Singer Mafia has ruined many singing artists. To say, the list is very big. Ciny politics was so worst. "I will not sing if you entertain compititive new singers " Such was the blackmail activities those days.
Even Lata did not allowed her sister Asha to supersede her. Geeta Dutt was also snubbed by Lata ….. vo toh when she got married to Guru Dutt she got to sing in his films.
Suman kalayanpur another sister of Lata was snubbed too.
No issues on Lata’s g8 achievements but I regret her behaviour at large.

आज वोही 50=60= या 70 पहले की पुरानी माला की खुशबू और उसकी झनकार को सुनते उसके आस्वाद से मन को एक सुकुन मिलता हे
जेसे कई दिनों से भूखे इंसान को पेट भर कर उसकी पसन्द का खाना मिलते ही पेट और मन दोनों तृप्त हो जाते हे एसी तृप्ति का अनुभव ये सुंगधित माला की खुशबू से होती हे
अब न तो वो शब्दो के जादूगर हे ना तो वो तर्ज बनाने वाले रहे और न ऐसी आवाज रही

I am from a fortunate generation that coincided with the prime singing period of the divine voice called Lata Mangeshkar. I always chided my children that come what may their generation shall always be poorer for not having a voice even remotely comparable to Lataji. I found I was wrong (pleasantly) the moment I heard Vibhavari Apte the first time. I fervently hope that there are music directors now who can really create musical magic with her voice the way Lataji's voice created with music director's of the 50's, 60', and the 70's.
