Tremendous job on breaking this down! I’m about to play this for a worship night at my church and while I’m usually really good at interpreting the drum track I always find that an accurate breakdown makes it a lot easier. I usually don’t follow a cover or tutorial of a drummer that didn’t actually lay down the track, but I sometimes find a really accurate breakdown of of a song and this one is on the money. Great job, powerful drum parts and lyrics. I’ve noticed in a lot of your videos you are playing with your left stick upside down… what’s the strategy for that?
It tends to give a fatter tone out of the snare. If you don't really get what I'm saying, try hitting a practice pad with the tip, and then upside down. You should hear a more thud like sound with it upside down. That's why.
