Glad to see another CZcamsr getting into RC Drifting. I could do with a camera man to get better footage myself. Hope to see you there again sometime.
Loved it, so much more to it than i first thought, very technical in the set up and then there is the body work etc to make them look good. Will deffo be back and need to think about how to get better footage, we shot so much at 200 fps to do slo mo and it all came out flickery, then this is all grainy.
May have to revert to using phone rather than go-pro
Loved your cars as well - we my fav of the day for sure, think you know Tomley as well ?
There is lots to learn and adjust in drifting but practice is the main thing. Yes I know Tomley, as he is my best mate of 25+ years. He was the one who helped me start my channel while being in lockdown. Great channel, working through your vids at present.
@@furiousdynamicsrc 25+ Years ago we were playing with RC Cars... and now look at us hahaha
I keep meaning to go down there. The guy with the Green Skyline 4:07 is my best mate (sorry Kev). And his Brother inlaw has the matching RX7 (Furious Dynamics)
It’s a great place - let us know what f you head down and will meet you there.
Loved green skyline and rx7.
Adding all the scale parts and decals etc is just another level and detail of drifting.
Footage didn’t come out that well sadly -
Shot a lot in 200fps for some supper slo-mo but it all had serious flicker and couldn’t use it 😢
@@HardcoreRC Hoping to get down there in August at some point. 200fps indoors is tricky... unless you have loads of light (the right light!).
@@TomleyRC yeah the footage sucked on the Go-Pro - even this was very grainy.
Filming indoors is very tough - what is the main camera you use ? how does that handle indoors with florescent lighting ?
Have Callum with me for two weeks beginning of August, so if you head down let us know
@@HardcoreRC The Hero 9 is terrible in anything other than bright sun light. I don't really do much indoor action stuff. My bench videos and some of my crawler stuff is with a Sony ZV1.. only shoots at 30fps at 4k, but that's perfect for crawling and bench work.
That was epic I love drifting glad you guys are doing it as well great driving
Thanks - Callum loves his Drifting so lots more to come, just have to find a way to film it better as the footage wasn't very clear
Yes that was pretty cool. Some of those car good looking. And that track is pretty big
Track is awesome, loved the two green cars the Skyline and RX7 - we will be going back for more 👍
If that was his first time then he's a natural. That was amazing.
Apart from a little play on a FTX Banzai, which sucks, this was his first time with a proper drift can and drift surface
Looks like so much fun
Dridting is fun, well if you can do it, i find it frustrating, but Callum loves it
I really appreciate you showing the electronics in your d5s👍 was the justock motor adequate for drifting considering it has zero timing?
We were recommended the Just Stock motor by the Drift shop, who we super super helpful. Its sensored with the Toro ESC so super smooth, and can also adjust timing and boost via the ESC and a program card, we have just added a wifi card to the ESC so can adjust the timing and turbo boost via phone app
Wow this one top Driftcar makes me say...i want one too ;) hahaha.
Nice Vid!!!
Thats bloody brilliant 👍 I love my two drift cars, one I built myself from the ground up
Nice, which cars do you have, couldn't believe how that limited edition one looked - we were all drooling over it 😂
@@HardcoreRC i know right! It was sooo amazing 🤤
I have a hps flying fish frame with a surpass hobby 2200kv motor 60amp esc.
And I built one with a Tamiya frame and all Arrma electronics. Nothing special and crazy but I love them haha I've been wanting to get the rmx 2.0 really badly haha
@@HardcoreRC haha I've been eyeing it up for a while, he should get it and open up even more video ideas haha
That place is awesome Love the drifting guys 🔥👍✌️
Thanks 👍 shame most of our footage wasn't usable due to flicker - will be going back and getting better footage
@@HardcoreRC Hate to hear the footage wasn't usable I know that was a bummer Looking forward to seeing more of that place Very cool track I'd love to drift around that track I've never tried to drift a RC but I've drifted full size cars many times and I raced RC off road and dirt oval for over 4yrs so I think I'd pick it up fairly easily I don't know though I am getting kinda old reaction time and eye's aren't as good as they were 20yrs ago lol 😂 ✌️
I would die happy to go here !💙
@@HardcoreRC it's a shame in in Vancouver Canada haha, most of the drift car sence here is very underground and need to know someone that knows about it
@@RhinoCards793 oh that's a shame, we found this place and its only 45 minute drive away, such a good place and everyone so very helpful
Ok baby something new!!!! 👍👍👊👊🥤🍿🥤🍿🥤🍿🥤🍿
Callum has always liked drifting, always watching the real cars so this just seemed a natural fit
@@HardcoreRC I have only had 1 attempt with my rwd drift car. I have the MST RMX 2.0 Tons of fun just need some practice to nail the apex’s!!!
@@Addicted_2RC Well you have a great chassis for drifting from what i have been told. Boys did really well for first go, i couldn't drive it for 💩💩😂😂😂
@@HardcoreRC hope so I bought it for the Mercedes AMG GT3 body!!!! My first 10 minutes I though my car was broken!!!! Definitely something to get used to.
Very nice guys. So I noticed that you guys had a Radio Link controller. I am waiting for my very first Drift Car MST FXX 2.0 V2 With BMW body kit. I wondered if my Radiolink transmitter will work ok with it.. :) Thumbs up btw
Just used the radiolink as we had a spare receiver for it and its what Callum uses for all his other cars, any radio will work, just really need one with a fast response time, we will likely swap over the the Noble NB4 once i get round to updating the firmware on it.
Very nice first drift car you are getting 👍👍
@@HardcoreRC Thanks. I have had the radio link for a while, works GREAT!! in my trail trucks.. I am hoping it will at least get me going with its own Gyro for a drift car. I am pretty excited about getting the car, cant wait. Something completely different for me. Thanks for the quick response.. ;)
@@RcNickster709 Thats ok, We were advised not to use the Gyro in the receiver for drifting and told to get a Onisiki gyro for rwd, Rc Drift - think the inbuilt one isnt that good or quick.
Could always give the Gyro a go and see if you need to get the Onisiki gyro for rwd, Rc Drift
Can you review the skyrc imax b6 charger please
Very little point as its not that good - its likely only 50 watts so cant even charge a 3s 5,000mAh lipo at 1c as that needs 63 watts. The Imax B6 tech is well over 10 years old now, far better chargers for less available - have a few in our description
Awesome! Can Callum give some Pointers?
Thanks - its really all about the control and having the car set up right, this place is great as they are all willing to help and set the car up etc. I have leant a lot from our normal bashing rigs, on Drift cars having everything set right is very important, for example if all the shocks are not the exact same length the car isn't balanced and will be harder to drift, digital calipers are a must 😂😂
How do I get merch
Have listed Merch store in description now - here is the link: hardcorerc.creator-spring.com/
where i can buy that
Would depend where you live really, would suggest Googling the car to see what it comes up in your local country
Not very relatable to full size drifting then where you need silly power to keep traction broken. Fit some mini spikes and set some proper lap times on that carpet.
Sadly dont think that is really possible in RC cars and then to have the control, we would get killed if we fitted spikes and killed the carpet 😂😂 can only use certain wheels so as not to damage it. Drifting is more about control and pairing the with car in front rather than lap times, was told that if you pass the lead car you instantly lose
@@HardcoreRC No mini spikes are rubber race tyres used to race on things like astro turf. I once worked with a Japanese drift champ at silverstone his car had NOB on it to him it meant No One Better he thought it was hilarious when he found out what it meant here.
@@HardcoreRC Got the name wrong it's mini pins gotta be 30 years since i did carpet racing.
@@gboulter Oh, still would not be able to use, have to use special wheels as its not normal carpet, its special drift carpet and been told one of only two places in the UK with permanent carpet laid down. Have to take shoes off etc to walk on it
Loving the content. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
