I had a 77 flh when I was a teenager with the police style seat , I got it from a cousin of mine it was 74ci 4sp kickstart probably one of the best ones Ive owned I traded it for a 78 stock flh I wish I hadnt done that Thanks for the videos that bike is awesome inside n out
Nice ride... it's simple and elegant a well executed build...I suspect the paint is true HD colors vivid black and birch white...in 78 2 of my friends and I hit the highway headed to OKLAHOMA city from Wichita headed to the Grand National flat track races...I was riding my 77 Superglide 1 friend was on his flh custom and my other bud was riding his box stock 72 flh he had made a deal on it with it his then employer and sponsor of the race in OKC Hugo's Harley Davidson...his flh had the big buddy seat on it...he bounced up and down all the way there everywhere we went all weekend long... didn't matter what he did to try and get it to stop bouncing it kept right on bouncing... LoL the next week that big seat was laying in his back yard and he had a king queen seat on his 72...he said it was 3 days after we got back home before his eyes finally stopped bouncing around...🤔 LoL...
Ha Ha. Yep. I had to get big boy springs for the seat because I come with a few extra pounds! It's like floating above the bike rather than sitting on it.
Just beautiful. You are one lucky guy. As for that fabricated exhaust off the rear cylinder ... really it's so tucked away that its not at all obtrusive. Maybe some satin black heat proof on it? But no rush. A real pretty ride, and the best view (as you said)! Congrats.

I'm pretty sure I got it from J&P cycles. The seat and the hardware come separately. Ir's a strange experience first time. You feel like you're floating above the bike rather than actually on it.
