Saw them in 2010 in St. Louis mo nvr heard them before. Loved them. Bought this album at show 2 records and cd. Meet them and they all signed below their pics!!! Great guys
Saw these guys perform this live at Byron Blues fest 2012, it was amazingly moving....never heard of them before then...only wish I had. Thank you for the post!
I think these walls have a message or have chains, which it is I can't decide. So I'll leave with the rider that remains and let him tell me what his better days were like. And I sit with the memory of Kings with only words to criticize, as if I finally found the antidote for pain without really knowing what that's really like. And our actor ends his love song, and all these lovers sit and stare. If I don't find peace in the valley, it's because there wasn't any there. I will move somewhere the ocean has never seen. Somewhere weeds just make their place. Where my best friends exist only on screen. Where my love all fits in frames. Well I want fire tumbling out into the night. I want you to know why you hold me close. Pull the quarter from my ear or say you try, I need magic or the Holy Ghost. And as I drive home through these canyons, I'm still feeling like a crook. If I don't find peace in this valley, I got no place else to look. piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace piece Peace
"(There Will Be) Peace In The Valley (For Me)" Oh well, I'm tired and so weary But I must go alone Till the Lord comes and calls, calls me away, oh yes Well the morning's so bright And the lamp is alight And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes There will be peace in the valley for me, some day There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray There'll be no sadness, no sorrow No trouble, trouble I see There will be peace in the valley for me, for me Well the bear will be gentle And the wolves will be tame And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes And the beasts from the wild Shall be lit by a child And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes There will be peace in the valley for me, some day There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray There'll be no sadness, no sorrow No trouble, trouble I see There will be peace in the valley for me, for me (Thomas A. Dorsey)
I also find a lot of inspiration out of Wilco's "At Least That's What You Said". Pat Sansone, guitarist (among other things, and for whom having played/heard "At Least That's What You Said" is nearly guaranteed) for the band, actually worked on this album and got some of their start. Jackson Browne also appears on "Fire Away" on their next album, Nothing is Wrong!
Areli Martin Del Campo I'm a cop. Night shift on a friday or saturday night. The song just fits along with thier other song when my time comes. Take care.

I cry every time I hear this song. It's the only song I cry to.

"(There Will Be) Peace In The Valley (For Me)"
Oh well, I'm tired and so weary
But I must go alone
Till the Lord comes and calls, calls me away, oh yes
Well the morning's so bright
And the lamp is alight
And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes

There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me
Well the bear will be gentle

Love Cash's rendition of that in San Quentin
They're the best
u got awesome blog and awesome music! keep it up!
Nice song.
parts of this song sound like parts of neil diamond's 'dry your eyes' and DMB's 'grey street'. you know what i'm talkin about.
+Dan Whitehead AND Joe Walsh's 'In the City'. No shade, no shame. The song remains the same.

There are only so many chords but your point is a good one
Without knowing what that's really like
ONE TREE HILL! :D
Bit of u2-in there too , try wilko - California stars next .
Fuckin Rock and Roll
What do you guys imagine while listening to this?
Driving away far away from home, alone with the trees and God. It brings the nostalgia feeling.
Areli Martin Del Campo I'm a cop. Night shift on a friday or saturday night. The song just fits along with thier other song when my time comes. Take care.
not trying to be edgy or depressing, but my life's journey and its eventual end.
going or coming back to or from a pending feeling that has finally been resolved.
Walking through the crowd as Jesus gives the Sermon on the Mount
I think these walls have a message or have changed
Which it is I can't decide
So I leave with the writer that remains
And let him tell me what his better days were like
And I sit with the memory of kings
With only words to criticize
As if I finally found the antidote for pain
Without knowing what that's really like
And our actor ends his love song
And all these lovers sit and stare
If I don't find peace in the valley
It's cause there wasn't any there
I will move somewhere the ocean's never seen
Somewhere weeds just make their claim
Where my best friends exist only on screen
Where my love all fits in frame
But I want fire tumbling out into the night
I want you to know why you hold me close
Pull the quarter from my ear, or say you tried
I need magic or the holy ghost
And as I drive on through these canyons
I'm still feeling like a crook
If I don't find peace in the valley
I've got no place else to look
Not bad, but nothing special either. @ Brandonbug A bit of U2? There's really no similarity what so ever pls don't insult them!
