In 1960s/70s, saw my fair share of upmarket houses/flats (incl. my parents' flat in Pimlico) and the walls had different colours, the furniture different colours, not gaudy or flashy but elegant. For example, the walls in my parents' dining room was cardinal red with darkwood table and other furniture, and chairs with green upholstery; drawing room yellow walls, sofas and chairs, providing warm light in the English climate; and the bedrooms light green, and everywhere colourful Persian carpets. Now, it's all either white or shades of grey, like a hospital or public offices. Wonder how long this unimaginative and unpleasant trend will last.
I think they do these monochromatic beige style interiors to not offend a prospective buyer...but I'm with you, a home with personality, aesthetic and vision is much more interesting and often more worldy and grand...💯

I agree. I dislike these monochromatic grey/beige/white shades. Don't think it would take much talent to come up with this type of decoration. Looks like an office. Even the sofas and chairs look uncomfortable. Its not a home; instead its trying to be a showpiece, but failing because it has no character or soul. Whatever happened to colour, texture, pattern, corners and pieces of beauty and delight etc?

It's called minimalism and it's a reaction to the past's burst of color, which was a trend as well. Anyway, this is not yet a home. This is just a house. I am sure that when someone buys it (assuming it's not going to just be a vacation home) you'll get to see the owner's personality since they will be putting their own artworks and furniture, or maybe even changing the color of the walls, etc. to their liking.

It's Knightsbridge after all. Not too overpriced. Can definitely get more in the countryside for less. One of the better designed and refurbished properties. Nice seemless cabinetry. Careful not to break a nail.

Nice reception/dining room as you just come in but for £14.5m the Kitchen is a big disappointment & the dining area is to small and cramp. Nice modern and good colour scheme throughout. Bedrooms are okay but nothing that really stands out, pretty basic bathrooms apart from the main one in the main bedroom.

I used to live in an apartment next to this apartment, and I witnessed the development of its luxurious restoration and several apartments next to it during the days of Corona. I was about to finish my doctorate degree, so I was spending time looking at the apartments and enjoying the beauty of the place. I was imagining if I owned one of those apartments and filled it with Harrods products. Haha, congratulations to whoever owns it. now🌹
Some people have mentioned how “overpriced” this is and how much more you can get somewhere else but like most things in life that purely depends what you are looking for. I would hate a larger home on multiple levels, miles from anything. This place would be ideal for me and my OH as we don’t have a large family or friend circle, are both introverts and like knowing we’re just a stones throw from everything we could possibly need. ❤
It's an investment property where you would rent out or sell all or most of the apartments in the building. And honestly, the rental or sale of the units would help cover the costs.

It is probably starting to be an outgoing trend. I remember gray coming into fashion in the mid 1990s. Just like clothing. Just keep everything and in about 30 years it will be in style again. 😊

Nicely done - I would suggest that if you know the interior designers, find out the names/styles (sculptures, chandeliers, floor/marble origin). Again, as before, being super picky, but there aren't too many high-quality property sites in the UK - so show them how it's done.

Very overpriced for £14.5 mil. You can get some very nice freehold townhouses, half the price and twice the size.
I wonder about underfloor heating: it can’t get very hot, because you have to be able to walk on it in bare feet. So will it be able to heat the place sufficiently during a cold winter? The high ceilings add to the problem because there is more space to heat.
I also notice there are no dressing tables in the bedrooms, so you have to apply make-up, blow-dry your hair, etc. standing up in the bathroom. I like my dressing table.

Sub Zero makes some of the BEST refrigerators/freezers. They work beautifully and last forever.
The finishes and joinery are faultless. You can warm up the space with some texture and warmer tones in the accessories. Beautifully executed!
Does it have AC integrated? Very important during the warmer months!

I think the only down side is its facing south, you wont get much sunlight especially during winters. look at the buildings across the street, they are all beautifully drenched in sunlight.

Sub zero probably the most expensive refrigeration money can buy. My £200 hotpoint does the same job
Sub-Zero is the American high line of built in refrigeration, they also own Wolf cooking appliances and Cove dishwashers.
It feels so cold and sterile. Reminds me of going to the dentist. (I once went to a really fancy dentist that had marble floor everywhere, fortunately it was free...)
@@daverichardson8918 Does your Hotpoint have dual compressors? Sub Zero refrigerators are designed to last 20 or more years and more important is that you can take one out from the 1960's and put in a new one of the same dimensions.

First of all Hannah is amazing!!!...So incredibly professional and likeable....Secondly, this apartment is so calming and chic in Knightsbridge!!
And lastly, I hate to do this, but do you remember the recent apartment that was listed at 15.75 million dollars that had the strange upstairs loft kitchen and the strange loft bathroom shown on this channel?....Well compare that to this amazing home and wonder what the other seller was thinking.
This place is beautiful without any bad design weirdness. Hats off to the other presenters though for trying their best to make that other horrible place seem worthwhile.

That kichen is ridicolously small for the size of the apartment. In my opinion the whole place lacks a bit of colour and life. It's almost sterile looking, like some kind of a waiting area at a very expansive private doctors practice 😀

What did you like about the kitchen is this Simplicity first grade materials like marble full drawers but I know commitment to a particular stylus just very abstracted snot not really hasn't got frames or anything it's just you could think you're walking into a walk-in robe

Subzero high end refrigerator Motor on the top so you can remove it to get them in small elevators and have a technician put the motor back on once in the apartment very popular in New York City they come in cabinet depth

As the lift door opens, the wall in front is empty n flat. It's an ordinary home. The first impression is critical in setting the mood n expectation right for the entire house luxury positioning.

That's one super apartment, top notch specs and design worth every penny of the asking price. The only thing I don't like? The black door handles, would look far nicer with brushed satin silver or even a pale rose gold finish, think IPHONE colour palette apart from black and you get the idea. Ok,now let me just go and check my Euromillion lotto ticket!🤣

You are comparing your situation as well as the average Joe's to that of a billionaire or any other high net worth individuals where that kind of money is chump change,you're also forgetting that you also get a share of the freehold with that flat,not leasehold,something that's as rare as hen's tooth in that part of London! Plus you couldn't get a more prime location in London even if you tried and on top of that you get a superb balcony thrown in. Heck, I should be getting a commission for this for promoting this flat!🤣 you do get free parking, it's called a residents parking bay. Oh,and lastly that flat will be worth £30m in 10 years time and I am speaking from experience like all London property owners!🤣

All the luxury houses you show have metal and grey and black and white floors and black this and white that. This black-grey-white is that a must-have thing these days? It is like walking into a luxury death wake parlour.

I must be the only person in the world that doesn't like recessed LED strip lighting. Spotlights all the way for me! The strips make me feel like I'm on an Emirates plane, or a Big Brother/Love Island set.
Lovely tour, but I don’t like white marble especially book matched. Too bright. So I’d go for dark marble you don’t get blinded.

I don't know London prices but I'm guessing 70% of the price of this apartment is the location? It's definitely a beautiful apartment but after the dozens of videos of luxury homes and apartments I've seen on YT this one seems way overpriced.
