Well, luck finally played in my favor. After getting out of work early and sitting around my house, I heard an RS-1 crew on the radio receive a form D for Silver Springs. I immediately got on the move to make the hour drive towards LeRoy where I'd catch up to the train. From here we chase RS-1 south to Silver Springs, watch them interchange with Norfolk Southern, then follow them back up north.
This is the first time shooting in 4k on my new camera, so please let me know if the 4k video is worth it to you or if you are satisfied with 1080p HD. I know many people don't have 4k monitors (myself included).

That's a lot of locomotives for a short train. Looks great at 1440p.

Thank you! When they come back north towards the end of the video they have around 70 cars. So, they definitely made use out of all 4 locomotives!

They have a constant 5-7 mile long grade southbound. Plus they don't usually break up a power set so they usually have 4 locomotives no matter how few cars they have in both directions.

The depot is not in jeopardy.
The Mayor of Warsaw contacted the railroad last year and couldn't get ahold of anyone, but in July or August the railroad contacted him after deciding to demolish the depot and the depot is being given to the village for restoration. It will be taken apart and moved like they do at Genesee Country Village, there are 3 locations offered to put it. The railroad approved the village's plan to move it in April, 2024 and work towards that move has already commenced. They have had people looking at the depot formulating a plan of how it will be done.

Glad to hear a plan was finalized! I just heard about the potential move a few weeks ago and hadn't gotten any update that the village was moving forward.

Thank you! I used my new Nikon Z50 for this video, with a Sennheiser MKE 440 microphone. I run the camera in manual mode so I can control the settings for each shot. This was my first real outing with it, so I hadn't balanced everything yet.
