Her and Tupac are probably having a conversation right now.

Pac needed people to pull him to the side like that.
We forget he was just a young kid!!
Trey Davis with alot of energy and a mind to give off
2Pac never spoke anything about maya angelou. if maya was so effectual and affecting him like she trying to claim- she would of been in 2Pacs cornor and he would have pulled her in his cornor- "notoriously" standing up for a destitute cause WITH him!!! (2Pac powerful stand 4 the destitute young black male is beautiful) unfortunately she probably was bosom buddies with c delores tucker, working 4 dan quale n bush administration to foolishly destroy him!!!
@@grigrig9107 All she did was pulled him aside and asked him a very important question! She did not asked to be praised for what she did! She said that she didn't know him. Watch the video with your eyes but listen with your ears not mouth! Both Maya Angelou and 2pac along with many others have been powerful people who help change people's situation and impacted us!
@@1dondilion maya angelou was NOT impactful she was NOT effective. She failed to use her notoriety for change..then she had the audacity to challenge 2pac -a very impactful determined and compassionate leader who was using his resources love and brilliance for change to a destitute cause. She KNEW that and she knew of him. But If she didn't know him why didnt she introduce herself b4 chewin him out over " cussin". She knew him alright. She WANTED to be mean and hateful to 2pac. She made him CRY when she should have been making him Proud. An older woman who is familiar with injustices inequality for black amers in america but yet she would deride on a young black leader to kill his spirit. Shame on her!!!
@@ammonbakarri-o6842 wrong. First if maya angelou was so caring of 2pac . 2pac would have dined with her. He would have taken photos with her he would have spoke kindly of her. The great leader never said 1 word good or bad about her and he was extremely transparent with ppl. If that incident btwn the two of them was meaning ful 2Pac would have told us. But he continued to respect maya angelou in that regards. His rap lyrics 'still i rise" ( indirectly reference maya angelou) you hear a child usin cuss words. " I dont care what you motherfuckers say Ima still come up" so fuck all yaw " obviously maya was referring children when she chewed him out about " cussing" . thats all she HAD. She couldn't insult him for anyrhing else because he was clean honest and nice.
She is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women ever..
yes agreed
ZiglerZ she’s a queen
💯
Indeed. Queen Mother Maya.
I wish I could have met her
See the thing is, Tupac was multi dimentional. He wasn't just a rapper. Maya Angelou was not just a poet either. These are two multi dimensional people.
Like kindred spirits. They spoke the same language. She saw him for the wounded young man that he was, not the Thug image he portrayed. That is why he cried. That is why she changed him.
Keep them alive. New Order Black Panthers.
@@jennieflores5895 Why would a Hispanic want to associate with the Black Panthers? We have our groups (La Raza) that have nothing to do with black political movements. Know your culture, "Flores".
EVERYONE is multi dimensional!
They were both poet's, just in different ways.
“Life is life, and death is death. And so I must be telling truth, when I speak.” - Maya Angelou
AMENT
When she said that I felt a chill climb up my spine... i felt that somewhere deep!!!
Yup
Can someone explain this quote to me, i can’t seem to grasp it and i am interested in what it means.
@@vilijam22 Essentially she's saying that she only has the rest of her lifespan to speak before death takes her away. So it's better for her to speak the truths that people need to hear at that moment versus dancing around the conversation with nice sounding words and wasting the precious moments she has left.
Tupac was a special one
+revolutie Yeah he really was.
revolutie YES HE WAS AND STILL IS TO ME
For sure. Most definitely👍
Yeah he was an still is man, he had so much influence on so many especially when he got out of jail, oh man he was Powerful, the energy he put out is still unmatched til this day, I remember his energy in the streets , I was 20 years old when he died, I remember his influence an power it was AMAZING MAN !!
myownlane Nipsey was the closest to PAC
"When was the last time anyone told you how important you are" that probably hit him like a brick. Life flashes before his eyes type words
he needed that i swear, he needed someone like that around him
She didn't know him so she didn't know how much these words were right.
Pac was raised by Afeni to be a major leader. As a kid, his mom used to tell him that he was so important for the community, that he was a black prince.
Pac was a black panther, so he was more than aware of what his people have endured during the last centuries.
Maya had the words that Pac deeply felt. That's why he cried. It was like a reminder : stop this bullshit, you have a nation to raise.
He probably thought of his mother
Nice
They treated Tupac like **** on set of "Poetic Justice", that's why he lashed out numerous times. For Dr. Maya to calm the storm means a lot. To be misunderstood but shown compassion by one means more than almost anything. I hope she knows she really really really changed lives. And I'm proud to be part African descent. I love Tupac too! 😘
cool
You should have just said African descent, being part this and part that comes off like their's a part of you that you don't like. Just my observation.
Girl, stfu
I like the ending😊
Beautiful i agree respect both ways.
Her voice is so damn soothing. Miss her so much.
Lisa Smart not!
Right? She’s so articulate and annunciates her words so precisely that it sounds perfect, and then includes the emotion of the poem she chooses.❤️
We all do
Pac was a young kid with an entire world on his shoulders. His mistrust in people wasnt unjustified, but the anger of youth just took him to a dark place.
If anything, this makes me respect Pac even more. The fact that he cried shows you just how much he was hurting and felt for shouting and screaming and cussing like that.
Maya Ang, God bless you!
how bout the time he shot those cops beating on a black man he didnt know how bout when he went to chicago and challeged the gds over killing kids how biut thtat
Well said.
Exactly
Especially during his time in Baltimore. Outside of his school (School of Performing Arts) people were extremely nasty to him according to his homie Darrin Bastfield.
If you're a PAC fan then you know that she was one of his biggest influences so for her to be actually kicking game to him must've been insane to PAC
Word
Facts
She had no idea who he was and asked him "when was the last time someone told you how important you are?" That importance had nothing to do with his celebrity. I have chills listening to her tell that story.
She really was just a truly beautiful person.
phenomenal woman
Ivette Cruz you to beautiful
She is what women today should follow. He is what men should stand for.!! Much Love to God Children.... _koran20 Instagram

DAMN SUCH IRONY! SHE GAVE TUPAC "POETIC JUSTICE " ON THE SET OF "POETIC JUSTICE "! 😇
🖤
Yes, indeed
💡
Damn
💯💯💪🏾💪🏾
She checked his ass with love and made him open his mind and think. “Do you know that our people was sold on Auction Blocks”. That’s all she had to say that one powerful statement. Pac let out tears of pain. He was fighting against the world. The pain that only black men can shed. I had plenty of those moments in my early twenties. That inner rage and hurt..
When she said that I felt it ..
@@YoungSimba4040 yeah man it was that powerful. I’ve never even heard anybody say it before. Civil rights leaders, church pastors, college professors nobody..
I almost cried when she said that. Well put man. Well said
@@countrykang1996 Thanks Mike, people don't understand how powerful communication is.
Lack of love usually shows itself as anger. I can feel you Pac. Rest in Peace.
and by the time i watch this these two heroes are gone. And It is not surprising that Tupac cried. here is the thing: if you are a tupac fan, you know well he was the biggest softie in the world.one day he said" I am so sensitive, that is why I am harsh..because i am sensitive...well,RIP to my two loves,Maya and Pac
exactly big mouth even bigger heart
Yeap. Thats my favorite tupac quote/line etc etc everrr. That one and the one when (shock G) told the story about what tupac told the judge in court. Go search shock g tupac story. You can FEEL that story like u was there when pac said it. Aka a real dude
❤️❤️
czcams.com/video/YPj8l9uFl6k/video.html watch tupac old interview.why he wore earring on his right ear and talk with feminine mannerism? how he went from ballerina to gangsta really quick 🤔🤔🤔
Rest in power Dr. Angelou!
👍👍👍
Greg Fields Rest in What?! What is this barbaric, degenerate ignorant analphabetic fake cool expression! And You don't need to tell her how or where to rest. SHE WILL tell you!!
I learned a long time ago that people seeking attention will hijack conversations for their own agenda. So on that note I'll allow to dwell in your narcissism without my encouragement.
Very well written this time. But just as inept for meaning and other things.
Greg Fields R.I.P. in power Tupac Shakur too don’t forget they both were important
Pac did a track in tribute to her. "Still I rise" is one of her most famous poems and Pac did his own personal version of "Still I rise" and his opening verse is one of the hardest rap verses of all time. Not because it's vulgar but because of it's depth.. In one verse he outlines his life in a way that only he could do it.
Love that song
i bet tupac changed a little bit after this conversation.
He was having an everyday scuffle and she reminded him of his destiny. Must of been jarring
about face,so I wonder if there's any truth to him wanting to leave death row, or am I just reaching?.
100%
rouen prescod Yeah, several people say so. And with all of their stories of him overlapping and not lining up, that’s one story that is held up by most people.
@@marioluvian4682 yeah like bro was a phenomenal mind but at the sa time to be in your early twenties and to be thought of as the messiah of your community anyone would have found this jarring
R.I.P to both of these influences. They are both legends.
"I don't know 6 pac," lol wow!! she spoke the language of his spirit and calm him down. My God we all need balance..
Rest Peacefully Dr.Angelou and Tupac
I think that this woman is one of the greatest people to ever walk the earth. I'am in my tub listing to her word's and, it bring's me to tear's because I 'am not living right and, I no I can do better. Her word 's are even stronger today as they were when she was here. To all people keep her WORD'S ALIVE and, she will never die .
Levett Goodwin YES I AGREE 100% PERCENT WITH YOU SHE'S ONE OF A KIND
Levett Goodwin Dr. Angelou was not only a Literary Titan, she will always be a Supernova to me. RIP My Spiritual Queen Mother ♡☆♡☆♡
Thank you for your honesty shows how great you are as well they all did it for us let's do it for them. U ok
preach, oh lord preach.
Thank you
What Pac was dealing with in the industry Maya Angelou could never convey. But I'm glad she felt validated in bringing him to tears. One minute it's up to the youth to be radical and CHANGE the repeated history, in another we're the cause of it. He loved the black woman and there is no question to THAT fact.
Don't believe the hype it wasn't some east coast west coast bullshit. It truly wasn't
He cried because he knew the truth. She as well. When she said that, he felt the relief of someone understanding him as many didn't understand him. Remember who Pac was BEFORE Deathrow. He was post Black Panther Party. He knew what we went through and people then, just like now, forgot that. All he wanted to do was help change the world. Remember he said, he may not change the world but hopefully he would be the spark to someone who did. Some of his cries went unheard. It gets deeper though. Especially how Deathrow was a cover for his image. But I'll let people figure that out on their own. Cuz I'm feeling a bit like Pac right now and I know people wont listen.
#wakeup
I hear you
She sounds like an angel every time she talks.
R.I.P Maya and Tupac. We miss the both of you in the absence of madness but you are both in a peaceful place. We love you, both.
Stop this madness killing our music we need to rise up New Black Panthers.
I almost cried when she began the story of talking to PAC.. she is an Angel. Truly we should be praying to our ancestors when we need prayer and blessings..
When she said Did you know our people stood auction block? I literally cried, and I understood why Tupac Shakur cried as well Maya Angelo was a treasure. May she rest in peace.
2pac made the album and song "Still I Rise" remembering his encounter with Maya embodying Maya's "And Still I Rise" poem.
Oh yea you are right I remember that
Tupac is a unique guy there is no one like him
Exactly
Look at the way he's sitting. He's enthralled!
Yup
i wish i had a chance to meet her
c gray Me too. And while we can't do so, we CAN learn from her and emulate her. :D
k jay me too
Same! I told myself when I was younger I will meet her if it was the last thing I ever do. Sadly she died before that could happen
What she said to him was not only the truth but it was extremely important. I'm sure her words meant the world to him. Rest in peace Maya and Tupac.
this joint made me tear up.
Same here. I felt so sad because two people are gone.
I read the comments just to see if someone else felt the same.
He understood . From the heart and felt all their pain. I'm glad to have heard this interview.
They are both in heaven!! I'm glad janet is still here!!!
Every "Young Man" and every "Young Woman" is not required to work with intense difficulty and/or diligence.
Maya Angelou gave Tupac Shakur respect during one of his most [self-]disrespectful moments.
That decision caused that change.
She was a spiritual blessing that made people souls heal
Dr. A.: "When was the last time someone told u how important u r ?"
"He wept"....and so did I....😢as that question dropped....
RIP to 2pac & dr.angelou
The fact that she told him he was important without knowing who he was is so profound.
Lmao.."I didnt know who was"..The " you are important" was her message to every young black man....stop trying to add to the myth
She even had a great sense of humour. "I don't know 6 PAC". And hey can we take a moment to appreciate Janet's beauty.
What a great mother to have.
This woman's words never cease to stop me in my tracks. Thank you Dr. Angelou for all you have left behind.
please a movie about maya angelou!!!
delmas samba "I know why the caged bird sings" is a book and a movie about Dr Angelou that She wrote and produced.
A GOOD ELDERY PERSON MAYA ANGELOU WAS. SHE GIVE TUPAC ENCOURGEMENT. R.I.P. MAYA ANGELOU FOR KEEPING IT REAL.
I remember the first time I heard this woman's voice . I stopped and had to listen. I didn't understand , but she spoke to my heart . I listened, everything she spoke . She always had a message, always had something to give to the generations of children who would listen . She made an impact in my life . May you rest in peace.
Truly inspirational woman. The likes of her generation is all but lost now just the memories R.I.P
Rest in Peace Dr. Angelou. The world lost greatness today.
One of the best poets, to date
It takes real compassion to break through anger like that. Compassion that Pac didn't have for himself.
