Little tip for projects with belts: It works way better with convex rolls (like the skateboard wheel) than concave ones (the one you made). A belt will always center itself on the highest part of the roll (sounds strange, but you can see that effect at 5:12 for example: On the top it is centered, but on the bottom the belt is an the edge)

Yeah, this thing badly needs belt tracking adjustment. The belt nearly came off late in the video.
Exactly! You will find this used on all belt sanders. Cheap and more expensive use this feature.

Cool! Amazing that it doesn't require any tracking adjustment mechanism.
You should make a version a half width 72" belt, would be great for removing weld seems from the inside of square tubing.
