Quick and easy Korean cucumber salad (Oi muchim)

Hello, everyone!
Today I tried very simple and easy Korean side dish, Cucumber Mix (Oi Muchim)
[Ingredients]
4 cucumbers, Salt 1T, Half Onion, 1~2 cloves of Garlic
[Recipe]
- Slice cucumbers thinly (about 5~10mm)
- Mix with salt and leave it for about 10~15mins
- Slice onion similar thinness to cucumber and mince the garlic
- After 10~15mins wash cucumbers slightly and drain water
- Add soy sauce(1T), chilly flakes(1T), sugar(1T) and vinegar(0.5T) then mix well - Jak na to + styl

Can I use the big cucumber?
Yes you can, only thing is sometimes it’s not as crunch as smaller ones so if you don’t mind a little bit less crunch, it’s absolutely fine to use big ones. 😀

What is the brand name of the chili flakes
You can use any kind of Korean chilli powder (or chilli powder from any country if it has smaller grains with no seeds), for example, I could find some in Amazon. You can use any of these.

Why would they remove cucumber water? Isn't it good?
It becomes mushy quite quickly and you have to finish them pretty quickly say within a couple of days.
If you remove the water, you can keep them longer while also keeping the crunchy texture 😋
