An example of setting healthy boundaries! I respect Dion Sanders for separating the individual reporter from the company. His response was professional and he role modeled how handle an issue. He set a boundary and remained respectful. That's what you do as a coach that rears young minds through athletics.

I wish Shannon Sharp would have done his research like you did before putting out a false narrative on nightcap, stating that Coach was upset about a ranking. Especially since he has a close relationship with Coach Prime. There was reports about a deal gone bad with CBS that came out right after the interview took place. So if some of the fans knew that, then Shannon sharp should have known something more then us because of their relationship. I think Shannon owes Coach Prime some restitution.

@@TRELL3132 it was stated on a podcast that there was a deal between Coach prime and CBS. And that Coach Prime did his part and CBS didn’t do their part. And that podcast aired right after that press conference. But Shannon was still wrong for saying that Coach was mad about a ranking when it wasn’t even that. That’s the main point of my comment.

Shannon reply “Yes”. The receipts are right there and Shannon said what he said and there is no denying it. He should have called time to ask what was going on, especially if this is your friend. Or not talked about it all.

We had the opportunity to make a long lasting impact on HBCU football and decided to go in another direction. He did what was best for him and his family, so the racism narrative is hard for me to get on board.

Coach Prime had an agreement with JSU that if he got above a certain number of individuals in the stands, he will receive a percentage of all of those over that certain number. So the math was not mathing. If you remember shortly after Coach Prime left the university president was removed.
I'll back Deion here 110%. I've known (by being a fan) of Deion ever since he was in minor baseball league playing for the AC Yankees watching and meeting him weekly. Even back then he was an outspoken guy BUT loved supporting the youth of America, no matter the color. He is now, as he was 40 years ago. And to me, that solid character. Anyone that doubts his character or intentions clearly doesn't know the man. I saw him grow up in life and become a mentor to so many young kids. So if he has beef with CBS, then its damn well meaningful and righteous.

Agreed, SA 💯 Prime was transparent and respectful of the CBS reporter so I took no issue with his decision. Knowing now his reason behind that decision, I’d like to know “why” the story was taken from the other (black) reporter or at least the reason according toto CBS 🤷🏼♀️
That reporter has nothing to do with that and he has no connections to any of those people. That reporter is some local little reporter who is just trying to do his job dieon just wants attention.

sanders never said that was the reason, we are just assuming it was. until he makes a statement as to why then we are all assuming and the bigoted people of both side will claim that race was the reason. one side is as bad as the other when it comes to this. maybe he made a deal with cbs knowing the attitude and biases of that reported and felt betrayed when CBS chose to break the agreement and it had nothing to do with race. I would be will to tell people certain aspest of an event that could cause ne harm if they are someone i trust that i would not be willing to tell someone that i know would twist my words to smear me just to make money or hurt me. Come own guys use common sense when dealing with things during your every day life and try not to let your biases get in the way of rational thought. it will serve you well.

If you are going to be kat Williams about then stand on it. CBS isn't just a broadcast company. They have skin in the game. They pay for access and media rights. They pay for airing rights. So be clear and ssay your peace. Otherwise it's messy and you are both a bad bet and poor investment. Is not better for your program to not alienate investors? If the logic is to b3 passive aggressive as to not burn bridges then why make a scene at all? You are mad at middle management's handling of something. If it came from higher up then speak on that. Don't hurt your program.

Sanders did not broadcast the specific reason for his decision and informed the reporter of his decision. Nothing wrong with either. your characterization of these events and attacking those involved are the problem that our society has faced for years and it has gotten worse over the last decade. i have never been a fan of sanders as a player or a coach even though i have respected his skill as a player and his involvement with the youth community but i do not like his personality. but when people start smearing anyone with lies, then i like anyone with decent morals will stand up for him weather i like him or not.
