    Love this!!! I've been looking into this one. Would LOVE to see more videos on skin-friendly foundations! There is no point in putting so much work into our skincare if we are putting on foundations that wreck our skin. Thank you!!

    I use to like. It is hard to find a color and I'm light medium. But then my skin changed and it wasn't mixing well with my moisturizer and looked blotchy and pilled. And I tried a lot to make it work. But it has a few yrs so I would be curious to try it again after using tretinoin this past 2 yrs.

    • @ToastyandButtery
      @ToastyandButtery Před 3 lety

      If your skin is pilling and still dry after applying makeup to freshly moisturized skin, your skin barrier is most likely dehydrated. This can happen due to lots of exfoliation. Tretinoin is really good at doing this.

    Hi. I am the opposite of you, 65 with dry skin and pore issues. My generation didn’t take care of our skin. My skin is pretty good considering my age and just started using skin care. I’m very late for the dance! I am your coloring and tried bamboo and ginger. Purchased ginger. I love the feel, have never worn foundation till recently. I want light coverage, wondering if a foundation brush would work better than my fingertip application. I don’t even own a foundation blush, lol. I just want a bit more pore concealer. With dry mature skin should I use a primer with this product. I have a silicone primer that I forget about in my make up collection. I hope this comment makes you LOL. • @AbbeyYung
      @AbbeyYung  Před 3 lety +2

      So glad you enjoyed it! Broad spectrum means it has a filter that offers UVA + UVB protection & understanding doesn’t indicate a measure of UVA protection!

    • @jennifersaylors3952
      @jennifersaylors3952 Před 3 lety +1

      @@AbbeyYung Thanks for explaining Abbey! This prompted me to educate myself a little more about this subject because I wasn't clear about these differences. In case anyone else is curious... It appears that the term broad spectrum can be used if the product does protect against UVA and UVB but is not specific to the difference between UVA1 and UVA2. This product contains titanium dioxide which only protects against UVB and UVA1, not UVA2. This is an important distinction because I would imagine some people, like myself, may see that term 'broad spectrum' and feel that they are appropriately protected. I know many content creators, Abbey included, work tirelessly to educate us about sunscreen and its importance, but it's still possible for the average consumer to forget these important details occasionally!

      Should not depend on this or any foundation to be your only sunscreen. Apply a layer of just sunscreen before foundation. Your layer of sunscreen can act as your primer as well. If you are having issues with application, it may mean that you are layering silicone and non-silicone products on top of each other. Give the last product a chance to dry down (minute or two) before applying the Rescue. And allow the Rescue about 5 minutes to dry before applying anything over it.
