The five bells of Pisano ring out as the storm arrives

- The oldest mention of the village of Pisano (Italy) dates back to 1282, when it is mentioned in three precious parchments kept in the abbey by the lake. The church was completely rebuilt in the 16th century, when it was enlarged and the bell tower raised. The bell tower has five very beautiful bells, which are in the scale of E flat major. The bells were cast in 1936.

The video was made in a hurry, as a very heavy thunderstorm was coming. The thunderstorm caught us while we were in the car, creating a small river of water throughout the surrounding area. The bells rang very little, as some people without culture complained and preferred those throwing up beer outside the bar to these magnificent bells. This is the death of culture and civilisation, unfortunately.
The ancient Romanesque church became autonomous at the behest of Saint Charles Borromeo, as it was still under the territory of Milan at that time, while it later came under Novara during some civil strife in the 18th century. The building was greatly enlarged and rebuilt at the end of the 17th century, when it took on a Baroque-style layout with a single nave. The church is small and very well decorated, a cosy building that also preserves some pieces of 14th-century frescoes. Beneath the floor are the tombs and bodies buried in the cemetery that existed here until the end of the 16th century.

I think that without traditions we lose part of our soul.... My house is in the center of the village between two churches! I enjoy the healing sounds of the bells! I don't think anyone in our village would think to complain about this! And yes, we have a clock on one of the towers that strikes every half hour! Thank you for the comment on this suggestive video! The ringing of bells against the background of the sky before the storm is magnificent, for a few minutes we didn't all get wet with the rain! Campane non male, chiesa molto decorata e meraviglioso il mosaico. Peccato per la distesa molto breve, per caso ci son problemi di lamentele. Come sempre stupendo il video, bravissimo
