Great video. Door control is critical; not only during the initial attack, but also throughout the fire attack advancement and rescue effort. Leaving the entry door open can and will introduce much needed O2 to a fire getting hotter by the second. Door control could be the difference between a successful rescue and a tragic loss of life.

Recent UL study shows opening the door reduces compartment temperatures. Leaving the door open while flowing water and making an interior attack is fine. If there’s no attack line, leave it shut

Question? How does this work on residential fires where doors open to the interior

Rope, webbing, halligan and/or roof hook can all be used to control an inward opening door.
