Yeah and it's crazy I convinced them to be in this video together but they were really against being in the same scene at the same time for some reason.

Story of the video. Both The Weeknd and Joji are in purgatory like in Dawn FM, and have been doing music together their whole life. And have had the same lifestyles that led them to this meditative state within purgatory I’ve their lives. Both have been lifelong friends. In this video and within the lyrics The Weeknd meets one’s of Jojis old lovers and he becomes deeply in love with her. Or rather deeply infatuated.
However, because this girl hurt Joji so much and was not at all consistent with her beautiful appearance on the outside, rather having a toxic being within that manifests itself outside, Joji finds out The Weeknd wants to pursue this girl, but Jojis trying to save The Weeknd from going down this rabbit hole. He’s trying to save him from being hurt.
Joji’s footage from “Slow Dancing in the Dark” is him straight after that same girl not only broke his heart, but stole his heart through the arrow in his back and then left him for dead. That and she got away with her murder of him. And before Joji dies as in the music video of “Slow Dancing in the Dark” and even first going into purgatory, Joji sings the lyrics of his “Die for You”, choosing to ignore the actions the girl did to him, saying that he would still die for her. Almost indicating that he’s still hypnotized by her power, as she is a succubus in a way.
And with that, Joji tells The Weeknd this story, and hopes that he will listen, and for a while he does. However as time passes The Weeknd soon ignores Joji’s warnings. And The Weeknd then completely pursues her. The “Die for You” lyrics are from The Weeknd’s naively optimistic perspective, thinking that Joji is misguided and as he heard that he was killed by someone else who was framed by the girl that actually killed Joji. It’s almost as if the girls outer appearance like a succubus is hypnotizing him. And when The Weeknd finally gets into a relationship with this girl it only lasts for so long until he faces the same fate that Joji faced that led him to his very death. Then we get the ending of the music video for “I feel it Coming”. And while the girl/succubus doesn’t kill The Weeknd, he is filled with the same despair that Joji felt right before his death. And that’s how we get the ladder half of the Dawn FM music videos where The Weeknd is jumping from girl to girl just to relieve the pain and despair, the very hole in his heart that Joji’s past love left in him.
Joji himself is feeling horrible and disappointed for The Weeknd as he not only has to face the consequences of the same decision he made, but far worse as they are in purgatory. And while he’s moving on from his regret and actually closer to heaven rather than hell, The Weeknd unfortunately stays within the same cycle as I said before, and as made clear in the “Is there Someone Else” music video.
And finally before Joji enters heaven, and Angel by the name of Jim Carrey tells Joji that he will find The Weeknd in his cyclical state and tell him the wisdom that got Joji to heaven. Ergo we get “Phantom Regret”.
Edit: The footage from the “Run” music video, is Joji in purgatory on his usual instant gratification filled trips in the near infinite limo. The Weeknd was with him earlier, before Joji fell asleep from being drunk. But The Weeknd was then led out of the limo by the Succubus. And the music video is Joji waking up and not only trying to look for The Weeknd, but reminiscing on the Succubus that killed him, pretty much not only hating her for what she did to him, but what she’s about to do to his best friend.
