  • Another solution for my Overland Minimalist Tool Kit is the Roaring Fire Bonfire Mini Tool Roll. I was going to use a zippered pouch, but like this much better for its convenience and accessibility to my most used tools.

    The definition of “minimalist” trembles in fear when you come near. I thought I was a kit junkie….but I find myself humbly bowing to your garage door.
    Keep it coming, good knowledge.

    As a rock humper, I'm convinced overlanders don't actually go overlanding, they just make / buy things to talk about going overlanding XD

      Since few of us travel by tunneling, we're all overlanders. Just remember when climbing rocks to never be in between one of them and a hard place.

    • @lastbesttool
      @lastbesttool  Před 2 lety +1

      That’s a common and often accurate interpretation of overlanding for many, especially the big city dwellers. But gear is often a motivating force for many activities.

    Stumbled on this channel not long ago and have been binge watching ever since. I’ve been trying to put together a basic tool kit for my vehicle and this smaller one may be what I’m looking for. Thank you for the great content

    IMO one of the most valuable tools i carry in my minimalist kit is a standard and small needle nose vise grips. They have gotten me out of several jams where i either don't have the tool i need or can't get anything else to work. I like those tool rolls.

    Hey Doc, one idea to keep in mind is to get a card (expired credit card, gift card) and put gorilla tape, electrical tape and etc around it for easy carry and storage.

    I like this roll. More than the bigger model. The cost is not unreasonable. Kinda wish I needed one.

    That little roll is quite nice. All it needs is a small water proof roll top bag to put it in and it would be great for my bass boat.

    That's a nice size for a motorcycle saddlebag. I need to increase tool capacity from my old Dickie's branded bag.

    This is costlier than the Kriega tool roll. Those are perfect (not minimalist) for motorcycles, but maybe you need more for trucks.

    Great video. I just ordered the Roaring Fire Bonfire Mini Tool Roll. I received a notice from my bank that the order is from outside of the U.S. I went back and looked on their website and was not able to find any info. about the company. Do you know where the company is located and from where the tool roll will be shipped? Thanks -

      @gf2e Před rokem

      @@lastbesttool A 10mm wrench will do a fine job replacing a fuse. If it’s long enough, it can replace short high current wires. And you can use it to short terminals out, if needed. It can even do all of those at the same time!
      That should be enough to deal with most any electrical problems, right?
