This is spot on! For two years, I’ve been mentally stuck. My dad died (he wasn’t in my life) and I alone, without my family helping, traveled to get his remains and bring them home with me. I held a memorial for him. It has been the hardest two years of my life. I’ve felt very alone in this journey and haven’t had answers to much regarding him and him leaving me as a little girl. But I am so proud of myself for how I acted in love in that moment and went to get him because he’s with me forever now and I have peace knowing that I did right by him. In this journey, I’ve learned that people aren’t willing to be there for me when I’ve abandoned myself many times in the past to be there for them. This is a season of healing for me and realizing that I am a priority. I’ve sought out grief therapy and have begun picking up the pieces again and am so proud of the light I’ve carried.
I understand how you feel , as someone who took care of both parents until they passed I know how difficult it can be .. but they won't be there forever and you will find that you have peace of mind knowing you did your best for them , I can now enjoy living my best life without feeling any regrets .. but if things are getting too difficult look for things like respite care to give you a much needed break once in a while
@@mandyrayner783 it's 24/7 and I am their only caregiver. I have been doing this for six years. And I agree it is exhausting. And they are getting more home and bed bound. We cannot afford outside help or to put them in a senior living facility, too expensive. So it is on me.
Thank you. It’s been 6 weeks today since my husband passed. I believe he was getting dementia or the Lewy Body Disease like his father had. And that pushed him to do what he did. He took care of his father for 4 years daily. He hid it so well until he couldn’t no more
Thank goodness, I have PTSD as a result of 15 years of intimidation, lies, threats & actual battery which has left me disabled & still mourning for my partner who died prematurely due to similiar. I can only thank my ex medical collegues, friends of many years & neighbours for their constant support and for backing up all our evidence, and secure storage. Thank goodness also for my training within the medical sector & checking things several times independantly. Never thought our research would also throw up a huge scenerio of what has happened W/wide over the last 5 years,planned during the 70's and ongoing today. People have had their lives completely chenged & are now more scared than ever. This is why someone needs to stand up and tell the truth. Kindness is NOT weakness, we all should strive to treat others like we want to be treated ourselves. RIP WT

I understand. I did the same with my parents and it’s so emotionally draining. Please be kind to yourself and do some nice things for yourself.
