oil tank has no drain plug :( i had to make it)
- tolerance with swing motor and cab sprocket (for rotating cabine) it too big. If you try new kubota/takeuchi you will see the difference. This is trubeling whole machine when rotating and stopping fast. Swing motor (do you have one or two??) has cushion valve instaled, but its set badly - see my video
- one track is faster than other from day 1. When traveling in 2.gear its really disturbing - HAVENT SOLVED THIS YET!
- on mine, main relief valve was set to aprox 155-160bar with medium RPM, witch is too low. I raised it to 180-185bar. Now its different machine
- front blade is TOOO low when lifted to max. Problems when loading/unloading, when im trying to push pile od dirt.... HAVE TO SOLVE THIS
- hydraulic thumb is too short if you install quick hitch. Had to make new
- front boom could have been alitlebit bigger - longer for 2t
Note! Maximum working preasure should be measured when oil/machine is warm and you set RPM to mid-max! When low RPM it wont produce 180bar but 160 in my case...
Thanks for the info! How did you adjust the relief valve pressure?
@@adVANturers I will make a video about it...i would recomend you first measure preassure in your sistem....

How can you tell if there is a cushion valve already installed? I bought a cushion valve kit for my hightop 1.8 machine after hearing about people breaking swing motors and snapping gears.
Im not very familiar with hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
