I think Tomo is the best guitar teacher here in YT in my opinion.🙏❤️

Yes. Other people may have other opinions but their opinions are wrong.
Merci
@@chuckyinges Oh cmon. That's just stupid. Their opinions are wrong?
@@MarkEWallace I was just being facetious 😝

Great video! I have two daughters that are roughly the same age as your daughter and music is extremely important to us and has helped shape my relationships with my daughters. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for sharing! So awesome! Thank you!
Sammi's got good taste, I love the old R and B groups and always gravitated towards them. One band I'd suggest is The Meters - real funky. Nice chat!
Thank you! So happy to hear that! Yes!
I really enjoyed this!! Thank You!!
Thank you!
You guys are awesome as always, great video Tomo!
Thank you!
This is wonderful! What you and your daughter share is beautiful...
Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed this conversation. Much gratitude and respect!
Glad to hear that! Thank you so much!
This is so wholesome. I can even hear the kitty purring in the background.
Thank you! Yes!
I very much appreciated the improv analogy as a beginner coming from another instrument. I think I finally understand now. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Tomo and Sammi you have to do more of these videos! I love this!!!
So happy to hear that! Thank you!
Really fun video! I always learn something.

My name is not Thursday or Friday!
Toma & Sammi, thank you for sharing an intimate part of your lives with the world.
You’re very welcome! Thank you!
Once one has the vocabulary, finding what one needs to expess oneself better with fluidity, emotion, phrasing etc...same with the vocabulary of notes.😉👍
Always learning is living well.❤
😎👍❤🖖
Thank you so much!
Loved this video!
Thank you so much!
Great video
I’m a 62 yr old father
Life time student from one father to another ,good Job my friend.
Thanks so much!
She’s got great taste in music. I’m not surprised. Thanks for this. It was nice, and got me to pick up my guitar. Thank you! ✌🙂
Thank you so much!
My daughter is a junior in HS and loves music like me, but her taste is quite a bit different than mine. I'm more jazz/R&B/funk and she's more pop/musicals. She can also sing very well whereas my sax is my voice. I loved hearing how you two influenced each other in music!
Thank you for sharing! Thank you!
Thank you Mr.Fujita.
Your are happy father, good influence for your family old great music that you like.
Please keep your good music & family life!. 👏👍😄😎
Thank you so much!
Tomo, I'm about your age and started taking classical guitar lessons about three years ago. I was a self taught player for about 30 years and while I always wanted to learn the guitar in a deeper way, it just wasn't the right time with all other competing life activities. I love you hear and learn from your wisdom, and Sammi (with a youthful perspective and insightful questions) is a great connection between your knowledge and someone who is trying to absorb it (like me). You asked for questions so I'll throw one out there that may be hard to answer. I can play 20%-30% better when I'm by myself and relaxed. As soon as I play for people or in a lesson, the slight increase in tension makes both left and right hands lose their precision and delicacy. When I'm at my best, I am focused but at the same time not thinking. I can't seem to capture that when I feel an expectation from an audience (I start to think too much). Sorry, this might not be the easiest question to answer. I'd love to hear any any thoughts you both may have. Thank you and thanks for your CZcams channel!
Thank you for sharing! Awesome job! Thank you so much!
That's a lot of my students would say! Don't too relaxed and play your instrument... having a good amount of pure pressure! So imagine when you practice your performance (not practice techniques) think someone is watching or do Instagram LIVE! So increase tension when you are performing any time! Hope this will help you!
I just wrote a lot of things for you! It gone!
Thanks so much! I got from LA trip!
Thank you Tomo!
On the subject of improv: I watched an interview with BB King, maybe the best improv picker of all-time. He said that he prayed to Christ while he played. He claimed that was the "secret" to his improv.
Thank you for sharing! I love BB King!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Me too.
I'd like to hear both of your insights on "What Makes a Great Teacher" or maybe "What makes a good listener", looking forward to this series
Thank you so much!
you have a beautiful daughter with incredible tastes -- you are always a class act sir
Thank you! I am so grateful!
So cool
Thank you!
That was quite plesant..... 🎼🌹❤🎶🎶
Thank you!!
Love the repore you have with your daughter...very sweet. Because of you dear Tomo, I have an Orangewood Oliver Mahogany Live...and today I received from Germany a Keith Richards tribute Telecaster.... I so appreciate your knowledge. You're such a great player. I would love to study with you.
🙂
Thank you so much! Awesome! Please enjoy today!
I love that Tom Misch / Yussef Dayes LP, What Kinda Music, with Rocco Palladino on bass-masterpiece!
Great to hear that! YES!
Awesome ❤️
Thank you!
She has a better playlist of music than me awesome !
She got it! Thank you!
You asked for suggestions: 1.this presentation was excellent! personable and insightful on generational perceptions. 2. with Daughter present, talk some more on John Mayer , what and how you taught him, with a few (guitar focused) specifics. Thanks again!!😊
Thank you so much!
I pity the guys who might wanna try to impress Sammi with their guitar skills.
No need to impress people! Each person is so special with own unique way!
Sammi is the best!!!
Yes! She is!
Niiiiiice to see you two interact❤. Just in case Sammi hasn't come across them (probably has), 1st and last cut from the album "If this bass could only talk" by Stanley Clarke. "Slap and tap" by Stanley and Gregory Hines.
Thank you so much! Thanks for sharing!
Great Dad, awesome daughter👌
Thank you!
When I was a teenager my guitar teacher was a Berklee graduate and was one of those hard asses too. haha He was confrontational and challenged me when my theory or playing wasn't up to his standards and what he expected from me. It hurt my feelings and got me mad, but it was/is a wonderful motivator. All of us need a good kick in the butt once in awhile.
Thank you for sharing! Hardass is so straight forward! I take all positive ways no matter what!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Positive re-enforcement 😊
Sammi has good taste. You look like a great dad Tomo!
Yes she does! Thank you!
Love it - keep this series going! You need to do one with Beth...also you should do one with me about being a hard-ass teacher. ALSO I'm calling you out on going different routes and trying different things, how many time did you walk past Bukowski's??
Very happy to hear that. I would love to do with you too! I must have many "harass" moments! Intentionally I used to walk different routes around Berklee. This made me to think something else about "Fate" "Luck" You need to prepare a little! Nothing is natural.
@@TomoFujitaMusic any time sir, you know how much I love asking questions...
@@mikebaldino333 Great! Very soon!
Tomo a hardass? No way..please do continue these Friday chats..
Yes I was! Thank you!
how are the guitar lessons going? Was looking forward to seeing more of them
Very good! Thank you!
I an canadian and found an incredible band which i would imagine you already know of but for me they are incredible. They are called CASIOPEA! Have you heard of them! They are from JAPAN.
Thank you for sharing! Yes!
that first song you plucked out on your guitar sounded a lot like Cade Voce by Sabrina Malheiros. Beautiful Bossa.
Thank you!
This is awesome! Great tunes (especially Green Onions!), great talk, and anyone who likes cats is obviously good people. You two are at the nexus of wholesome and just cool. With your knowledge of music, I have to mention Ren to you. There's so much in his music that will utterly blow your mind, and that's before taking lyrics into account. With the profound amount of knowledge and good taste between you both, I think you'll really dig him.
Thank you so much! This was truly fun making!
Great interview!!! Being from Japan, how much influence did that have on your music and Sammi?
Thank you so much!
I can hear Dexter's purring!
Awesome!!
Hey Now! So impressed with Sammy’s music selection! I was expecting Hits 1 ….Glad it wasn’t
Yes! I agree! I love her playlist! So awesome!
With the greatest respect tomo sammi is like you and also truly a Beutifull lady love you both and show 🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉please dont be offended sammi
Thank you so much!
I also can't really have music on in the background while doing other things. Podcasts or talk radio programs seem to work instead.
Thank you for sharing! Thank you!
Episodes with Sammi are good! I think she brings out your best side, more deeper story & analogy brings a great conversation.
Would love to see a video where you make a song together, many elements of a song teaching slowly rhythm element, triads, connecting triads, suspended, extended & you Tomo building more complex chords as the song goes.. While giving context to chord & melody arrangement. Does Sammi sing?
Anyways, just an idea. Thank you as always, greatest teacher always learning!
So great to hear that! Thank you so much! You're very welcome!
The picture of Paul in the Beatles is browsing at the poster next to it.
Yes!
Blackbird was an idea derived from their friend Donavan playing flamenco on guitar. Amazing!!!
Your 27 sammi wow
We had a great family dinner last night!
Tomo can you adopt me ? I need a healthy father figure in my life 😂😅😢
Thank you!
Hello Tomo. You Can take "yu ping feng san" in traditional chinese medicine for your allergi. Thanks so much. To France 🙏👍
Green Onions Yeah!🎸
That was a good surprise!
Don’t want to sound corny but I have always been afraid of having a daughter with my girlfriend. A son would be much more familiar but if my daughter ever turned out this cool and down with what I like, having a friend in my daughter like this would be amazing
Thanks for sharing. No choice, lovely surprise and so much joy & love. I am so fortunate to have my own (our) daughter. She is amazing!
Dexter made me think there was something wrong with my speakers.
Ha ha!
Have either of you watched Bocchi the Rock? Bocchi is awesome on her own, but could use some guitar wisdom from time to time.
Thank you for sharing!
That 2nd song....i forgot the title. Anyone knows?
Green Onions!
