A very nice video, CP, but I do have some problems with it (you know ME!)… Aside from your really rather pleasant AI voice at first mispronouncing Tibetan (“TI-betan,” rather than the correct “Ti-BET-an”)… I’ve owned a copy of the W. E. Evans-Wentz translation of this book since my teens, and have kept it with me ever since, and even across universes (I am “classically” and without even any hint of apology, “Mandela Affected,” or I am, as many would doubtless express it, “crazy,” though they are wrong, and I am not!), but I have only read it “cover to cover” once. Somewhere along the line, a copy of “The Egyptian Book Of The Dead” appeared alongside it on my book shelf, and although it might have been a spiritual “aport,” I rather suspect it was actually my nephew that put it there during the period when his ancestral Catholicism was crashing and burning! But more to the point, I have issues with the true wisdom of leaving the “cycle of rebirth,” for this supposed “Nirvana”… If energy is truly, as science suggests, never lost, except as it is at times converted into matter, wouldn’t seeking this state essentially be recycling ourselves back once again to the point of ignorance and starting over once again our upward journey to “gnosis?” Did we eat all of that fruit of the “Tree of Knowledge” for nothing? I harbor a suspicion that anxiety about this very possibility, in addition to the spiritually satisfying work of “assisting other beings in their spiritual sojourns,” may be partly at the root of why so many Boddhisatvas and Avatars decline transitioning to this amorphous, being-less, and supposedly, we are told, “transcendent” state of unimaginable bliss! And I LOVE the Boddhisatvas, and “Gnostic Jesus,” the “Blessed Nazarene” (who didn’t “die for my sins,” and isn’t Yahweh’s progeny!) is my principal main influencer… And @seanrussel1242, below, with his fervent rehash of the BS of the “Children of Abraham’s” pool of “faith of our fathers” pack of lies, has a lot to learn (and he WILL!). The whole “one life to live, and then Heaven or Hell,” is the respite of their rather uncourageous minds, afraid to explore and investigate what is truly going on in this curious and misbegotten subset of creation! And BTW, Mr. Russel, if you’re going to stick to that hoary and seditious old script, isn’t there supposed to be a “Rapture,” and a “Final Day of Judgement?” And what are we being judged for? But what is a meaningful life? Is quitting your job and meditating 24/7 meaningful? Or working 24/7 so you can provide for your family? Why does that even matter since our physical bodies all die in the end. If the soul gets reborn every time then the only reason to be meaningful would be to get a better body after each rebirth, but that still doesn't answer what is considered meaningful. Oh well.
