Straight facts no bs, thanks for a stellar review as I’m looking for one of these. I got all the information I was looking for thanks. Doesn’t look super difficult to work on, those turbos are literally in front of your face when you take that plastic cover off.
I love the son's posture in the first part of the video! Arms folded. He's not convinced! Lol!
Thanks for posting, I am considering an a8/s8 and found this very helpful. Good luck with making it an ultimate sleeper.
I had this model too, fully loaded. An exceptional vehicle with no issues, good luck! 👍🏼
I have about the same car just in the short wheel base. A brake job diy realistically costs about $1200 all around with good quality parts. I’m at 110,000 now and fortunately no serious issues. Keeping up with the preventative maintenance makes a huge difference. Suspension rattles at 100k+ miles is pretty accurate, but no air ride issues. The SWB is the same platform as the S8 so it’s a bit more nimble than the L. Overall great car, I don’t regret buying it. I’m the second owner since 35k miles and 2017.
Owend a d3 a8l. They are challenging for the first time but very capable. Everything you said were facts. Keep up on maintenance and she will treat you very well. Its a land yacht that is great for long trips.
Thanks for sharing 👍.
I’ve got a 2013 S8, I love the car. It’s an exceptional car, I do my own breaks too. Not going to lie thinking of getting rid of my air suspension. Not sure how much it is.
Awesome content. We need more. Enjoying my D4 a lot. The transmission is the best for the money, period.
Thanks for watching. We will get some more d4 content out in the near future.
Im looking at a 2015 a8L 4.0t ..video was helpful had no idea about the recall and then turbo was my biggest concern
Glad you stopped by! It is good to hear it was helpful. Good luck with the search!
I got a 2015 4.0t and I love it had it for a year
nice!
I've owned a 2015 A8l 3.2l for about 5 years now. I've had the brakes and rotors replaced and still have a shudder coming from the front driver wheel. I've replaced all of the wheel bearings. Those P0 tires that they come with are loud!
With all that said, I do love the car. I am looking forward to your maintenance and mods for this car. I have searched for years for things I can do to it and haven't found much other than putting S8 parts on the car. I do have a component to add Android auto and carplay to the car while keeping the OEM look. You got a new subscriber from me.
Hi there. I have the same car. What infotainment did you buy for Apple Carplay? Thank you
@@carlosalejandro7315 Below is the video that I will be using to install my unit but there is also details about the unit that I bought.

Ive heard about those P0's. I had a VW that came with Continental ContiPros and those are some of the hardest tires on the market; helps a lot with mileage but stopping is another story. Softer compounds are advised.
Were you able to get rid of your shudder??
how is having 3.2 fsi in a8 d4 possible?
Hello…I am in forest lake Mn… I have a 2013 Audi A8 4.0T and I got an APR stage 1 tune and WOW. It is one fast rocket ship . I had the tune done at Further performance shop in Minneapolis . Love your videos.
Awesome! Appreciate the support and you checking in!
How was your experience there? I'm thinking of getting my A6 tuned by them.
@@JSAFIXIT it was great ! They are experts on Audi vehicles.
Hello again… I had a Stage 1 tune done on my car before my turbo screen recall, so I called Audi and told them I had a stage1 tune and I was still able to get my turbo screen recall done, which I was surprised to hear.😊
That is great feedback to share. What dealer?!?!
@@PerformanceOnWheels I had it done at Mpls Audi .
Thank you, everything you said is kind of common for used vehicles. Considering an S8 because of the engine as well. And yes, depreciation will definitely help me with the purchase
Same here did you go with s8 or A8
@@highkinggames748 actively looking for an S8
@@esan0715 why’d you make that choice
Literally just bought this exact car yesterday god best car I’ve ever had been wanting one for almost a year
Awesome! Welcome.
Im getting one in the next couple of days im 22 years old . It has been my dream car . These nights i ve been looking at videos that scared me off , but the dream is so big im still going for it . Hopefully it will be good 💯
@@user-ld4dd5rd7j I’m 21 and I’m driving mine Cruisin as we speak definitely by the warranty my engine light came on in the first two hours of ownership
@@user-ld4dd5rd7jhey man I'm the exact same age, did you end up getting it? Enjoy it?
So I just got a 2015 Audi A8 4.0T with 49,500 miles 3 weeks ago. Initially, the car was super smooth in the past 2 weeks. However, I noticed a shuddering and steering wheel vibration within the past week. This only occurs when doing turns at slow speeds; it feels like the Quattro system is the culprit because it feels as tho it’s coming from the four wheels and is more noticeable during cold starts. The car is currently at the dealership, and I’m being told that’s “normal.” My previous car was an Audi A6 prestige with about 45,000 miles, and I never felt any shuddering when doing turns at low speeds. How’s your vehicle when doing any turns?
Great video! Just purchased a 2015 S8. Motor mounts already replaced along with upper and lower control arms. Audi obviously recommends their specific oil, do you use that or a commercial brand?
Looking forward to more content on this car and how much would translate to my S8.
Congrats on the purchase! S8 😍😍. Stay tuned.
Just bought a 2015 S7, so same engine. Looking forward to your videos about it. Mine has 60k miles and when I scanned it, it said my motor mount should be replaced. I saw some DIY guides for the 3.0T. Have you looked into it? Is it similar for the 4.0T is as far as replacing the mount?
I did read into it a bit ago. I remember reading the front passenger side is typically the one that needs to be replaced. I also recall it being a pain, just because of the amount of stuff that needs removal, but still doable. I plan to do some suspension stuff and plugs in a few thousand miles. I will check it out when it's on the lfit next.
keep posting about this car I'm look at one with 75,000 miles on it and I really want to buy this car.
More to come in a few weeks. Stay tuned! Be patient as well. The used car market continues to crash. Just be willing to travel!
Same man. With 75k, you should be getting it at a great price but pleeeease be thorough with how the maintenance was handled. I've heard of new used purchases costing big $$$.
is the diesel a better service car?
Wow I feel good I paid the same price for my 2015 in 2019 with same miles had the recall done and pvc valve.
Inflation sucks.
How many miles on this one if you dont mind ? And are u happy with it so far overall , thank you in advance . Great video
52k currently. I purchased with 41k. Yes I am happy and do enjoy the car.
@9:50 geez that oil is dark.
5k
@@PerformanceOnWheels wow. That's a major difference between my little '18 2.0t Passat R-Line 5K and that monster 4.0T powerplants 5K. So basically more oil changes. That 5K would come quick in Ga where everything is so spread out and lane changing is always a competition...sigh.
Brand new turbos at 40K miles from a well-maintained car?
Common issue, it was a recall. During inspection on oil filter recall if turbos are not perfect and show any flaws, a good dealer will fight for new ones. The turbos are warranty because of this 10 year 120k.
The son is a punk. He needs to just sit back and listen.
Finally!!! Someone other than me sees it.
