I’m the living human experiment of what Dr Fung is saying. I always ate healthy and was fit. Two years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. When I spoke to my oncologist about diet I was told they weren’t researching that. I wasn’t satisfied with the answer and have adopted a fasting lifestyle, eating organic and focusing on wellbeing. I feel great and am cancer free! This is truly the future of health. Thank you Lewis and Dr. Fung. I will make reference to this video often.

I had stage 3 tripple negative breast cancer when I was 25. I had not heard anything about intermittent fasting back then but studies were coming out about diet and cancer. Specifically eating a more plant based diet. I won't lie, I thought I was gonna die and leave my 3 year old behind or the cancer would travel to my brain. I started eating more plant based and ate fish now and again. I'm on year 14 cancer free after bring told the cancer had a very high chance of coming back after 2 years. I cried when the oncologist released me after 10 years. I even got pregnant 3 times and had 2 babies when they said it would be almost impossible for me. They are 5 and 3 years old now.
Side note, my 5 year old goes to school and only gets lunch. They don't get to eat anything else until they come home.

Dr. Simoncini, KNOWS xancer is a fungus. He knows what it is, he is honest, and he had cured it for over 25 years with simple, non toxic, backing soda. Why would baking sodium bicarbonate work: BECAUSE CANCER IS A FUNGUS. Pass it on, please. Save lives. They don't want this out ;-)

@@MattGalter I've heard the baking soda theory before but I've doubts about cancer being that simple. His would you get the baking soda to the point where the cancer is located. The problem with alkalizing the body via any food is the stomach needs to be very acidic to digest or utilise minerals etc. What Dr fung is teaching, it is much better to prevent cancer by reducing the hours we eat plus fasting so that the body had a chance to clear out unnecessary junk (detoxify). I would guess it is dangerous to live long term in a constant state of candida over growth which I someone suffer from myself, It could possibly lead to cancer.

After scary sugar crashes, inspired by Dr. Jason Fung, I eliminated carbs and sugar. My new diet is 100% green vegetables, butter, cheese, and nuts - a total of 30g of net carbohydrates per day. (I have severe allergies to fish and can't stomach meat)
For 3 months, I ate twice a day, starting at 1PM. The sugar crashes vanished instantly. It was tough at first; I felt weak and dizzy for a few days. I was worried I was diabetic, and was trying to reverse it.
It's amazing how our bodies adapt. I can't imagine going back to a high carb diet and felt great once after the first couple of weeks. I lost 20 lbs, which was unintentional as I was already 10 lbs underweight according to the standard BMI charts.
I felt something shift in my body at the 3 month point. I was hungrier and ate more, but my glucose levels remained at 75-85.
I took the AC1 test this week, and got '5'. The doctor said I'm not diabetc! I think I was, and reversed it with the diet.
Last week, I added blueberries and beans to my diet, and started having 3 meals per day. Glucose levels remain low. Today, I tried to eliminate snacking because I end up snacking non stop, just like Dr. Fung discusses in this clip. Today was hard, I felt faint cutting down on snacks. This diet works, but take it very slow because it can be an adjustment.
This Dr. knows what he's talking about. Although I don't agree with the meat/fish endorsement because in my case, it always makes me feel ill and lethargic, and I have horrific allergic reactions to seafood/fish/chicken.

I did that to stop smoking, I never touched a cigaret again and as soon as I craved one, I imagined smoking one, enjoying it, went through the whole thing without really doing it, so they made me stronger in resisting. But with food it's harder for me. When I was younger I could eat amounts without gaining weight, I weighed 63kg being 2 weeks away from giving birth. After giving birth I dropped to 54kg-56kg but due to taking medicine during a burnout I gained 20kg in 1 year!!! Since then something is completere off with my body. Then I had to take a medicine a few years later that made me drop 7kg in 1,5 week and I had bruices all around my waist, that was scary, they thought I had developed cancer, but as soon as I stopped taking the medicine, I gained weight again. And it doesn't come off anymore.

This information on intermittent fasting these days is incredible!
For years, (over 3 decades ago) I struggled with my Weight. I went on So many diets that didn't work long term. They made me obsess about food even more!
Then I decided to listen to my body.... And I never really liked breakfast, or dinner - but was made to eat them.
When I finally got to eating one meal a day... Which is what I felt like naturally doing.... I FINALLY lost weight.
But Drs warned me against it.
Suggested that I eat snacks throughout the day instead.
And this was my health decline - this is where my simple carb intake sky-rocketed.
And started causing mild health issues that I was prescribed medication for.
Fast forward 30 years and my health hit crisis point. Weight crept on despite minimal eating.
And the turning point was going back to eating what I naturally felt like, only when I felt like it.
Meat nearly dissapeared, veggies filled my diet and I only eat an early dinner.
    My health issues are dissapearing.
Society makes us obsess and get addicted to poisonous food!
So many GP's are ignorant on nutrition and food as medicine.
This information has reinforced what my body was trying to tell me all along
    Thankyou 🤗

We have been convinced by so many authorities that women over 50 have difficulties loosing weight, so I resigned myself to the fact that that's how it is going to be. And then I started intermitten fasting and started loosing weight, six pounds in 28 days, and I did break it couple of times. Apart from that my sleep has improved, my mood is far better now, and even my skin looks better.

Excellent information!! Thank you DR. Fung. I have been a nurse for forty years and have seen with my own eyes, how the health of people in general has deteriorated. The population I care for are pregnant women. Women who are supposed to be in the best shape of their lives, but instead are obese, hypertensive, diabetic, depressed and many have severe anxiety. These are the most common and preventable conditions I see everyday. All of which can lead to complications during the birth process. Complications that can be fatal to mom and her baby. No wonder the c/section and infant mortality rates are so high in this country. And the dads are no healthier! My advice to anyone wanting to become pregnant....Lose weight FIRST by fasting as Dr Fung recommends so you won't get diabetes and high blood pressure. Many of the patients I see are obese to start out with and then gain more on top of that. This is a big mistake. Being pregnant doesn't give you carte blanche to gain a lot of weight. Stop drinking alcohol because all that booze makes you and your liver fat and kills your brain. Forget about eating crap food anymore. You have to eat healthy if you want a healthy baby. Period. Go easy on the coffee to give your adrenals a break. Do yoga to relieve your anxiety and depression. And eat lots of vegetables!

This video to me was the definition of greatness. When you do things to make an impact in the world by helping people. Wow, amazing. I loved the way he closed it out.

Same here. Thanks so much dr Fung and Lewis !! Listening to dr Fung is my weekly motivation. Lost 40 pounds in a year by just IF. It was so easy to do and I will keep doing this for ever !!

@@girlmyrna7098 thanks for sharing!! Fasting is so powerful!! I went beyond IF and through in some 14 days, 5 days, 7days, and 2 day water fasts and I got even better results. Wish you continued success ; ).

@@anitaknight3915 thats awesome Anita. Longer fast I never tried. I once did a 48 hr fast but that didn’t go very well. I woke up very dizzy and weak. Maybe I didn’t have enough water or electrolytes, I don’t know.

Same, I'm quite surprised I didn't skip, didn't look for time stamps, Lewis at it again with great line of questions and the DR is speaking to me, have lost weight from intermittent fasting but have been stuck at a plateau for months now, will definitely cut out most of the sugar I consume.

My dad smoke for many years and finally his lungs couldn’t hold it anymore. He had COPD and the smoking already damaged/ caused fibrosis of the lungs. He was 80 when he passed away and that’s 50 years of smoking. My dad was very healthy except smoking causing his lungs damaged.
One thing I always thank God was his lungs never turned into cancer. His other organs were perfectly well every time doctor checked on them. Normally other organs like heart would be affected if lungs are bad but his wasn’t. He had no heart issues, no cholesterol issues, no sugar level issues, no weight issues and not often had cold/flu etc. Now thinking about this, he was never snacking! Sometimes he forgot meals!! He never over eating! Now I see why 😊

Thanks for sharing ! I learned about fasting from my dad except he did it differently . It was more like the trend master cleanse . I wish he was able to listen to dr fung and could've prevented his cancer

My take-away is hearing that the act of fasting may possibly turns on additional mental powers. That possibility alone has made me decide to fast. Thank you for your show Mr. Howes, and thank you for yourknowledge sharing, Dr, Fung.
