    Walked away from God
Returned 16 years later keeping the weekly Sabbath and Feasts of the Most High.
What a horrible disconnect to not keep the feasts and commandments how beautiful they are. HalleluYah.

You can keep it but if you treat others that don't as if they are disobeying God then that would be in error
      Romans 14
14 Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord.

Looks like you have been Judaized and brought back under the "beggerly elements".
Galatians 4:9 "But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?"
Who bewitched you? (Galatians 3:1-9). All scriptures is for our learning, but the Body of Christ is not Israel, we are a mystery hid in God made of Jew and Gentile alike during Israel's fall (Romans 11, Ephesians 3). Paul says don't let anyone judge you concerning these things. They have no significance for the Body of Christ, the feasts of Israel are prophecies concerning the nation of Israel, and have nothing to do with us today. Once the fullness of the Gentiles comes in to Paul's ministry (Romans 11:25), then God will return to saving Israel as it is written (Romans 11:26), then the feasts of Israel will be fulfilled (the last 3, Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles).
The Body of Christ is not Israel, has nothing to do with Israel's feasts, covenants, laws, or anything to do with that nations national destiny as a nation of priests.

Yes we are to obey Gods laws! However if Jesus fulfilled the feast, may I ask why would we keep them now? I believe perhaps the Jews are to keep the Passover, Shavuot (Pentecost) and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles as a reminder of how God delivered them out of Egypt and kept them 40 years but why would a Gentile Christian keep the feast?

    • @VFXShawn
      @VFXShawn Před 3 měsíci +2

@@sisterbecky411 The Body of Christ has no reason to keep the feasts, but we should study them, so we can explain how Jesus fulfills them and what they mean. All the feasts are about prophetic events concerning Jesus and Israel. We should be able to explain to Jews that Jesus is their Messiah, and show how Jesus is the meaning behind those feasts. We can also learn about how Christ will deal with Israel in the future based on the final 3 feasts (Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles).

I always found it odd that American Christians have been so quick to accept holidays like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, which aren’t necessarily in The Bible yet when asked about The Holy Days of The Lord they say we don’t need to keep them…
It’s not about needing to keep them, why aren’t you willing to but so open to others even pagan holidays? (Talking about Halloween not Christmas).
I am more recently discovering the Feast days and they have been such a blessing as I celebrate with Messianic Jews!

The fact that observing those festivals were all a Christian obligation was not the issue, which is why Paul used the phrase "are shadows of things to come" instead of "were shadows that were fulfilled by Christ". the depth of knowledge you have... because you're Jewish... and because you know and love Israel's true and living Messiah... and because you LOVE the WHOLE Word of God...is priceless. 💖✨

If I could move to Israel I would! I am ashamed of America and in love and unity with Israel, praying constantly for the soldiers and the hostages and for the safety and salvation of Israel in what's going on with them now... more than ever before. ❤😢

Yahweh is on every page in His great Mercy, Power and Love and Justice on every living page of His Holy Bible. It is where the early church learned about God-soooo much there. We need the Holy spirit in His Mercy to open our eyes to see. God grant us humility to hear and see.

If we don’t know the sound of the trumpet, the day of atonement/redemption, Passover, etc. we will miss the sign and the times.
And we are committed to honor Him and do as He says.
We now take the Old Testament and the New and celebrate according to the Word of God.

Thank you for sharing this information, it is a large topic, and I always find new information that helps me understand the wonderful service that Yeshua does for us.
It's wonderful how all the biblical books are related to each other. They all contribute great teachings, and every time you read something, new things come to light.
In the book of Hebrews, mainly in chapters 7 to 10, the relationship between the earthly Sanctuary and the heavenly one is discussed. In Exodus 25:40; Ex. 26:30; Num. 8:34 speaks of a model on which the earthly sanctuary was based, so to understand the heavenly one it is key to consider the services and festivals of the earthly one. When one studies all of these elements, and then when reading Revelation, one notices many of the elements of the Sanctuary in that book:
    * The lampstand--> Apoc. 1:12-20
    * The inauguration of the sanctuary --> Apoc. 4:1 with the door and its relationship with the doors of the Sanctuary. 1 Kings 8:10-11, and when the Ark of the Covenant was accessible at the inauguration and on the Day of Atonement.
    * The Feast of Trumpets --> Rev. 8 and 9
    * The Day of Atonement --> Apoc. 11:19, 15:5 a day a year when the priest had access to the Ark of the Covenant. And then when the priest's intercession ends in Rev. 15:8
    * The millennium Apoc. 20, when the saints will be outside the earth, the equivalent of the festival of the cabins when they left their homes and lived in cabins. And the punishment of Azazel in the desert, the desolate land for 1000 years and its relationship with the destruction of Satan and the followers of him.
The explanation made of the relationships of the Earthly Sanctuary and the service that Yeshua does in the Celestial Sanctuary is very interesting, in the books Christ in His Sanctuary, The History of Redemption and Great Controversy Chap. 24 and 29

It's amazing to come to understand that the feasts are packed with meaning and are prophetic to God's future plans. However, I need my conviction of keeping the feast to be more bullet proof. Can you consider doing a video on Colossians? Where the apostle Paul seems to suggest, at least in one view of interpretation, for believers to not fall back to the elements of the world, which, in the said view, are tied to the feasts, new moon, Sabbath keeping, etc. But in reading through that scripture it seems that he is supporting the keeping of those things without judgment.
    God bless

Brothers in Messiah Yahushuah. I love your ministry and praise Yah for all you do. In this one topic for the first time I will have to disagree. YHWH says, these are MY feasts forever. Therefor we do not have to be told to keep them in the NT. The pattern is already established. Furthermore, each disciple, kept the feasts post resurrection and ascension. YHWH’s feasts are a blessing to us as memorial, object lessons, foreshadow of the work of Messiah. From a spirit filled Torah observant betrothed bride of Messiah. Shalom!

The pastor where I go to church always says “well we’re on this side of the Law now bc of Jesus” 🙄 and reply is we’re only free from the Law of sacrifice. And the Apostles and disciples all followed Torah and acknowledged LORD’s Feasts

#7 The Beginning of Barley Harvest
    By Elder Tim McCool
Every word in the Bible is important and inspired by the Holy Spirit. There are no wasted words by the Lord. It is significant that the Lord tells us Ruth and Naomi arrived back in Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest. In this message, I look at why this was so important for them, and for us to understand even today.
Ruth 1:19-22, “So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.”
*The return of a childless widow to a place she left ten years earlier as a happy wife and mother. Naomi was blaming God for her tribulations but God is not at fault as He is bringing her back home. Ruth was righteously helping Naomi in this tribulation. The time of the barley harvest is literally the time of the Passover. They make bread out of barley.
*It is better to starve and die in God’s place (Bethlehem which means “the house of bread”), than it is to live and thrive in the places of the world.
*They returned when there were three festivals about to begin. Just as the Godhead is three in one, Ruth and Naomi arrived during the feast of the Passover, the feast of the unleavened bread, and the feast of the first fruits. Passover represents God the Father, Unleavened Bread represents Christ, and First Fruits represents the Holy Spirit.
The timing of our Lord is amazing as Ruth and Naomi arrived possibly on the first day of these festivals and it would all lead to Pentecost 50 days later when all of the harvest is gathered up and stored/protected. The story of Ruth and Boaz is the story of “The Kinsman Redeemer” where the desolate were in a foreign land representing our depravity but were redeemed by acts of righteousness representing the works of Christ to bring us home to the Lord. God directed Ruth to the field Boaz was standing in and Boaz means strength. Boaz showed kindness to Ruth because he loved her mother-in law Naomi. Boaz was not pursuing Ruth as a spouse as he was not a kinsman to her. Through the grace of God Boaz and Ruth were married in Bethlehem which means “the house of bread”. When we read in Ruth 4:17-22 we see the significance of this marriage:
Ruth 4:17-22, “And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.” David of course is King David who’s bloodline lineage would be that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:
Revelation 5:4-5, “And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”
    Connecting Verses Mentioning Barley:
Exodus 9:31-32, “And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled. But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.”
Ruth 2:23-“So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.”
2nd Samuel 21:9-“And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.”

Understanding the Old Testament is one thing but keeping the Old Covenant feasts is like a new mother continuing certain routines she had to follow during her pregnancy (eg attending pre natal classes) and neglecting her child in order to do so.

Holy Feast days are sacred and prayerfully experienced with community. Much grace comes from Christ to us. The 2000 year old Faith lived has many beautiful deeply rich Feast days. It would be a joy to celebrate the old Testament ones too.
For example we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity.
The Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. Known as Corpus Christi.
The Feast of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit. To just name a few out of many.
