- When you're undersized for your position and level of play, creativity is key. You've got to be able to adapt and pull a number of tools out of the toolbox whenever they're needed. These are 5 of the best "tools" you can have to finish at the rim as a shorter guard.

1: Inside hand finish
2: Bump and fade
3: Sneak finish
4: Off foot finish
5: Jump stop finish
You ainât lying
Thanks
Legend
Jump stop finish is so underrated.
Bro the jump stop is fr, almost every high school game, I get at least 6 points just off the jump stop.
Bet ima add this to my bag
For us small guards even a little opening is great and since we small itâs easier to change the layup in mid air
Iâm 5â5 and I donât agree on this
Agent K your not a small guard your just a small human đ. Like 5â8â-6â is small guard tbh
Mattias Ruiz đ đ
Mattias Ruiz đ i know....
Mattias Ruiz but still doesnât mean you small you are already great in changing mid air lay ups I donât even believe we should be in mid air
Man this channel is a gold mine for undersized guards keep dropping shit like this we litđ„
Could you please make an âAttention to Detailâ video based on John Stockton? Heâs my favourite player to watch.
Why?
Knoda Basketball because he is a great pg to learn from
NamerChangers Prod. The only thing I like about him is his pick and roll passing and his reaction timing on defense other than that ainât much to learn
Man throwing elbows at your ribs on the down screen and shit lol
but um why
Here before itâs on instagram
Ayyy! This vid boutta be đ„
great video. i really like the advice on jump stopping. it's such a fundamental part of the game and i agree you can take contact a lot better out of that position when you can load up and jump off of two feet. you can also mess with rim protectors with the jump stop and then the up fake. i had to learn how to do that when i started playing varsity ball cuz i was no longer a big guard but rather just an average sized guard.
Whoâs your favorite small guard? đŹ
Steve Nash đŽ
Devonte graham + kemba walker
Kemba for sure
Steve nash
or AI

Crazy I had all these in my bag before watching đ
im a 5â5 freshman. deadass been binge watching all these small guard basketball vids all week. definitely trying to be a shifty finisher
soooooo underrated. this channel needs more subs
Great Video . Thanks
Really pleased that you show a lot of clips from Lowry in this. As a shorter guard he really is an artist when it comes to finishing around the rim especially considering he is far from being the fastest or most athletic. Many times I'm left wondering how'd he finish that? You really effectively illustrated how.
I am pleased because Lowry is my favourite player
This is so much helpluf đ€ČđŸ
Good video,good ideas thanks man!
Best CZcams breakdown channel
pls make one on james hardens shiftiness
jumping off 2 feet just helps so much in my game and it keeps you on balance for the lay
Could you make a breakdown on how John Stockton was able to become the all-time steals leader? His defense is so underrated.
Impressive youâre still making this videos since 2016. đđ»
Thank you very much.
Jump stop may not look the prettiest but for it's one of the efficient ways to score a basketball
Can you make a video on how to hit contested shots more. Great vid btwđ„đ„
Make an Attention to Detail on Tremont Waters very underrated small guard
Do an attention to detail on D Rodman pls and thank u
Can you make a video about Malcolm Brogdon's finishing technique?
Was always a fan of Kemba Walker Texas Ranger. I wish I could hoop again.
Lit đ„
Can you do a breakdown on d rose i mean drose rightnow
Nice, but i would add scoop layups, cradle layups, eurostep and runner.
đ„đ„
off foot needs a lot of practice
also, jump stop is a risky move because defenders can swipe the ball out
Iâd say jump stop is the safest option tbh
Hey you have any drills I can do for the off foot finishing
How about an Attention To Detail episode on Vince Carter?
Tremont Waters feature??? đ„đ„đ„đđđ
tight
Can you please make a video on Trae Young
Coach Coleman đ how did you know I just got blocked stupid in my last pickup.

Kyrie irving ballhandling workout plzzz coach
I always bump and fade. Im a shorter player but I'm bigger than most dudes I face.
Thereâs also the dunk, I think you forgot
Not first but earlyđđ»
You forgot the floater
Unfortunately you canât pivot after a jump stop in FIBA rules
BAMB talks, i listen
Can you please repost the Chris Paul attention to detail. It got taken down
Iâm a 14 year old 6â3 center but I want to play like a guard and be a unicorn how can I do this
You shouldnât even be playing center bro. Your coach is only setting you up for failure. Work on ball-handling, shooting, layups, passing, defence and your IQ of the game by watching players who play your position.
Why are you a center? I ainât tryna be a d-bag but the fact youâre a center at 6â3 is sad.
I reckon youâll be a small forward or shooting guard. Both of these positions require these skills I told you to improve earlier so do your best to become the next unicorn, you know what Iâm saying?
Kahin Ahmed thanks for the advice man and the only reason i play center is Bc Iâm only 14 so I play smaller kids so itâs easier but Iâm crafty and really good at driving is there any way I can send you some clips
DNA KALED I donât need to see, I already know how good you are dawg. Try asking your coach to make you play at the 2 or 3. âCause coaches like that will ruin your player development, trust me. I had a coach that made me play as a center at 6â3 in HIGH SCHOOL. Iâm glad I quit when I did.
I believe in you!
Kahin Ahmed Alr man thanks
DNA KALED No problem broski!
Just a note. It seems like all players resorted to inside hand finishes because they didn't have a left hand finish/layup. If it really was a necessary part of their finishing package I'd have expected these players to have at least one or two instances where they're doing it on the right side with their left hands.
it can be both
attention to Detail Joe Johnson please (gonna say this on every one of your vids till it happens.) thx
Does 6ft 2 qualify as a small player??
Yes
In my opinion, no.The average NBA point guard height is 6â2. Cassius Winston who played at Michigan State is 6â1 and heâs considered âundersizedâ.
You got some good height for a PG
In high school no but in college yes. It also depends on your weight
@@blackfazos4202 yeah bro im real light g and im 17
@@haydencarr1119 how light we talking? 160? 150?
