Blowing up TVs, Planting Taters, & Filling New Garden Beds in Appalachia
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 11. 03. 2023
- We had a really productive day in the garden. We got our taters planted, compost spread in the back gardens, and started the task of filling the new beds we added to the bank. As usual once the work was done we set around and talked about things. This week it was everything from gardening to old TV antennas to Matt's childhood escapades. Early gardening season is a wonderful time in the southern mountains of Appalachia!

You two, sitting and chatting, remind me so much of my family. From the 1950s, I remember just sitting and listening to family members talking. It was such a secure, peaceful feeling. Especially when my brother and I would go to bed, we could still hear the murmuring and knew all was right in our world.
I fel the same way. Tipper has a way of making us all feel welcome and part of her life and family. She gives me much comfort, like you speak about. Im alone. A lot of times, I play her videos and she puts me to sleep ( tipper is laughing Iâm sure). Itâs so comforting! That same thing you speak about with hearing the murmur of âŠ.
I love this comment! My mom has a close friend who was around a lot when I was a child. I got to spend time recently with her when she visited my parents and I realized that the sound of their conversation almost lulled me to sleep! There was such comfort in hearing her voice intermingled with my parents' voices. I was so grateful for that experience as an adult. It made me laugh and tear up a little at the same time!
Happy to remind you of family đ Thank you for watching!
Thank you Sandra!! I'm glad we are comforting enough to put you to sleep đ We appreciate you!!
This is a great wood project book czcams.com/users/postUgkxkPIWb22DigCqxmlXerCyUF4HCl6eSU2L . Most of the projects use the pallet simply as a source of reclaimed wood not as a recognizable pallet so even if you didn't have a pallet you could make these projects with any reclaimed (or even new) wood. The instructions are excellent. The style is charming and would work with lots of different decor. There are quite a number of projects that involve tiling of teh wood pieces which is a really cool idea and can produce beautiful pieces when working with aged wood.
I am so impressed with all the work you and your husband do together. I never fully appreciated all the work my Dad did for his garden. He took care of the garden and was always proud of it and my Mom loved freezing and canning the things he grew. Sadly, I didn't realize how much work they put into doing things for our family when they were living. My children and I miss them. Wish I could tell them how sorry I am for not realizing all the work they did for us at the time. Thanks for posting your videos and letting me finally realize how hard my parents worked.
Thank Joyce!! I know you miss them terribly! I'm sure they enjoyed the work as much as we do đ
I know how you feel. I helped my Dad, but not nearly as much as I should have. I can still picture him at the end of the day leaning against the handle of his shovel looking at the large garden.
@@CelebratingAppalachia itâs not like work when you love what youâre doing, especially when itâs with the love of your life!
Tipper you are so right about it being hard to give up your independence. When my Mother was about 84 she started showing signs of dementia. I think the hardest part for her was knowing she was going to have to depend d on others. After she passed at age 88 we found a little beaded book and I sat down on her bed and read it. She titled it the things I miss that I used to be able to do. She wrote...I miss being able to cook big meals for my family. I miss roller skating and swimming. I miss watching the tumble weeds back home. I miss sitting on the front porch and singing with my 8 children (she had already lost 2). I miss my Paw and Maw but I will be seeing them soon. This just went on and on and as I sat on her bed I cried as my heart broke all over again for her.
Betty, I understand everything you said about your mama. I have lost ALL my independence also. I am only 68 and have been in a wheel chair for a year now. I have no family or friends, well just a couple...my husband passed 8 years ago and I lost my precious son to suicide. I haven't been out of my house for 10 months. Some days I have to wonder why am I still here? I never dreamed this is how my life would end up. If it wasn't for my little dog Hannah...I would be lost. You take care....
God's Blessings to you sweetheart. I am so sorry for you.
So so sweet!
@@cindakellogg1307 I am on oxygen for copd and I rarely leave the house, especially in the last few years. I live where it is winter for many months so there is no choice but to stay inside. My close family lives over an hr away and have health problems also...I can sympathize with you. Can you hire a companion to take you out or home care...something like that?
Betty-what a bittersweet memory for you! Thank you for sharing your mother's precious words đ
I laughed until I had tears coming out of my eyes, listening to Mattâs stories when he was a kid. That is exactly the kind of stuff my husband did. Iâm sorry you got the cold from Matt but remember, that sugar is costly. đđđ. Weâre supposed to have cold weather here as well. Iâll be wearing myself out trying to keep all the new landscaping covered up! Granny always told me that if you wait here until Easter to put out plants, youâll not have trouble with late freezes. She was a wise woman. đ. Do you remember having to turn a knob on the tv to stop the lines from running down the screen? I got a good laugh about yelling at the person trying to fix the antenna. Fun times. đ
Thank you Rhonda! I had forgotten about that knob đ
Matt, is mischievous †â€đ
Matt is getting more comfortable in front of the camera. Heâs a good husband to you Tipper, hold on to him, heâs a keeper. Youâre a good wife to him, so he needs to hold on to you too. Yâall got a lot done today. I know your excited for this years garden. It will be a great garden!
"đ¶Whistle me up a melody, whistle me back where I wanna be. Whistle me a tune that'll carry me to Tombstone Territory.đ¶" I watched all the western as a child and young teenager, Maverick, Gunsmoke, Sugar foot, etc. I still love the old westerns. I enjoy listening to you and Matt talking. Sent a prayer that you feel better quick.
Thank you Sue đ
Please post more stories of Mattâs youthful shenanigans! So fun to hear.
Mattâs right about âwhere the red fern growsâ is a good movie. My teacher in fourth grade read that book to us and I donât think any of us kids had a dry eye. Iâve seen that movie a few times and cried every time. You guys are so funny. Lol.
Kim J Becker yes that was good movie, though I hate when animals are hurt or die, though it's not in the movie, only telling of a true story. Old yeller was one few years before that. They were both filmed just east of me at the Oklahoma/Arkansas State line, it's beautiful,i love it! I love the Ozarks and the Appalachian!!
I watched it as a grown woman with my older brother that I found. He was shocked that I had not seen it, very good show đ.
I'm glad you got some planting done. One of my favorite things is just watching you and Matt just chatting together. It makes me smile.
So glad you enjoy it Margaret đ
Matt is hilarious đ. âCanât keep her off of meâđđ€Ł. I love the nice cool days to get things done on the outside. Itâs so sad when the cold snaps come and bite all the fruits; it got my blueberries last year. I love Where The Red Fern Grows and of course I cry. All the old shows are favorites. Thanks for taking us alongđ
Thank you Robbie Lynn! I hope you have blueberries this year đ
Boy, you two got a lot done! I never heard of Tombstone Territory and I'm a good bit older than y'all. I watched Gunsmoke and Wagon Train. We got three channels, ABC NBC and CBS when I was growing up. I liked a western called The High Chapperal. I still like old comedies like Andy Griffith and Hazel and they were always funny and they didn't have to cuss and carry on to be funny either! I loved Matt's stories of his childhood escapades! I remember right after I saw Mary Poppins (the first one with Julie Andrews) I tried jumping off my Maw Maw's front porch, which was pretty high up off the ground, holding on to her good umbrella because I was positive I could fly just like Mary! đ
We all grew up in the greatest time of tv đș. We were the remote control, lol đ. I really enjoy the talks you have with Matt. I remember working with my husband each year in the garden plantings. Keep warm and dry. Much love and prayers for you all. đ â€ïž
Thank you Sandy đ
Yâall have tickled me to death. Listening to Matt brings back memories of my own feral boysđ. I just had to close my eyes and keep praying theyâd live through their shenanigans đ. Love you guysâ€
At the end here when you ask Matt if those two hawks are mated and he says âwell, I didnât ask emâ omg Iâm laughing so hard because Iâve had such a similar exchange with my husband đđ whenever I see a plane flying I wonder where itâs going, whatâs the nearest airport, etc. One time I asked it out loud when my husband and I saw one flying overhead. I said âwow⊠where is it going?â And my husband started laughing and said âI donât know, did you want me to ask it?â đđđ»đđ» love seeing those precious comedic moments between you two!
đ
You could always say, "To an airport."
@@judithburke1539 haha thank you, I'm gonna whip that one out next time it happens!
I just love it that the two of you sit around chatting and being friends with each other after so many years of marriage. I love how you listen to each other. â€
Isn't that the way its supposed to be?
Absolutely love to watch your CZcams channel. Its like visiting with old friends. You are such a sweet couple! It's fun to here Matt tell his stories. You whole family is such a blessing to so many and God will bless you greatly. Well, rub with the Vicks vapor rub and feel better
Thank you so much!!
As Always love seeing you Tipper & Matt work together, outside..Great to see you getting your gardens & new beds filled and potatoes planted. Love hearing the Stories of You & Matt youth. I had forgotten about renting VCR's... Love the old Westerns too. I have a lot of old VHS movies. And a VCR. I have no other TV. GOD SPEED ON FEELING BETTER. I'll bet that SUPPER MATT MADE should have worked wonders on healing you up. Great stories with Popsicles!! I Enjoy our Time Together SO VERY MUCH!!
Thank you đ I hope you have a great week!
Where the lilies bloom is a must see. Itâs about Mt. People.â€
Love how you both work together and then enjoy a treat afterwards.
You two are such a joy to watch and listen to! You can just tell you have a wonderful relationship!
I love when you and Matt just seat and talk.
I just love your fast forward, you two are just working working working
I love sitting here with you all just listening to you two talk. Brings back so many good memories of myself growing up and been at my mom and dad's. They both worked hard. I wished I appreciated back then as much as I do now. Thanks for sharing with us.
The kids in our neighborhood spent several summers (between 1964-1967) playing the Big Valley. We took turns playing each of the characters, those were special days when I got to be Audrey. Thinking of video rentals, I got in trouble for not rewinding.....I learned what Be Kind and Rewind meant! We also spent hours pretending to be Mary Poppins in our basement, jumping off the landing at the top of the stairs, with our open umbrella's, hoping to fly. We hit the concrete basement floor every time, jumped back up and went back to the top of the stairs. Enjoyed hearing about yall's memories!
Gosh it's fun watching y'all talk. Matt was a regular country kid growing up! đ So many good memories. All country kids knew how to make their own fun. Y'all work so hard it just makes the food taste so much better. Always enjoy listening to y'all talk. Hope you all get to feeling better. Stay safe and GOD bless
If you all had boys, I bet they would have been just like Matt. Love listening to your stories.
It is so much fun being with you and talking with you on these videos, during your chat about the tv shows, my husband was telling you his name was Chester ,and you said it right after he did, and we laugh with you also.!! Great videos!!
đ
Wow, that was a lot of work, but yâall sure have a nice lot of garden beds. It looks awesomeâŁïž
I had to chuckle as you went down memory lane.
My husband watches all the old westerns, too. Itâs comforting to watch them. Iâm a retired Baby Boomer and I grew up with all those shows.
Youâre so right that itâs much safer for kids to watch them.
My grandkids like the old shows, too. Itâs gotten to the point that thereâs only two shows on regular TV that I watch anymore. Blue Bloods is the only drama I really like.
This is why I like your channel. I love your videos and the values you and your family have. Youâre so much like my family, itâs comforting. Thanks for everything you shareâŁïžđđž
Thank you Vickie đ
I love a peony better than a rose.
Matt cracks me up.
Try your local highway department. When they clean ditches the soil is good and you only have to pick out the refuse. I used it one year to replenish around my horse barn. Thanks for all you and your family accomplish and film for us. Much love to you all.
Great tip! Thank you đ
The highway department used to keep the ditches clean out and the banks trimmed here but they don't any more. The town of Morganton composts leaves and tree trimmings and sells it cheap. They call it Morganite.
â@@papaw5405 in Tulsa Oklahoma the county or whoever would take trees, limbs, etc from cleanup and grind into mulch. Anyone could have all you want free. And the stockyards would clean out the stalls, pens. And you could take a pickup, truck,or trailer to get some of the manure and they would load for you. Last I got any few years ago it was $5 pickup or trailer load.
I always enjoy these chats and the popsicles! That rappelling story cracked me up!
â€â€â€love when the new growth starts showing. I call it "the green fuzz". Very exciting.
đ
I bet that felt good getting some planting done. It always does doesn't it. Love listening to you and Matt talk about all the things. Sorry you aren't feeling well. Prayers for you Tipper.
Thank you Linda đ
Where the Red Fern Grows, is one of my favorite movies! Never watch it that I donât cry like a baby!!
I just fixed smoked sausage, new potatoes and fresh green beans with cornbread. So good. Hope everyone gets better soon.
That sounds so good đ Thank you đ
Sounds so yummy. I miss eating that at mom & dad's. They are both dead now. My son & grandson don't like them so I don't cook them.
Love the old western shows also ! I sure miss watching them with my husband. He passed away Will be 5 years in May. Cherish each moment you have with each other. I found out the hard way tomorrow isnât promised. I will see him and be reunited with him when Jesus comes to get me. He was my first last and forever love!
Thank you Julie! I'm so sorry you lost him.
Thankyou!
This video was so sweet. It reminded me of growing up way back in Missouriâs Ozarks. We were allowed to wander all over the hills and explore. I jumped out of a barn loft flapping Little Golden Books about Dumbo and Peter Pan. I guess I thought I would fly⊠I didnât but there was hay below.
We could barely ever get the tv to come in, nothing but â snowâ on the screen. I planted my potatoes in grow bags last year and they did great but I got 22 lbs of sweet potatoes out of a 25 gallon grow bag. You all are unique and I love that. Bless you all.
Growing up in the southwestern part of Virginia, our granny never would let us go outside bare footed until after the 10th of May cold spell(BlackBerry Winter!) The way things have have been going it will prolly be a 19th of April cold spell. Here in Western Kentucky our seasons are just about a month off this year. Keep vlogging we enjoy every episode!
Thank you Tim đ
It would be nice to plant sweet potatoes in one of your hillside beds. You would have wonderful lovely vines to spill over the sides . Once you plant them there is no upkeep . You would just have to harvest in the fall . Sweet potatoes are great for winter storage and I also home can my sweet potatoes in a sugar syrup .Great at thanksgiving .
I hope to plant some white ones Connie-great idea đ
I can my sweet potatoes in a light syrup there easy and delicious.
My brother has been trying to grow sweet potatoes for a few years now with no success.
Is there a secret??
@@justinehyre2975 We always hill up a big long row with lots of rich soil .We then cover the row with landscape cloth and pin it down . We then cut holes 12-14" apart and then proceed to plant our sweet potato slips and water them really well . Water a couple of times while they are developing a good root system , Rain will penetrate the landscape cloth . You pretty much then just watch them grow and harvest in the fall
@@justinehyre2975 you have to plant slips and not seed potatoes like other potatoes.
This makes me homesick for something I never had. Looks like a good life.
Matt is a man of few words whose facial expressions say alot. He was eyeing that popsicle doubtfully, until it touched his tongue...then a look of INSTANT gratification. Had to watch those few seconds twice.đ€Ł I'm actually surprised how much I enjoy watching your garden come together. It reflects your love of the whole process. đ
đ Thank you!
My husband and I are
close in age with 2 children your girls age.
We grew up in rural part of Virginia and did not have access to cable or satellite tv until I was in college.
We never had tvs in our bedrooms. Only in family room and mommy and daddyâs room so our tv watching was limited. We spent time outside. Not in front of tv.
Funny, today, I can go to their house any day if the week and itâs on that Western channel. Best gift us girls ever got him!
It's so nice to see spring touching your yard- we still have alot of snow here in Nova Scotia. I think that pretty purple flower that your aunt gave you is Lamium (spotted dead nettle) You'll like that it's deer resistant. I haven't tried it but it's edible (flowers and leaves) you can make a tea or finely chop it in mashed potatoes. Hope everyone's over their colds soon.
Hey fellow Bluenoser! I too mentioned 2 her that plant. Then I thought I'd scroll down 2 c who else tld her and saw you!
Heather Greenwood oh thank you for the information!! I thought the flower looked like dead nettle, and also known as henbit, but wasn't sure. My granddaughter,my daughter, and myself were just talking about that the last few days, and it's even good to eat, so healthy. I looked up recipes just yesterday to make a "pesto"with it.
Thank you Heather đ
I so love when you and the hubby sit and just talk with stories and food †Don't get me wrong, I love ALL videos but partial to these đ Be Safe â€ïž
Matt had me rofl with his puked up cottage cheese comment, I love those coconut pops too! I love yâallâs popsicle chats. This is my favorite season with all the new growth sprouting all around!
It cracks me up and I love watching you guys setting there with your jackets on eating those cold treats. Feel like your getting ready to visit with us. I would be freezing to death laugh out loud.
đ Thank you for visiting with us!
Tipper, "It's what he told ya about trying to get sugar, can't keeper off of me!" I busted out laughing at that! I needed that good laugh. Had to go back and rewatch it so I could comment and get it right. Lol
I truly enjoy watching yall from here in KY and can't wait to see your garden blossom this summer then watch ya cook it up.
Glad you enjoyed it đ
This conversation was priceless....đđđ. How did we survive with
So few broken bones....no helmets, pads, and supervisors....lol Love you guys..... many laughs watching this.
So glad you enjoyed it đ
Where the Red Fern Grows is the first movie I rented.
We watch all the old westerns too, my wife bought me the complete set of Gunsmoke too. We love them, tales of Wells Fargo, wagon train, Rifleman all of them. Thatâs why I watch all your stuff, I swear we are family lol. Good to see folks with interest like ours.
Your property is beautiful. Looks so organized and ready for the coming season. Happy gardening, Tipper. âïžâ„ïž
Thank you đ
I like watching "The Life and Times of Wyatt Earp", as well as Tombstone Territory .
I love these working popsicle visits. Very relaxing. Nice spending time with you fine folks. My boyfriend shot our old tv in the front yard. That tv used to flip & flip so we were fed up with it. But there's lots of glass to clean up. Crazy memories. Good to hear you both laugh. I just love your whole family. đđ„°đ€Ș
This has been one of my favorite videos. I love the way you to work together. I remember as a little girl the antanna was outside my bedroom window. Mama took the screen off. In the winter we could raise the window and tune in the tv. Wow now as l look back life and living was so simple then. Thanks for the memories. May God Bless y'all.

I so love watching you and Matt making the garden the sitting a spell to talk and rest a bit.
They are beautiful plants too.â€â€â€
Everything is greening up so pretty there! I love the splash of bright colors of the budding trees in the spring in NC. The splashes of shades of orange, yellow and green white and purple. Very pretty
Hi Tipper and Matt. You are so organized. Here in Arkansas the temps are going down to low 30's and 20's. I retired here almost 2 years ago. Wow, what temperature swings. Thank you for tips and recipes. Can't wait for your next book.

Well after watching this video I watched.. Where the red fern grows and like Matt said I bawled. So touching
Whenever I watch you and Matt working together in the garden, I think every time how you two are the Adam and Eve that God intended. You're a wonderful example of a godly marriage! đ

đ we do! Thank you đ
Glad to know about surprise lilies. Didnât realize they had green first.
I enjoyed listening to the 2 of you tonight, and it took me back, especially Mattâs sharing memories of his boyhood adventures. Behind our house when I was a child there was an old field, and someone had tied an old long length of rope to a high branch of a big wide oak tree. It wasnât the jump rope or clothesline type rope I was familiar with but thick, coarse tannish rope bristling with fibers sticking out. Big boys would climb the tree and holding the rope would swing on it and holler like Tarzan. One day, I was 7 or so I decided I was going to climb the tree and swing on that rope, so I did. I had no idea that you needed arm strength to maintain a hold, or that my hands were too small to grip it but once I jumped with the rope down I went sliding down and landing with rope burns on both hands and wrists, if memory serves. Oh the mercurochrome (sp?) stung when my mother dressed my hands and arms after washing them, and I believe I had gotten a splinter from it too. đ I enjoy watching the old western tv shows as well, I got into the habit a few years ago. I didnât care for such things as a child, though we all liked Bonanza back then. But now I really do like to watch them from time to time. My favorites are Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, Rawhide, and Wagon Train. Up here in Massachusetts weâre supposed to get a norâeaster starting Monday late in the day. I would dearly love for the winter to be over. Thank you for a most enjoyable video.
So glad you enjoyed it đ Thank you for sharing your favorites and your rope experience đ
Enjoyed the visit as always. Y'all are getting a lot done on the garden.
Y'all aremaking me smile with all those Western remembrances. My mother finally relented and we got a TV in 1957. I remember a show called boots and saddles. Actually I remember the name of the show more than the show, LOL. I don't really remember that many other shows other than westerns because, we weren't allowed to watch more than one show on a school night, if we had our schoolwork completed. My mother did not want a television in the house because then people didn't want to visit, they just wanted to sit and watch television. I believe she had a very valid point.
I always enjoy yours and Mattâs talks. All those good shows like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman, I could go on and on. I love where yâall live, I wish I could be your neighbor, lol đ
My husband and I watch your videos everyday together. It is by far our favorite channel!
Where do yâall get the mushroom compost? We need some to add to our garden badly.
Tipper, you have given me a gift with your channel that I appreciate so much! I am reminded of all my family that live on in my memory, since now at 72, Iâm among the oldest ones left. Thank you so much.
Thank you Linda! So glad you enjoy our videos đ My local feed store has it: Wayne's Feed Store đ
I loved Gunsmoke as well. (I'm 66) But my favorite older show was "Hawaii Five-O". Jack Lord was so cool. For me he was the modern day Matt Dillon.
You two are so great together...I love watching you guys and the kids
Usually I eat my dinner watching you. But tonight, you inspired me to do the dishes before dinner. I had no idea you could eat violets. Violet Jelly sounds like a wonderful gift. Gonna look that up. Another good video. THX!
I'm with Matt, Tombstone Territory is really good.
â I just love it when a plan comes togetherâ A -team
You have such a wonderful garden! I have been living in a small condo for the last six years. Though I am thankful for my home I sure miss working outside. I'm too sedentary but watching you and Matt makes me want to get more active. Great video. Thanks, Tipper for sharing your home/family with us.â€
So glad you enjoy our videos đ
See if your area has a community garden. They have them in our area and you may could have a raised bed to plant a few things in and make new gardening friends.
Was a fun visit with you both. Your garden is going to be beautiful when it warms up. I enjoyed yâall reminiscing about the tv, movies and antennas đ so many folks were climbing on the roof back in the day. Matt reminds me of my brother shooting stuff, oh boy the glass, our Dad wasnât too pleased either. . . and we did it all with no protective gear đ«ŁGlad you both are feeling better, definitely being in the fresh air and a hearty meal will be what your body needs to kick the cold out. Potatoes in the wood stove đđŒBlessings to you both đ€I agree Tipper, independence hard to give up, keep doing so you can keep doing.
You two make me laugh!!
So entertaining to watch you interact.
You made me feel a little better. We planted our potatoes yesterday. Rainy and cold here today.
Getting down into the 20's the next 3 days.
Really worried that I planted too soon although my grandfather in WV always said potatoes needed to be planted by St Patrick's day.
We did one long row of no dig and 5 grow bags.
So I guess I won't worry as much now..
And Matt's growing up stories are so similar to me and my siblings!! Good memories and laughs!!
justine hyre my grandparents would plant like that too. They said and would plant corn when oak leaves were size of squirrels ears! Course potatoes, onions, lettuce, radishes, sweet peas, etc were really early planting!
Thank you đ I hope your taters do great!
The one violet plant with the variegated leaves reminds me of a jelly fishđ„°
What did you guys think of The Waltons? I tear up when I see them now as it reminds me of my Grandparents and parents who are now gone. Yes, definitely safe family material. I remember crying over Where the Red Fern Grows. I think it was black and white but then we didn't have a color TV. Old Yeller really got to me!
Love the Waltons đ
Love the A-Team/repelling story! hahahaha! Aren't you glad you had girls?!? That's just what boys do. Unless you're watching them 24/7.
Such a wholesome family. You have changed my life in many ways. I love your videos and your gardens are beautiful. The South is my favourite place in the US. The most welcoming people. Iâm from Canada and during our many trips the Southern hospitality is matched by no one. I havenât been to the Carolinas so Tennessee is my favourite state so far. On one trip we were invited to Louisiana by a couple we met. Hugs all around. You and your family are so loving. You make my day.
Thank you so much!
When my daughter was in 1st or 2nd grade (she's 24 now), we had to read a book together. She picked Where the Red Fern Grows. I knew from my youth what it and Old Yeller would do to me!! I tried at least 3 times to get to the end of the book!! It never happened, at least not reading it out loud to her! My now ex-wife had to finish it! I LOVE all of your video's. Even though I live in central NC, we live in the country and do, cook, grow, hunt and have the same issues that ya'll do. A lot of words ya'll use are the same we use. Thank you, Matt and your girls for all ya'll do!!
I'm in the middle of buying the Gunsmoke series too. Just love seeing all the actors co staring before they were real famous, although some were already famous. I'm 68 and remember what your talking about. Agree about content too. Then of course I spent most of my life in Dodge City. Grew up there and graduated High School there. I went for a training seminar in Nashville Tenn. and emptied out several offices when they found I was from Dodge City. Lol. And hey, I even gunfought in Dodge City. Yes, I was killed. Lol... I was involved in a make believe gunfight with the Boothill productions đ
Fun stuff!
Love your videos. God bless all here.
Mr. T â I pity the foolâ. I still remember that. I learned in another channel the crows will chase off the hawks. The crows help protect your chickens. Donât scare the crows off!
You have a lovely property, Thankyou for sharing. Iâm getting on in age now and I remember the Westerns very well. My Grandad used to watch them with me. Chester had a lovely voice. I still get Westerns on now, black and white are the best!! đŹđ§đ„°
Tipper, that compost that you have from last year is like Mother Natures Gold
It is the best thing to use for everything you have planted, like vegetables and flower beds đ
Festus cracks me up. He is so whiny for being a wild west deputy. Lol Watching it as a kid, I never caught on to the nuances of their characters.
They would make us watch Where the Red Fern Grows at school before Christmas break in elementary school on the old projectors. All the kids would be bawling.
I remember renting the VHS machines. They were so big and heavy!
I'm also excited to watch what comes up in your garden! Thank you for sharing Tipper and Matt. Hope you feel better Tipper.
Thanks so much!
Oh VCR's. I remember trying to find the favorite parts of a movie and I would sit there hitting play and rewind endlessly and all 4 brothers yelling at me! Stop it Avery, your gonna break it!
Tipper, that purple, variegated plant your aunt gave you is called Spotted Dead Nettle, I believe. They're very nutritious in Vitamin C and such. They are also anti-inflammatory, among many other good things.
I love your videos but especially your Sunday posts with Matt. My weekend isn't complete until I watch Tipper and Matt discuss gardening, eating, and life. I can't start the week without it!
Thank you Henry đ
New subscriber here. I admire you for planting onions from seed. Lol I gardened in southern KS. I loved rototilling my garden in March, then planting potatoes on the 17th. You brought back good memories. Loved watching you two munching on your ice cream & visiting. Your voice is very soothing. I'm looking forward to watching your gardens grow. God bless you with abundance đđ»đ
I loved the A-Team!!!
