  • Skadis is great, just wish it came in more sizes. But why wish when you can cut your own on a laser?
    Thankyou to Ortur for sponsoring me with the laser used in this video. If you are interested in picking one up for yourself you can do so using the following link (affiliate):

    My name is Chris, I am a 3D printing hobbyist from australia. I dont really specialise in anything specific, but 3D printed tools and tabletop accessories are some things youll probably seen quiet often. I do all my 3d printing on a Ender 3, which I highly recommend as a budget printer. Currently I only run 1 printer but I hope to expand that in the future. Recently acquired a photon 0 to do resin printing with. I like to share all my 3D printing ideas for free although I do plan to sell stuff in the future. Most of my projects will be mostly 3D printed with a few non printed components included, these can often be found on ebay. I actually use the cheapest filament I can get for all my projects, again I hope to change this in the future.

    No idea how CZcams put this in my recommended watch list but I'm glad it did. Always love seeing a good Aussie youtube channel, makes it feel a bit closer to home.
    I like your implementation and agree the pre-set sizes aren't amazing, I helped my mates install a set of the Ikea pegboards and it inspired me to 3D print the popular Honeycomb Storage wall, damn do I enjoy having an organised wall now.
    Subscribed and going through your historical videos now.

    Remember, don't look into the laser with your remaining eye!

    this video is great because the project did not turn out perfectly, like the way you might have thought it would. yet, you still chose to stick with it and let it ride. It's very genuine, nice work friend.

    Yes. Laser is awesome with 3D. I always designed my prints to mate with last cut parts. I'm saving filament where i don't need to print.

      Very true, some things just dont need to be printed.

    I find an easy way to "hang" power boards is with the hot glue gun. they hang on very well, even with power bricks dangling.
    Also removable with some force

    Very cool video though few things scare me more than uncovered lasers at home.

      Yeah I should have talked about that a little more than I did. I do have one I use normally but it doesnt make for the best cinema.

    Does the material you used (being thinner than the skadis and not having the roundover) affects it's functionality?

    Cheeky V mount battery charger there, what camera setup are you using at the moment?

    I hate lathe tools behind lathes the temptation is always to lean over, but the size of your lathe the risk of death is low

      @Borgedesigns  Před rokem +1

      But never 0. The board at least is at the tail end of the lathe and ive never turned something that long but still good to be weary.

    Hi ! In how many passes did it make a cut? What speeds and what power settings were used?

    🕯💡🕯CAN WE DISCUSS THE SCREW GOING THROUGH THE POWER BOARD, PLEASE?💡🕯💡

      @Borgedesigns  Před rokem +2

      it looks bad Ik aha, it comes with holes through already. Ideally should use a screwdriver not an impact tho.
