INDO SWEDISH MULE
Hai friends let me introduce my 4th cocktail of the ongoing #absolutmashup face 2 “INDO SWEDISH MULE” as the name implies this cocktail is inspired from one of the classics #Moscomule, so here I am using a copper mug, you know copper mugs give a distinctive look and are traditional, and also have been a part of the cocktail's origin. It is also said that the taste and flavor of the drink enhances in a copper mug and gives you a cool sensation. Copper mugs help keep the temperature, flavor and aroma of the drink intact.
And within the copper mug I am doing a mashup with the Indian forgotten and sustainable three fruits syrup (Thriphala)," and it is just that: a combination of Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis), black myrobalan (Terminalia chebula), and belleric myrobalan (Terminalia belerica).
In Ayurvedic medicine, Triphala is considered a tridoshic rasayana, meaning that it has the properties to support all three doshas (air/space, fire/water, and water/earth).1 these qualities are believed to enhance strength and immunity and may be applied to the treatment of numerous health conditions. Along with Indian rooh afza , fresh strawberries , lime juice and indo Swedish favorite vodka @absolutinda makes my cocktail the perfect drink.
Here I am trying to bring the forgotten Thripha back with a novel innovative use and make a bond between India and Sweden.
INDO SWEDISH MULE
Glassware: Copper Mug
Ingredients:
Absolut blu - 60 ml
Fresh Strawberries - 3
lime juice - 15 ml
Rooh afza - 15 ml
Cranberry juice - 30 ml
Home made thriphala syrup - 15 ml
Directions,
Gently muddle the Strawberries in a shaker, combine with rest of the ingredients along with ice cubes, shake vigorously, double strain in to a copper mug and top up with crushed ice. Garnish with a fine mint spring , a fresh strawberry and a tiny lime wheel.
