Great job! For those born in the 80's, it's one of the childhood's cars. I'm from Bucharest Romania, and there is a lady who owns one the same color, but it's completely new and mint condition. When she drives it in weekends, it looks like she just came from the dealership.

I wish i could do a full restoration of my father's w123 she has a lot of rust but the engine runs perfectly. BTW NICE JOB i realy like it i hope to keep this car for ever!!!!

We don’t live in a perfect world, so it can’t always be perfect. Just got to work with what you’ve got. You didn’t hide away from refurbishing the alloys yourself, you did what we all do and broke out the rattle cans. Kudos my man on a great vid and project! This car comes from Mercedes greatest era. Late 70's to late 80's.
All of the cars from that era were Nuclear Proof.
My 1st car in 1994, was a 1978 W123 240D, 4 speed manual. It was slow as molasses, but it got me and my mates all over Europe, on a 2 month road trip that I will remember fondly until I die. I owned that car for 3 years, bought it for 750 pounds, sold it for 1100 pounds, and had it been a LHD, I would probably still be driving it now.
It was perfectly reliable, I serviced it 5 times due to me doing over 50k miles on it in those 3 years, beyond obvious perishables like tires and brakes, no repairs needed.
I loved that car.
That looks stunning, a testament to hours of graft and honest work, worth a sub just for this.
