  • It's not everyday that you get a phone call from your high school principal requesting that you produce a documentary of his 47 year career in education. I am proud and honored to have done just that for one of the most inspirational and respected men I have ever met. This man devoted his entire life to the Aldine Independent School District as teacher, assistant principal, principal and director of safe and secure schools.
Please acknowledge this man and honor him with your comments here and visit his website at www.drclarencejohnson.com to order his books to learn more about him and his career.

Class of 88 - I knew Mr. Johnson during my time at A.C.E. He was always kind and tough, but fair. Good guy. At my graduation ceremony, he said that when we came to him 4 years ago, we were all prairie chickens and that over the course of 4 years, we had all become beautiful swans. I always thought that was funny, but that was Mr. Johnson.

A man worthy of praise that's for sure! I'm class of '95. I was on the Principal's Dean List that Dr. Johnson created. He was Clarence Johnson to us back then. I graduated Magna Cum Laude 5th in my class under his and his staff's guidance and influence. And I could've ranked higher had it not been for the tragic death of my best friend during highschool. I started skipping last period because I was too depressed to handle it. Dr. Johnson had noticed the drop in my performance and asked me what was wrong. By the time I told him, it was already too late for my grades to get improved. However, he told me if I had only come talked to him sooner, we could've worked something out. That alone meant the world to me. I will never forget his genuine care and support! God bless you Dr. Clarence Johnson! Glad to see you are doing well!

Mr Johnson, my man! So glad to see you doing well, you might remember me and Trey Stash, class of 97.. You even mentioned us in the graduation commencement speech about how short we both were and how we always got sent to the office together but you knew we were good kids LOL. This video made my day, keep on keepin' on Mr Johnson! And yes, that cafeteria is way different!
