- Hello Everyone 🤗 Today I’m sharing my favorite childhood dessert. I remember them serving these in our grade school cafeteria and I want to share this simple recipe.
PEANUT BUTTER CHEWS
1 CUP OF PEANUT BUTTER
1 CUP OF SUGAR
1 CUP OF CORN SYRUP
5 CUPS OF CORN FLAKES
An older woman down the street gave these in little baggies at Halloween when I was a child. My favorite treat!
I loved them when I was in school. They are absolutely delicious.
I'm going to try making these and try drizzling chocolate on top ❤️🙏❤️

This is truly an amazing recipe😋! I have made four batches since I watched your video. My granddaughter helped me today on Easter Sunday to make two batches I kept one and her mama came and picked up the other one. We are so thankful for you sharing this wonderful recipe ♥️. Do you think you can use Rice Krispies in place of the Corn Flakes?
I remember these when I went to a school in Hawaii back in 1958, or 1959. It was my dessert with my milk. Mmmmmm!

Hi Ms Brenda Dee! I am planning on pressing these into the pan & cutting after cooled. What size pan do you recommend? Thank you! And YES I remember these! SO yummy I always wished we could have gotten up to go get seconds from the cafeteria ladies! 🥰
9X13 or smaller and yes I always wanted seconds lol ❤️
I have never had these but it looks great. I was wondering if you can cut back on 1 cup of corn flakes and substitute with a cup of chopped roasted peanuts? But thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤😊

Ms Audrey No you don’t bake them. Just let them set until they completely cool. Place them in a storage container and refrigerate or leave them out until you serve them ❤️

How fun! I don’t remember eating these at school, however, I will make them as I love peanut too. Thanks for this recipe, and the fried ribs recipe which what I’d searched CZcams for initially, watched your video, and am going to use your recipe. I think I’ll make this dessert and fried ribs together sometime😃😃.
