  • Coscharis Group/ Dr. Cosmas Maduka a self-made and successful Nigeria businessman with a credible global reputation and affiliation undertook a facility for the finance of Premium Motor Spirit on behalf of Capital Oil Ltd/Ifeanyi Uba after so much persuasion and plea for assistance by the later to enable him expand his business scope.
The relationship started off smoothly in May 2011 on six tranches until October 2011 when Capital Oil/Ifeanyi Uba reneged on his obligation by failing to comply to the dynamics of the business transaction on the 7th to 11th tranche.
Thereby leading to an unserviced debt portfolio of over N21billion in Coscharis' name as at date in view of Capital Oil/Ifeanyi Uba's non-settlement of the disbursed funds and the unknown status of the financed cargo.
Details are as captured in the video upload...
A VIDEO ON THE ONGOING CONTROVERSY BETWEEN COSMOS MADUKA & IFEANYI UBA. Recorded on AIT.

Clarification on the issue - because I was involved.
First Ifeanyi Uba did not defraud Maduka. On the contrary Maduka had a grand design to take over capital oil which plot failed by a little slip in the plan.
Maduka was a director in Access bank. He saw capital oils facilities which he described as a money making machine and wanted to have a chunk of it. He invited Una to apply for facility from Access bank where he was the credit committee chairman. The request of capital oil was turned down. He now got the facility for himself and for use of capital oil on the agreement that he will be taking 40% of the profit. The facility was secured with assets of capital oil fully secured. In the first few months Maduka received N4b from the business. He was so excited that he told Uba that how many cars and pure water will give him such profit. At maturity, there was a default in liquidation of the loan due to an investment made by capital oil in acquiring a vessel that could generate $5m a trip. Capital was then expecting payment of about #17b from government. That caused their inability to meet the obligation. In the meantime Maduka got the bank to renew the facility for 8years and unknown to Uba Maduka and access bank officials designed a grand plan to take over capital oil facilities so that they could go into the business themselves. They engaged a media consultant to scandalize and paint Uba as a common criminal, hence the media blitz. The next step they engaged a UK based attorney to obtain a world wide order against Capital oil and Ubas assets. For the media they paid fees of N15million. For the UK suit they deposited £2m. They now uses the police at SFU to arrest Uba and his entire management staff and surreptitiously were getting the company records in the pretense that they were investigating subsidy scam. The petition to SFU was signed by one Pattison Boligha a staff of Access on behalf of the presidential task force on subsidy claims which had since wound up. On the day of all parties meetings, Maduka appeared and it was there that it was disclosed that Uba was actually being detained on allegations against him by Maduka and not any subsidy claims. When this information was disclosed Uba started weeping, that how could his brother be the one doing this to him and there and then demanded that Maduka should sign the that the figure he claimed was the sum owed and he will pay him the money without failing. Maduka did not do that rather he was telling the meeting that interest will keep accruing. In the process it became obvious that the police were culpable. And at this stage whilst ubah was still in detention access bank had gotten order against his assets worldwide and we're taking over same until Amcon stepped in and took over the tank farm which was the main target. That's what foiled the bid.
Maduka was not self made he made it through the sweat of others.if you get his history he made it by crooked means. His biological father was a known criminal. So in all this Uba was actually the victim of the fraud. A director is prohibited fro benefitting from a loan to a customer. Eventually the matter was resolved and maduka paid N4B whilst Uba paid N16b to Access bank to liquidate the indebtedness. So how could Maduka claim fraud against him. When it was a bank loan which both have repaid.

This is what happens when you allow asinine tribal sentiments becloud your rational sense of judgment. The simple fact that Ifeanyi Ubah stated that his MAIN problem why banks are refusing to extend a loan facility to him or deal with him was because he was fighting against a cabal of Yoruba businessmen like Otedola in the oil and gas industry swayed Dr. Cosmos Maduka into helping a reject, that was; rightfully ostracized by banks and other financial industries. The minute you hear from 3 different persons or corporations about the questionable character and unreliableness of a person, you should either NOT deal with the person to if you have started, STOP dealing with the person. As a Christian you should know this, 2 Corinthians 13:1 New King James Version (NKJV) “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.”
