I saw the first salvo in question and thought: "yeah, I mean, its rng, there are good and bad numbers..." but after the fourth I totally agree... and the end was just icing on the cake of turd. So happy to just watch WoWs... that definitely keeps me from installing and playing it whenever I get weak and crave a bit of ship action. So, thanks for your service Flambass!

I quit playing 2 years ago, because of RNG protecting brainlets like the Ranger; people sailing broadside in straight lines, only to survive because, reasons.
I quit the game like 2 or 3 years ago when i tried to shot broadside cruiser from 5km twice and didn’t score one citadel and torp me and take me down

Ah yes. When you have 300 hits with HE on enemy DDs, BBs, and cruisers and have had zero fires but the enemy carrier strafes you 2 times for double fires each time.
RNG decides who wins. Lots of times it doesn't matter what you do.

Don't forget, you could be a shima. .and RNG will dictate how much HP your torpedos have.
So a single salvo from a desmoines HE shot, could destroy ALL your torpedos in a single salvo and leave you completely out of the game.. all by pure RNG values.
@@CesarinPillinGaming I just had that exact moment in wows legends. Chose shima for some therapy gameplay and got spotted by a random unspotted ships radar. Bout 10 seconds later a conqueror HE salvo comes in and narrowly misses the midships area. Yet despite having taken no damage I lost 2 thirds of my torpedo firepower permanently and broke an engine.

Just happened to me. The cv didn't leave me alone till I was sunk and while he was on his way back to me I was getting sub pings left and right. Fun and engaging!!!

Yes the game is rigged, sometimes u can't win a game no matter how hard u try, your shells miss easily while the other sides hit perfectly, it is the most annoying part of this game, its been that way for a few years though lately its been getting worse
Even when the shells look perfect.. you get the "shells landing short". by a lot more in the past year.

ive had 12 gun salvos miss a broadside stationary target at 4km, its ridiculous, thats one of the main reasons i prefer playing dd's, even with all the shit they have to deal with.

Vision is OP. They have by far the most impact and everyone knows and targets them.
Except for the end, everything else looked normal to me. The Omaha was the odd lucky hit, no skill involved there. It's become a very much noticeable thing over the past years. You can not punish broadsides like you used to. I refuse to blame my own aiming skills for that. If anything, they should improve over time. But no matter what I aim at, broadsides do not matter anymore. Gunnery is beyond broken, the current state is way beyond "just bad rng mate".
A whole lot of bugs are known for *years* with WG unwilling and unable to fix them, and who knows what else is broken that we didn't find yet.
If I remember correctly, Ranger's armor is basically paper, so if you switched to HE, you probably could have gotten citadels with that.
Yesterday i detonated too. But the other player was so kind to write "deto flag nooob!" in chat... I love the community of WoWs. They are so funny.
I have found that it is much easier to citadel the Ranger with H.E. The A.P. just overpens
Mhmm, the Ranger is armoured with paper, from memory I am pretty sure DDs can HE citadel it, so firing large calibre armour piercing and expecting citadels is a bit daft; the detonation had me keeled over in with laughter though 🤣

After the CV rework I noticed I was getting focused by the CVs early in a lot of games. One game about two years ago with two CVs on red and 4 min into the game watched them fly planes over other ships and target me until I was dead. I ask in chat what the hell I did to them to deserve getting focused. One of the enemy CV captains said back in chat you had the best win record on the team so we wanted to delete you first. Set my stats to hidden after that game and it reduced me getting focused early 90% by CVs

Nagato was 25m longer than Colorado class. 7m longer than the not built South Dakota class. NC, Iowa and Montana were longer. The British Tiger class was about the same and the Nelson a smidge longer.

I've played the Nagato since CBT. One of my favorite BB's. Have over 800 games in her, and pushing my nose through torps is something I do regularly since low tier CV players tend to drop nose on. I've been torp detonated 'once' maybe 5 years ago. This is totally fishy. Also, over pens continually to statistically rise in my games. Meanwhile, that poor Omaha got deleted easily, so lets not dismiss how much fun that guy had, and yet if he had been in an Atago those shells would have all been over pens or ricochets.

Carriers where definitely the largest threat in sea battles. However they where also the most vulnerable. One shell was enough to disable a CV for quite a while with all the ordnance and fuel out in the open.

Cvs are so broken. They've got infinite planes. Your AA does jack shit and this video just sums it up. Whenever I see a CV in the match I'm playing, I know it'll be disappointing. They definitely have a different kind of rng than the rest
They hit the planes that are not diving for you, but the 3 incoming planes, well your AA crew just decided not to shoot them, they are the least dangerous *cough cough*.
Thats how the CV gets a guaranteed strike.
In WWII, torpedo bombers were sitting ducks.
And the new meta is even amazing, pilots and AA crews go temporarily blind (not spotting but then you also can't shoot them). And if you get focused by a CV, even though you lose AA turrets, your AA will get stronger.
More magic added to the game, as if the Harry potted torpedoes are not enough magic for 1 game.

Oklahoma... bot macro right there. means the other half of that "Player" has eyes in your minimap... That'd be the multiboxers interface.
Load the disk in the DVD-rom, launch the client on two virtual machines, queue up the throw away boat to team B, the boat you're grinding to team A. (Like a training room fight) and then queue up for battle. Up to you if you want to run the AI macro or not, but it comes on the disk along with the "patch"... Legit the only reason WG needs to spin up your DVD/CD drive at game launch, considering everything's gonna be on your hard drive unless your running a patch disk...
Oh, as for me calling out the Oklahoma as the macro... yeah... 5:55 Oklahoma gets spotted, takes the Oklahoma 35 seconds to register movement (Spinning up from full stop to full ahead), magically it comes to life and is moving by 6:29. It won't fire until it is within about 15 degrees of broadside, and then it will miss leading on the target by a boat length... AI macro's "triggers" being met...

The torpedo spamming DD's were not realistic, but the art and a fair amount of attention to detail made up for it. And then carriers. I stopped playing when "never weres with 1960's guns in unlikely gun mounts were put up against 1930's designed ships.

They do, but so do IJN battleships. Specifically Fuso, Nagato and Amagi. One salvo will be okay, the next will double HE citadel a DD at 21km, the next will bracket a Kurfurst. RNG will say "Hit with half, critical strike, miss the continent, hit with half, hit with half..." If that critical strike is a dev strike, count on the rest of the match landing only 1 damage causing shell per salvo, unless you're one of 2 remaining against 6 or more.
You should have had a detonation flag and just dodged the torps....
But SERIOUSLY - I've made a few comments about you complaining on some videos, however you showed remarkable restraint here! I feel your pain. That was just ridiculous, and so dumb that even the most ardent WG fanboy should be able to see how unfair that is.
I've had plenty of these, like everyone else, I'm sure, when perfectly good looking salvos magically land either side, and the one or two shells that hit are over-pens. You are more resilient than me me (and much better) - in the last 3 months I'm playing about 80% less, the fun is hard to find...

You should have seen G4ngberang's Tiwtch yesterday: He was in a radar mino trying to kill and Essex - which had saved ALL SIX smokes for itself and used them to run away hidden while torping him - and a sub - which eventually shotgunned him. One of the strongest cruisers in the game and he could do NOTHING.

I've noticed BB detonations on the rise. I've been detonated in my Massa, Alabama, Monty, and Brandenburg this past week. Massa, Bama, and Brandenburg were all from a single aerial torpedo hit from a CV. I think Monty was from a sub torp. Bama took the toep to the rudder from dead astern and immediately detonated. I've noticed other BBs lol-sploding lately too.
And I've always thought there are hidden modifiers for certain ships they won't admit too. CVs, Russian BBs and super cruisers. I mean they say the russian bbs have squishy sides and yet I get the same effect as Flam did here. Overpens, shatters, torp pro hits.
It's an online only game - they can do whatever the frick changes they want, without doing any announcments. They do it with visible stats, undo previous submarine and CV nerfs, implement AA nerfs unnanounced too. So they're 100% doing changes to the invisible stats all the time, just to troll their playerbase.

Not all ships have viable counters, and most are indeed totally vulnerable to CVs, I agree that they've (CVs) been "over-protected" by WG BUT there's a few ships "that can kick their asses" but, they have to know how and it's not Halland (sure it has v-strong AA but overall it sucks at the AA game) Wanna teach your subscribers how to AA? Honestly, I don't think you do! SAD!

I used to teach conventional fire AA so when I joined this game years ago I took to learning AA counters very seriously, that's "my game" and I'll admit that you (Flambass) could kick my ass at everything else in this game and that your videos have taught me a hella-lot and "I THANK YOU FROM THE DEPTHS OF MY HEART for that" but... you (and almost everybody) truly sucks at the AA game. It frustrates me to witness it even on the enemy team! You can't just ignore an AA attack just as you can't give broadside to a BB or anybody for that matter, there "is" a proper counterplay!
I realize that this particular video doesn't contribute to or validate my AA statements at all but just maybe, it'll wake you up to what's possible in the AA game. Adapt or die!!!!! So be it either way!

"Once learned" Max AA Oland (with Jerzy) is the best at the AA game of any and all DDs. Go ahead and balk in ignorance! Oland is perfectly balanced between AA and Maneuverability. The AA game is "both" and one without or of lacking the other "loses". Example: AA strong Halland sucks as does very maneuverable Lightning or Heinsenyang (which outmaneuvers even a Lighting). Been there, tried them all! "Once learned"...Oland wins the AA game "dominantly"!
Maybe I should think twice about posting this or not for all the "ignorant" chicken shit name calling BS comments that I'll get (and have gotten in the past) for this.
Eff it, AA countering is viable & doable and people need to know how or at least to be made aware that "there is a way"!

I'm an Oland main, Oland isn't about farming points but rather in preventing loses by holding flanks or plugging weak holes in our defense or by purposely taking the CVs focus to free up my teammates, it's a tactical map control orientated utility DD that because of its strong AA and immunity to CV attacks is free to roam as a lone wolf when necessary, it can transit to take caps or get behind the enemy to keep them spotted and a million other etcetera's dependent of the particular scenario of events. As a result, my numbers are solid but not spectacular, but I've saved a-lot of would be otherwise lost games and have caused many wins. Defining a truly Utility DD. What Oland is and who I am as a teammate, I don't do fishbowls!

Both subs and carriers are incredibly difficult to counter, and with torpedo focus, your repair party is going to get overwhelmed so fast. Making ship types you can’t counter effectively is just peak game balance, I’ll tell ya…
I'm convinced that this game is rigged. So many complained about balancing etc that Wargaming took it appon themselves to make the salves as they please.. I get this alot and wished that I had recorded it and now you have.. heres proof.... thanks Flambas.

My god Flambass, I love your content I truely do… but there was a very simple solution to this situation, I would not be caught dead without a detonation signal on, I put them on EVERY ship I play to save me the humiliation of exiting the game early… also poking the bear didn’t help the situation either 🤣
Subs going faster than subs of today, cvs so bloody hard to destroy, but I still play this game I dont know why. Oh btw bbs sitting on the fence giggling at the silly cruisers and dds lining up like an arcade shooting gallery

I've also been singled out and focused on many times when in a BB by 1-2 CV's and other ships in games. Could be the bad AA on a lone ship - or I sank them and a few more the game or so previously and they remembered me? But, as you are a lot more well known than I am at pulling games out of the hat at the end - He knew who you were, or was told by someone in his team to try and get rid of you early on . . . Remember though, it's only a bunch of free pixels - so nothing at all to worry about . . .
