Caister, Great Yarmouth (UK), was the place to be in the late 70s and early 80s. Teds, rockers and rebels alike, all together at one festival, no hard feelings, no fights, no envy. This tape was made when each and everybody just loved rock 'n' roll and everyone was having a good time. And experiencing Ray Campi, Matchbox, Freddy 'Fingers' Lee, Flying Saucers and Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers and Bill Haley on one festival was quite unique... - Hudba

AH!!!! Brings it all back, Confederate hat, lumberjack shirt, donkey jacket, steel toe cap miners boots with the steel polished like chrome, bleached jeans, and bullet belt, Confederate flags everywhere you look, pints of beer and rocknroll music,1979 at the Greenside Inn in Edinburgh, rocknroll night every saturday night, great times and ended much to quickly.

Punk was at its height at this time, but it wasn't nearly as exciting as the rockin' scene of the period was, as this clip clearly shows. I started going to rock and roll with the big Wembley bash of '72 as a young teen but the period '77-''80 was just outstanding, certainly in London and I guess elsewhere in the country. Memories of the Bobby Sox, Rockin' Rex, Flash, the Royalty, Jack Geach (gulp!), etc. Would I go back in time to then? Not 'arf!
Same here I have great memories of the Royalty in Southgate Shades in manor house and Bumbles if I had my youth again I wouldn't change a thing great times great memories

Look at the Ted and the Smoothie face up to one another at 2:05. If you then check out the CZcams video of Cavan doing Teddy Jive at the same show, you can see it boil over between these two until the bouncers chuck them out. Lol!!!

Realise u dont want a punk saying it-but u got a storming great tune there...if that was a real bass slapping away in the background.
It wasn't...it was an electric bass, the slapping was done by handclapping and a bit of rimshot drums
