Well I did have one person hate because he was in the wrong for telling me when he had no experience about International relations and when I was in another city about over a year ago, he was so willing to give me bad advice and not see the bigger picture why I’ve always said no to him about any suggestions he made.

You can but keep in mind that you will lose light coming into the elements

I think the lack of image stabilisation works against this lens for me.
But if you mount this to a E-mount, the new Canon RF mount, or anything mount adapter that support EF mount lens, It will be difference stories both you and I will be telling.

I have this lens (IRIX 150mm ) for a couple of months now, but I notice something very strange. Every time I mounted this lens on a camera (in this case a Canon camera) the battery depletes faster, even goes down when the camera is setting down in the off position. I had contact IRIX about this but I haven’t heard any resolution to this yet.
I’ am wondering if anybody else have this issue.
I’m not having this issue because I’m not use an adapter that has Aperture control
@@ThePandaPhotographer the copy of this lens that I have is an EF mount so it does not need an adapter.
But you miss my point, I am not using this on a Canon body. I have a Canon version on an MFT camera. The reason why I am saying aperture is that it does have aperture control EXIF. Did you look into this to find out that it can be the cause of it? I've seen this happen in old sigma lenses too.
ThePandaPhotographer I’m puzzled by this, it does not make any sense. That is why I’m asking the community for help.
I have many Canon and other brands of lenses, with a lot more electronics and not of them are doing this to the battery. Only happens when I use or mount the #Irix lens.
